This is a TR of spring break at Disneyland. The lines were long and that killed me the most. The batteries on my camera kept on running out. I have limited photos but its my first time so go easy on me please. The rides I rode but have no photos of were Matterhorn and pirates of the caribbean.

There was a situation that really got me pissed because it took away my morning and we ended up waiting too long for Rocking Space Mountain. What happened was, we were upgrading our passes to deluxe. we live 2 hours away and we got up at 5 to leave early at 6 and get there by 8:30. We forgot our passes and we need them to upgrade. The information is in the computer for the upgrading, But the lady said they wanted to make us pay $20 per pass to restock the old ones, On top of the $360 we were spending on the deluxe passes. Maybe the fact that our old passes blocked that day out? What doesnt make sense is that we were going to surrender them anyway so why restock them if you aren't going to give me the pass and the information is in your face?????Plus the guest services outside Disneyland said the same thing After the guest services in California Adventure Said we could get the money back. This ended up with us waiting for space mountain 1 hour and on the line my dad was calling the guest relations of Disney so we could get the 60 dollars back. We solved the issue quickly and rode the ride. I would really like to know your opinion on if i should be mad because i feel really irked.

I loved Rocking both parks. It was the most fun i have ever had but i didn't like the California screamin soundtrack. It was great to have the sound track though! I believed that the better ride came with California Screamin but the better effects and fun came from space mountain. My favorite parts of both rides came when you went over a hill and got AIRTIME!!!

To sum up the trip, it was a lot of 1 hour waits at least. fast pass ran out at noon for everything and all the ques were moving slow. But what can you expect from spring break.

Now for some random photos (note: most are of California Screamin .The best ride they have.)

^ I'm on it. I'm going to re-size them.

Please note the rules that it says right under "Add Photo or Attachment"

Maximum photo size: 800 x 600 and less than 150k

^ Type in "image resize tool" into Google and you'll find plenty of free options to download.

Nice TR, BTW.

I understand the size rules, but i don't know how to resize them

Sorry

Almost any paint or graphic editing software will have some resize function. MS Paint will do it but only as a percentage of the total size. Try downloading the GIMP at http://www.gimp.org/windows/ . It will have all the features you will likely ever need.

Cool report. Wow an hour for space mountain? 40 minutes is like my max for any ride, I guess I just don't have the patience some people do. I went last friday with my brother and the crowds were like semi-heavy. We managed to do alot of rides though, but we got lots of fastpasses and park-hopped like 4 or 5 times. We're planning to go in may again so it should be light crowds *crosses fingers*

I should probably know this, but what is up the water that sprays up from the California Screamin launch track?

I think it's something that they do to make waves to simulate the ocean. If you get lucky they will hit rocks and you will get sprayed. I was in that train in the last row and thats where lots of the people were bieng sprayed. But it was still the best ride in the park.

I went on the first 2 days of spring break (Monday/Tuesday), And I didn't get too many photos of actually how many people were there. There were many out of country tourists and lots of people either strolling slowly while I am behind or people that stand in the middle of the sidewalk just talking to their party of 20. Fast passes ran out at about noon and soaring over California Had a longer fast pass line than the ride line. We did Disneyland Monday and California adventure Tuesday with a little park hopping on Tuesday. Now I know this may seem a while away but the best time to go is the first 10 days of August. I don't know about may but I expect there to be to many lines in may.

When you went did you see chuck working? Because i met him working California screamin.

You didn't ride Matterhorn?

The mist (not the waves) on the Screamin launch is the world's first liquid cooled LIM system. Back when DCA opened the ride didn't get enough cooling, so for a while until the mist system got installed there were maintenance guys constantly standing out there with a hose soaking the launch after each train. The waves are just for awesome show.

I made a mistake. You are correct about the mist. I thought we were discussing the waves only. If you read the intro it states "the rides i rode but have no photos of were Matterhorn and Pirates of the Caribbean".

/\ /\ /\ Cool I am so going in early august now too . Oh and I was figuring the crowds would be light in may cause the SoCal 2fer will have just ended. And no I didn't see chuck working, I was keeping and eye out at California Screamin' to.

The lines in August are about 1/20 the lines we had on spring break. 5 minutes for everything and at least 5 rides on everything. Me and my friend went on space mountain 3 times in a row with no wait and we just ran all the way around until we had to leave. Most lines that are long are for pirates and all fantasyland attractions except matterhorn.

Cool Pic's of Dis'land. I use Paint Shop Pro to resize my photo's.

The Q lines at Alton Towers can be 2.5 hours during the summer. I always go to a Park off-peak, 2nd week of Sept when the school are back and most of the rides are walk-on's.

I've never been to DCA...that section "in the water" where they launch the coaster- there are no railings on the catwalks- what do they do if they need to evac the ride there? Do people fall in?

If you look in californiascreamer's avatar, or any picture of the launch, the weird //// shape edge to the water side of the launch area is fold-up railings.

Indy and Buzz Lightyear have similar things that are 100% automatic if the ride goes down, or stops for a while (Buzz). Surprised me the first time I saw them silently fold up and down while I burned the crap out of the nearest triangle target.

Oh, and glad to hear you rode Matterhorn, I fail at reading comprehension when pretty pictures are around.
