TatsuXtreme Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 that turkey must be the acer of turkeys
Real Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Its a turkey...Im sick of the "animals cant die!" Do you know how many homeless and poor people that could feed? Ridiculous.
Primogen18 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 /\ exactly, and wow.. you saved ONE turkey... why is this a newsworthy item? The other 500 million didn't survive thanksgiving day lol
Hercules Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 64 million are killed during the holiday season. Get your facts correct.
FlyingScooter Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Its a turkey...Im sick of the "animals cant die!" Do you know how many homeless and poor people that could feed? Ridiculous. That bird could feed the whole City Mission for a week!
Real Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Yup. I guess its more important to save one edible animal than it is to feed hundreds of dieing, hungry human beings.
Hercules Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 You say that, but what are you actually doing to save those poor and dying souls? Besides, it is one turkey. There are millions that are being slaughtered. There is a surplus of dead turkeys.
Primogen18 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 64 million are killed during the holiday season. Get your facts correct. wow dude chill lol, ok 64 million is still 64 million... lol. 1 in 64 million was saved, lets have a party and i can finally sleep at night...
DallasAlvey Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 That's a nice story but does anyone know how it was that important to get into the news? I'm sure that kind of thing happens all the time even though a lot of turkeys get eaten.
Real Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 You say that, but what are you actually doing to save those poor and dying souls? Well, since you are asking, Im going to find a family in my church who cant afford it or is near/below the poverty line and donating the turkey that I get as my Christmas Bonus. Every year I get one and it sits for months till I get someone to cook it. This time someones going to get a nice turkey for Christmas.
Hercules Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Good for you. That is nice of you to do something like that for someone.
Real Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I love turkey, but have no clue how to cook a whole one. I had one from 3 years ago sit in a freezer for dang near 8 months. Thats wasted food. Its something like an 8-10lb one so its a really nice size. Most of the people at my work complain - thinking they should get alot more but really its a nice gesture that they dont have to do. That and like said, theres alot of needy people who work alot for very little and couldnt even dream of gettin a full meal. I just hope you werent being sarcastic. I wasnt going to say anything unless someone asked...
