Cedar Fair has no concept of theming at all. Look at their attempted themes at Knotts, or that awesome theming on Top Thrill Dragster and how long that lasted. Expect the Paramount parks to get plenty of trash cans, wide open spaces with bright concrete and anything from your childhood to be removed. I can only wonder how much longer the Treasure Cave will exist at PKD.

Alas, that is what makes me most upset with CF is thier lack of theming/design sense.

If they had put a little more effort into the atmosphere of the park, I'm sure Knotts would be a far better place that how it stands currently. Along with offering incentives for non-high school kids to work at knotts.

As far back as I can remember, around 5 years or so old(I am 33 now) I myself and family used to visit Kings Dominion on a regular basis. I always loved the Galaxy and King Kobra. I know I will catch a lot of flack for this, but I wish they would have left the "mountain" alone with the Time Shaft, Haunted river and Land of the Dooz. Why remove three good rides to replace with one? Paramount really did a number on the park with all of the crappy movie theming and whatnot. I preferred the old park with the rides and Hanna Barberra attractions. Maybe CF can remove the unnecessary theming and just make a good old fashioned "traditional" park once again!!

I miss the old days too, but I understand why things are done. I would love nothing more than to go back to the 80's and visit KD but that is because it has been 16+ years since. If the park had stayed the same throughout the years it would get very Boring very fast (see BGW).

I want new and fun coasters and rides every year and if that means changing the park than so be it, you can't have it both ways.

I often wish I could go to the parks before Paramount took over (well, I did, but I was too young to get the experience that I would now) but honestly, I would rather see Paramount still controlling the parks instead of CF.
