doublex98 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 This park is loooking amazingly good! I cant wait to see whats going on in Greece!
vekoma_fan Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 ^Um, what about the ride entrance and exit? The stations would be in the way. I know how to synchronize stations. I said in my last post I know how to make two. Make the middle station a bit longer then the others, and make the tracks go under the entrance/exit... do you understand what I talking about?
niiicolaaah Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 The Furies The Furies (Erinyes) were the characterization of vengeance in Greek and Roman mythology. The three sisters Alecto ("unceasing"), Magaera ("grudging"), and Tisiphone ("avenging murder"), tormented evil-doers. The Furies at Ultraworld is a three-tracked, racing/dueling coaster. The peeps love this one. Especially Tisiphone, for some reason. So yeah, as long as you haven't killed your brother or cheated on your wife, you have nothing to fear from this coaster. It's not like a Vekoma or something. Here is the station. You can see a faint white line where the actual station ends and the additional roof begins. I hope this picture clears up how to make a three-tracked ride. It's a big old mess of track. Here's one of the duels... I so timed this pic wrong. I wish I could make a video of the ride. Another poorly-timed shot... side-by-side heartline rolls. And the final race to the station. I also made a few improvements to the park: The water park got a new name: Splash Acres! There was this little corner in the midway where a bunch of peeps were randomly wandering around.. hmm, what to do? I think I'll add a round-up... That's just what was needed! yay!
coasterdude5 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Great work! It's cool how you incorporated the three adjacent stations together, I never would've thought of doing it that way. This park is awesome.
Steffen_Dk Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I don't find the coaster/coasters ugly at all. With some trees and some more theming I think, they'll look amazingly good. And I really like the background story of the coasters - fine little detail
Golfie Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Change the dueling coasters' colors and it might look a bit snappier. The current color scheme reminds me of something right out of Japan, not Greece!
niiicolaaah Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 ^Yeah. Originally they were all black, but I didn't like how that looked. Then I did black with the colored rails and I still didn't like how it looked. Does anybody have any suggestions? It's much easier to match colors with only 2 tracks. I also wanted Tisiphone to be red cause she's avenging murder. I'll do some landscaping around the ride eventually too... I was thinking of adding a few tunnels also, we'll see if that helps.
Golfie Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Try using an full olive green for one (you know, cuz Greek olives and all), a full pale yellow for another, and a full pale brown for the last one.
doublex98 Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 love the racing coasters..I think they look great!
Goliath513 Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Looking good Nicole. Do you have any custom scenery in this park?
niiicolaaah Posted July 12, 2007 Author Posted July 12, 2007 ^I do have custom scenery. I am honestly not sure where all of it came from. I have some custom paths and other things. Thanks again everybody for your input. I did not have time to work on the park today, but I hope to do so tomorrow.
thefitness Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 The park looks great. I've never seen anyone use a wooden coaster for a Shoot-The-Chutes ride, Very Creative! For now, I like the colors of the coasters. Maybe my opinion will change after you theme/landscape them a little more. Nice job on this park!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 ^I do have custom scenery. I am honestly not sure where all of it came from. I have some custom paths and other things. Thanks again everybody for your input. I did not have time to work on the park today, but I hope to do so tomorrow. You automatically get it when you download parks. And keep up the good work! I love the furries!
coasterJunkie94 Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Good so i dont have to download abunch of crap !
niiicolaaah Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 ^Are you calling my park crap, or saying you won't have to download a bunch of stuff to make my park work on your computer? BTW, the park won't be ready for download for a LONG time, but can anybody tell me how to make a download for it?
niiicolaaah Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 Ancient Greece I changed the colors of The Furies. What do you think? I also added two flat rides to Ancient Greece: Cyclops and The Minotaur's Maze. And two dark rides that share a building, Erebus (the path to the underworld) and The River Styx. Work has begun on the Jungle. I added a family coaster, Prowler. Here's the front of the station. A flat ride, another food court, and the last skyride station. That's it for now. Comments? Suggestions?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 BTW, the park won't be ready for download for a LONG time, but can anybody tell me how to make a download for it? Save the game at the point you are ready to post it as a download. The SV6 file will be in one of these three locations. (It depends on how old your copy is and which copy you have) C:/Program files/atari/RollerCoaster Tycoon 2/saved games C:/Program files/atari/RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 triple thrill pack/saved games C:/Program files/infrogrames interactive/RollerCoaster Tycoon 2/saved games The furries' new colors look nice!
coastercrazed49 Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Looks good. The colors are much better then before. On the last pic you have a whole lot of benches. Maybe to much?
niiicolaaah Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Splash Acres I added a couple rides for the family, a small slide and swan boats. And here's an overview of Splash Acres: Triton Also, over in Ancient Greece, a new coaster has been built: Triton, an Intamin hyper! In Greek mythology, Triton was a god of water and the sea. Big dip out of the station Up the lift, woo There are some airtime hills in between that I didn't take pics of, then: The turnaround (plus stats) Then some more airtime hills and: Return to the station. I have since added a station to this... lol What do you guys think?
coastercrazed49 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Looks really good. I really like that turn around I don't know why, but it just looks cool. It will deffinetly be better with the station though. Keep up the good work.
thefitness Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 The park is looking really nice! The new colors/themeing looks awesome on the Furies. Can't wait to see more!
coasterdude5 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Looks great! Triton looks awesome, I really like the big drop out of the station.
niiicolaaah Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Random piece of trivia: Triton was inspired by three B&M coasters. Can anybody guess which coasters? Hint: Turn out of the station, lift hill, turnarounds.
coasterdude5 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Goliath at SFOG Nitro at SFGADV and maybe Wildfire at SDC??? It has a pretty big drop out of the station.
