I'm in California and I'm planning to take a trip out to Cedar Point.

I never been there but I'm curious to know how many days I will need to hit up all the coasters? What month during the summer is the best time to go and which days are best to avoid the crowds?

Is there a hotel by the park where I can stay at?

Thanks!

I've been to Cedar Point on a Saturday in August 2005. The weather wasn't so good.

I've spent only one day: from 10am till past 11pm and I didn't get all the major credits. I've missed about 5 coasters and all the flat/water rides. So I would say that you need at least two days to get the whole credit list done!

My friends are planning to go there in a couple of weeks and they are flying to Cleveland and they are going to rent a car there.

That's all I can say. I hope to be helpful!

It depends on when you're going. If you go in June during a weekday, you can hit everything in one day. If you go on a weekend in July or August, however, you might need three days just to see everything.

I'd suggest June, and any day Sunday through Wednesday.

Cedar Point has several on-site resort hotels as well as hotels on the mainland. There is also a huge tourism area just south of the park on 250.

Toledo or Cleveland is your best bet.

I like staying at Lighthouse Point, but that's cause there were a lot of us (6). For smaller groups, however, I recommend the old Hotel Breakers. Great views, VERY conveniently located, and not too expensive.

I went the first week of August in 2005. I spent 3 days at Cedar Point and it took me 2 days to get all the credits. It was very crowded but was not terrible, since Cedar Point is good at getting people though the lines quickly.

Personally I always stay at Breakers Express.

It's an affordable hotel, and is very nice. It's not like the rat traps that you can find on 250. Plus you still get early entry like all Cedar Point resorts.

I've looked into Lighthouse Point, Breakers, etc before, but I've just enver been able to justify the extra cost. Breakers Express is much cheaper then the other hotels.

I just can't justify spending 2x as much for a room I'm only going to sleep in. Even if it means not being walking distance.
