True, but it's still longer than Oblivion!

 

 

I gotta say this ride has been overly hyped (as a rollercoaster). Yeah it's big, but it doesn't look as imtimidating as Oblivion does.

 

The whole point of the Dive Machine was to be intimidating, but I just can't see the fear factor here. The second drop looks better than the first - at least you go underground on that one.

^^ The shortness of it really didn't hit me either until I saw how fast they made it to the 2nd drop. The thing that concerns me the most about the ride is how drawn out the transitions are. It just looks ..... well ..... forceless.

 

Guess I will find out in about a week.

Yeah, the POV it really crap.

But does G5 in Tiawan look indimmedating?

I think this coaster looks brilliant. I live somewhere were there are no coasters at all. So this is amazing to me.

Oh my it looks terribly tame. Unfortunately when i went a few weeks ago i didnt get to see any testing, it looks quite impressive height wise, but a very compact looking ride. I guess it doesn't have the "oblivion" element of facing into a gaping whole surrounded by mist.

The second drop is into a hole a bit...anyway Screamscape's review makes it sound awesome.

All of the onride POVs the media had were crap... The only quality one I liked from my local stations were FOX 13's and Newschannel (NBC) 8's. My local one, ABC 7 (or if your a true local, ABC 40) lost sound during the Immelman area.

 

Can't wait to ride this tomorrow! Especially after reading George's (SirWillow) review of that thing on media day. 8)

Hmm we could fly into ATL (Atlanta) and make the drive and hit DW while in the area .. or go to Toronto and hit those rides over Memorial Day .. oh the choices.
