After checking the Knotts website, I have begun to plan my trip to my original home park. Just a few questions because I havent been there in a while:

- I have a day off on the 16th of March in which It would be nice to go but Xcelerator will be closed for rehab. Should I go anyways or plan for another date? (i have a friend thats dying to ride it)

-Would a saturday such as the 3rd be very busy or would there be minimal crowds?

Thanks for the help!

As for changing the date, I would do it just to ride Xcelerator. It's an awesome ride, and if you have the chance, it's worth a change of date.

I'm not sure how busy Knott's would be on Saturday the 3rd, because I haven't been there on a Saturday any time recently... But I've heard that it gets more crowded than any other day. Sundays are usually pretty good days to go, or if possible, weekdays.

Xcelerator's line has averaged around 10-20 minutes for me, depending on the crowds... The shortest it's been is walk-on, but the longest has been an hour and a half... It's kind of random.

Tip 1: Don't go to Knotts, you'll be saddened if you do

Tip 2: If you are going in hope of riding Xcelerator, do it when it's actually opened. I don't see there being much problem with crowds on (I'm assuming) March 3. I know before that is a Physics Day, but that may help you out. Just be certain to head right to Xcelerator when you have the chance and you should be able to get in a ride or 2 with minimal waits.

^I like Knott's better than SFMM, so it's obviously not bad IMHO.

I would hold off for Xcelerator too. It's a great ride, and I think it being open is worth a little delay in the trip.

I frequent the park so I have some tips.

YES, don't go on the 16th, go when Xcelerator is open because it is the best ride there!!

Saturdays tend to be busy, if you can try to go on a Sunday.

1. Get there 20min before park opening

2. Go strait to Xcelerator (you can get a bunch of re rides without leaving you seat)

3. If Xcelerator is not open go strait to Silver Bullet.

3. Ride Ghostrider towards lunch time or 1 hour after opening.

4. Have FUN!!

They both suck just as much as the other, imo, but of course a bad day at Knotts is better then a good day at work? Right? No not really. But a decent day at Knotts is better then a good day at work.

^ Yeah, Silver Bullet isn't worth a wait more than 10 or 15 minutes... I only wait longer than that if my friends absolutely insist on waiting... Which is never worth it.

I havent been to knotts in like 2 years but it is a great park! And others agree as in guests! Its a popular park and the lines are usualy just genaricly long especialy if you go on the weekend. other than that it should be a great visit!
