coastercrazed49 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Oooo I now what the picture is.... Its a orange square. Those pictures bring back some good memories, event though that was like only a month ago.
coasterdude5 Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Update Year 11 Announcement This year's addition is.... Any guesses? It's a restaurant. HARD ROCK CAFE It's gotta be my favorite place to eat. I heard they'll double the size of it when the Hershey Hawaii area behind it starts to develop. More soon.
Steffen_Dk Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Looks great. Love the pic, where Tigre is coming out of Hard Rock Café's roof..
coasterdude5 Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 Update Year 11 [i fixed the supports, but I left some default supports in intentionally] Come on man, don't cover your eyes... Looks like they're extending the boardwalk, again... I want Mine Mountain to return. I've never noticed how close these rides come together. A construction wall has gone up in the Hershey Grove area. Any ideas? This ride might not look great at day, but it's awesome at night. More soon.
Steffen_Dk Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Love the first pic. The coaster looks extremely big
coasterdude5 Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Update Year 12 Announcement TANTALUSHAWAIIAN ESCAPE - Year 12 at Hershey's Hawaiian Escape brings alot of wood - and drops, turns and plunges. Tantalus will become the park's 8th coaster, and the only wooden coaster around. Riders will climb 90 feet before plunging down a twisted turn, and then winding through the ride's intensely-compact layout, featuring airtime-induced hills, and turns. The parks opens for the Year 12 season tomorrow. They sure can pack it in. Will it beat Mine Mountain? Probably. The ride practically engulfs the carousel. It does compliment the new boardwalk area. A hershey store has been added towards the end of the park. They quietly installed this SkyRide, I wonder why there was no announcment? It looks great at night. The queue is practically indoors. The coaster is one of the best wooden coasters I've ever been on - and I've been on alot. This drop is the best one on the ride. Park overview. More soon. Hershey's Hawaiian Escape returns: April 27th
Thorpe park maniac Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 kl, is that the place where mine train was?
Steffen_Dk Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Wow This park is really good looking - and that new coaster!! I don't know what to say, it looks so incredible intense = LOVE IT
coasterdude5 Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 kl, is that the place where mine train was? Yes. Thank for all of the comments!
Disney Dood Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 The woodie, it's so small, and compact, it hurts my head to think how compact it is! I like it.
ebtkid Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Is the woodie Boardwalk Bullet inspired? It reminded me of that.
thrillrideseeker Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 WoW! TANTALUS looks great! I love the compact layout although it looks a little painful. I think you did a great job! Keep up the good work! Amazing park! ~Matthew
coasterdude5 Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks for all the comments! Looking forward to the 27th.
texashorns82492 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 What scenery pack did you use for that building? That's exactly what I'm looking for for my park.
kennywood!007 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 ^He used Shy Guy's Alpine Village Sets. Thats a mixture with packs 1 & 3 I believe...
coasterdude5 Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 Update Year 16 Construction Hey, long time no see, it's been about 2 years since Tantalus was added, and nothing has happened. The park has focused on stablizing after all of this growth. Looks like something's starting to get going: Some land clearing has been going on around The Falls. Could the ride be on the way out? Looks to be closing to me Whoa, that was quick Here's what they've got to work with. They better add another water ride, because as of now, the park doesn't have one. I hope this isn't another continuation of Bay Lake. I better leave, it's getting late - but look what I was handed: Concept Art Looks like an updated version of The Falls, hmm.... that's odd. Maybe the ride was having some mechanical problems or something. But what's the building that goes over it? The ride is announced - next update.
coastercrazed49 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Sweet! Bigger Splash Boats, are always better! Keep up the Great Work!!!
coasterdude5 Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 Update Year 16 Update Kaena Point Falls HERSHEY HAWAII - Hershey's Hawaiian Escape is excited to announce a thrilling new addition for the Year 16 season. Kaena Point Falls will reach to a height of 50 feet before plunging riders down a chute under the new Kaena Point Hall Museum below. The new Museum will showcase some of the historic Kaena Point's most relevant artifacts, and will offer a great (and dry) view of the ride. The park opens for the Year 16 season this week. It's the same concept as The Falls, just updated, and a little bigger. The capacity is also better. It's a fun ride These folks are about to get soaked. The park added this soak zone... Because you don't get soaked inside the museum. I like the museum, but a few things concern me: (a) - People might not realize that it's the only way across. (b) - It will probably cause a traffic jam during peak days Good thing there is a way around it. As you probably guessed, the ride creates a decent wave. Not as big as Perilous Plunge at Knott's, though. Kaena Point Falls, Hershey's Hawaiian Escape's only water ride. In other park news, I heard some talk that the park might be renamed to Hershey's Escape. Don't worry, I spoke to a park rep and he said it was considered when they decided to name the whole resort overall to Hershey Hawaii, but the park itself will remain as Hershey's Hawaiian Escape.
Steffen_Dk Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I really like the new ride. More modern and I think it has a more tropical feeling than the older one. Great job.
