benzo41190
I have a palm camera (it can fit in my pocket) If I wanted to take it on rides, should I sneek it on or just have it in my hand when I get on the ride? Also, what kinda camera straps should I use, I have I shoulder strap or just a wrist strap? I know this was konda posted before but this wasent asked. CoasterFanatic
Just ask. If they say no, say OK. If you sneak the camera on the ride and they do not like that, then you might have to face a consequence that you don't want. If I take my camera on a ride, I usually just grip it like I would anywhere else and wrap the strap around my arm.
benzo41190
Like For SFGAm do you think they would take the camera away if I did sneak it on? And if they did would I get it back?
robbalvey
^ If you sneak a camera on a ride and you get caught, be prepared to deal with the consequences, which could include being kicked out of the park, and having your season pass taken away. --Robb
benzo41190
Is there a way I could get permission to take a camera on a ride? And if I did how would I do it?
SharkTums
Like Ted said, just ask permission. You'd be surprised how often they say yes! Elissa "ask and you shall receive!" Alvey
benzo41190
So would I just ask the ride Op? and if they say no would I just put it back in my pocket or would they make me walk all the way to the end of the line? Also, if I had my shoulder strap on, would they be more leanient. And should I say its for a contest or not say anything? I am sorry about all of these questions but I am afraid that I will have to go put it in a locker or go to the back of the line. Thanks for all of your help! Rockman89
You can just ask whoever is checking restraints. If they say no, you just have to put it away or leave it in the station. They won't send you to the end of the line. If you are asked to leave it in the station, you may want to have a bag handy that doesn't scream, "I'm a camera; steal me!" One thing to remember, be nice to the ops and don't whine, because the nicer you are, the higher the chance they will let you film. Plus, it's just better to be nice than a dick. On the issue of straps: They usually don't care what kind of strap it is, it's usually their opinion on park policy. Hope that helped a little. CoasterFanatic
The whole camera issue just begs for "sticky topic" status.
