coastercrazed49 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Tigre So excited to see what happens to that new area!!!
thrillrideseeker Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 This is so not fair. How can you be so good at making parks and I suck? ~Matthew
coasterdude5 Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 Update Year 8 Announcement  Year 7 has flown by, I can't believe next year's attraction is about to be announced! I got an invite to the press conference - that's where I am now.  Whoa.   HERSHEY'S HAWAIIAN ESCAPE - In Year 8, Hawaiian Escape visitors will have the chance to take on yet another scream machine: Sulfur.  Set among the new "Great Outdoors" section, riders will climb an antagonizing 190 foot lift hill, before dropping 180 feet into a twisted array of forceful drops, turns, and other elements.  The ride's finale will consist of a near-miss with the new Great Bay Lake, and a massive overbanked turn.  The ride is expected to open when the park opens for Year 8.  I'm speechless - I didn't think the park was capable of an attraction of this size.  I guess Hershey has named this "Great Bay Lake"  The massive lift hill  The Great Outdoors section is apparently going to be the area to escape from the rest of the park, (there won't be many major attractions)  Overview of the area.  I think the overbank is going to be forceful. That's just a guess, though.  I can't wait to ride this...  Looks like you'll be able to touch the water.  Now the park really has a skyline.  Here's a view from just outside the park on one of the roads bordering the park.  I like the coaster's station - it fits in with the new area.  One last overview of the park, as of now. More soon.
thrillrideseeker Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 OMG I love your park! It is so realistic the way you announce your rides, I love the way they all fit in with the surrounding scenery! You are great at this! ~Matthew
ComplexAudio99 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I really like this park. Its kind of like watching a six flags park (Marine World). Â Too bad that the intamin coaster immediately brakes after the last drop, but oh well. I'm sure the new hyper, Sulfur, will be full of airtime! Â Can't wait to see the next update!
texashorns82492 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 In one of the pictures it looks like the lift hill supports were off. Other than that Sulfur looks awesome! Very realistic.
coastakid Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 This park is absolutely stunning...Great Job! Â Â (P.S the supports on the new B&M Hyper are not connected to the track on the lift...)
coasterdude5 Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 ^ Right, I have since changed them (I was working on this part of the park over a month ago)
kennywood!007 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Nice hyper! One thing, do you know the supports on the lift don't reach the track? Is it one of the things where it either doesn't touch or goes trough the track....I get that ALL THE TIME!
coasterdude5 Posted April 1, 2007 Author Posted April 1, 2007 Update Year 9  Hey, I've been gone for a while now on business. We've got alot to catch up on.  While I was gone, the park installed this:  Turbulence  I heard Hershey had been sick ever since they had to cancel the Turbulence at HP in Pennsylvania.  So they brought in Intamin to build them their version.  The ball coaster is one of Intamin's newest models.  Haha, a friend sent me this construction pic - a little too late for that.  The ride towers over the path below  Yet it takes up about as much space as an impulse does.  Standing over 13 stories tall, the ride can be seen from almost anywhere in the park.  Year 9 Park overview  Alot of people say the park has "jumped the shark", that the park will become the Hawaiian Magic Mountain, and that they are waiting for Seaworld to open and put HHE out of business, however, I don't think that's happen. Hershey is only trying to get their rep up.  The park also has begun work on the Hershey Hawaii aspect of the resort.  You can't pass up T.G.I. Friday's! More soon.
thrillrideseeker Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I love the new ride! Keep up the good work! ~Matthew
parklover19 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 AWESOME PARK!!! Where did you get the awnings on T.G.I. Fridays?
coastercrazed49 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 This is deffinetly one of the best RCT3 parks I've ever seen. Â Keep up the awesome work!!!
coasterdude5 Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 Update Year 9  This year has been a bit slow, not alot is happening. I'm also sad to report I heard nothing huge is coming next year - even though it will be the park's tenth anniversary...  There's Sulfur's station.  The supports have yet to been fixed.  Here's a good shot of Tidal Wave's layout  Turbulence has been doing great lately  T.G.I. Fridays!  Reminds me of Goliath  Airtime!  Looks like they're extending the Great Outdoors section  Sulfur kinda takes over a piece of the park, as you can see.  An Outback Steakhouse has been added to the Colonial Hawaii area of the park.  With Tigre in the background  This area is looking nice so far.  Oh yeah, I heard this is on the way out, hey, look at all the land behind it! More soon.
thrillrideseeker Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 You are doing great! I cant wait to see the next update! Keep up the good work! ~Matthew
Tobias94 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Very nice John. I think this is the best Rct3 park i've ever seen. Keep up the good work.
coasterdude5 Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 Thanks for the comments! Â I should have another update later today.
coasterdude5 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 Update Year 9  Time for some construction for Year 10. I heard Hershey isn't making a big deal out of the park's tenth anniversary because Hersheypark is having there 100th.  I was right, the River Rapids is leaving the park  It's one of the few rides left that opened with the park.  I've heard two scenarios: (a) Hybrid Coaster and (b) new area with various family rides.  Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the park set up this small concert stage for various performers throughout the year.  Masks aand hot Hawaiian chicks included.  This shot never gets old to me.  The park did announce a mid-season installment - a classic returning... cam anybody guess?  Phoenix!  Next year's additions should be announced soon - what will it be, a coaster or a new section?
coastercrazed49 Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Just simply amazing. Â Â Keep up the amazing work.
