planning trip to florida which are best coasters parks

i am 38 years old and planning a trip with my 13 years old son in florida in april. I don't think i i want go to disneyland ... i prefer universal sea world .....

 

can you give your opinions

 

what are for you the best coasters parks ? bush gardens seems fine but may be there are other one i didn't find any six flags in florida

 

other question in universal studios there is a meal deal 1 day food for 18.99 $ restrictions applies but are not the website does anyone have already test these tickets do you think it is a good deal if you stay from evening till evening in the park ?

Personally, I really do enjoy Disney so I would think by not going you could be missing out on a lot of fun, especially if you are there for any extended period of time.

 

But if you're only in the area for a few days, and want to focus on coastes, then I'd make sure you hit Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens Tampa.

Deffinately go to Busch Gardens,they probally have the best collection of coasters in Florida.Also Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios are two very good parks.

 

I agree with Robb,I don't think you should miss out on DisneyWorld.If your not sure you want to go just pick out one of thier parks that appeals to you the most. 99.9% of the time you can't go bad with Disney!

 

As for the Meal Deal I jsut tried that out yesterday.If your going to be at the park for the whole day(and take advantage of unlimited food from 11:00 to park closing)then yes it's a very good deal.The only draw back is you have a limited selection of resturants,and you have to choose one park or the other.

Hey, I have a similar thing happening this year. In three months time I'll be spending 8 days in Orlando, and this is how I've palnned the trip.

As you all have more experience than me any recommendations would be very much appreciated!

 

Day 1:

Islands of Adventure

 

Day 2:

Magic Kingdom

 

Day 3:

Busch Gardens

 

Day 4:

Seaworld

 

Day 5:

Animal Kingdom/Epcot/MGM

 

Day 6:

Blizzard Beach

 

Day 7:

Universal Studios/IOA

 

Day 8:

Any of the things in disney parks I have left to do.

From my experience in Orlando this past summer, I really think you'd be missing out if you didn't go to the Disney parks. The atmosphere is great and I really enjoyed myself there. Although, one week was kind of overdoing it, if you miss Disney, you're missing one of my favorite parts of Orlando.

I recommend the Disney parks, Islands of Adventure, and Busch Gardens the most. There are some smaller parks in the areas, but they aren't nearly as good as the ones I listed. I've been to Seaworld a few times and I didn't think much of it. If you're interested in sealife then I would recommend going for that, but the coasters there aren't much to rave about in my opinion.

In my opinion (and the opinions of quite a few people here) Epcot is more than a full day park. Trying to squeeze Epcot into the same day as both AK and MGM would mean that you'd barely see anything at any of the parks. Maybe try sticking to AK and MGM on one day, then end your Blizzard Beach day at Epcot, followed by more Epcot on Day 8. If you didn't end up spending all of day 8 at Epcot, you could always revisit your favorite things in the other parks. Epcot is definitely my favorite of the WDW parks, and is one that should definitely not be short changed!

good point Brent, but you have to remember he said he is most interested in "coaster parks", so he is not going to skip BG or IOA. He only has a total of five days at parks, and you really need that much time just for Disney if you haven't been before.

From last I checked, there is a 2 park meal deal. I haven't tried it myself, though, since I'm not really interested in the restaurants that are part of the deal. If you're going to eat a lot and have a big appetite, then certainly take advantage of it. You can eat a lot for less than the typical price of 2 meals. If you want quality food, then look elsewhere.

If you have 5 days I suggest this itinerary in no particular order:

 

Day 1 Universal and IOA

Day 2 Magic Kingdom and Epcot

Day 3 Busch Gardens

Day 4 Universal and IOA

Day 5 Animal Kingdom and MGM

 

Sea World is a great park but since you want to hit parks with thrill rides it only has 1 coaster( although a very good one) and a water ride.It seems like you would rather do both Universal parks for 2 days and I also feel if you come down to Florida you have to do Disney for at least 2 days and Yes Busch Gardens is a must!!!
