KrazyT Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Well i decided to head out to my home park today, Busch Gardens Africa [YES, again!!]. The park started out pretty empty in the morning, not a lot of people in the park at all, it got a bit fuller as the day went on, but nothing too bad. The longest line was for Gwazi [at around 20 minutes], since they were only running the Lion side. The weather was spectacular during the morning, in the afternoon it got a bit cloudy, eventhough it was still great. Kumba was running only one train [YES, the line was that short!] Overall, a great visit, as always. On with the pictures! A look at SheiKra over some random fence.... =] Check out the wheelcovers on Montu's train... Vertical loopness for Derek. Schwarzkopf-y goodness! Bulldozers.... Bulldozing... stuff. Theres no better feeling... Immelmann-ness. Vertical loop #2, for Derek. Wheeeeeeee! Oh! restricted stuff! Im telling you, That thing LIES! Lots of green stuff... Warning: Exclusive shot! They almost got me cornered! Hmm... was this there before? Warning: The drop is steeper than it appears! On THIS one i got wet... I almost got wet taking this one! Peaceful, yet thrilling... Going into dark, long tunnels is always fun! *Insert girly screams coming from grown men here* Maybe SheiKra knows where there people are... So much for people.... Ooh look! people! And this PTR ends with a random parking lot photo of Montu... Hope you enjoyed it!
pkdcoaster Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Great Photos! really nice shots. Montu's new wheel covers SUCK!!!!!!! JEFF
BarryH Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Three reasons why I love living in Florida... 1.) No state sales tax 2.) No snow 3.) You can ride coasters in the winter! Great PTR! BGA will probably be pretty quiet unless it's a weekend or until Turkey Day weekend hits.
coasterdude5 Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Great shots of Sheikra, I've never seen a few of them. Good TR, too.
TheStig Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Great Photos! really nice shots. Montu's new wheel covers SUCK!!!!!!! JEFF Ummm they are the EXACT same thing as all the other ones, they just havent added the decals to them yet. Nice PTR, but no python destruction pictures?!?!?!?! Colin C
Nitro1118 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Yikes, Montu needs a paint job badly. The colors are REALLY fading badly.
Satoshi Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 oh no! Kumba runnin' near wooden wall looks kinda so danger. look at the guy puttin' hands up in the last row of train! it's arm chopper to green stuffs plus wall crashin' also looks close call! so BGA should remove that wall!! ouch!
Homer Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I would put my money on that Montu would get a repaint within the next 2 years. Busch got Montu new wheelcovers though, which is nice, I just want decals on them... Any Python deconstruction happening yet?
KrazyT Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 Not yet... you can hear the bulldozers working in the area though... but other than that, Nothing. Thanks for all the comments.
Homer Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 ^Next time you go (doubtful since you live in Miami, which is far), ride the skyride and make sure your camera has a good zoom. -still misses Arrow Air.
KrazyT Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 Oh, it'll happen, trust me i go every 3-4 weeks... I wouldve gotten on the skyride this time, but it was closed for annual maintenance...
Jumboshrmp Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Wow, you did an INCREDIBLE job getting some great photos that you normally dont ever see. I was hoping that the new wheelcovers were permanent I wasnt a big fan of the themed decals it had before, and I kinda liked the new ones. Oh well. Nice picks of all of the coasters. I'll definitely be sharing this TR with a few friends, awesome photos. I was supposed to go today but my trip go POSTPWNED
KrazyT Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 Thanks, i know i had never seen that angle of Kumba before so i decided to take some unique shots. [as far as i know]
