iZak Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Look in the background of the first picture on the page...Is that Fuji-Q? http://www.formula1.com/race/news/5058/768.html
SharkTums Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 No, It's the now nearly defunct Suzuka Circuit. They had an SLC, a Premier Spaghetti Bowl, and some other rides. Now they've changed the focus of the park to more of a kiddie place while adults go watch the famous car races. Spaghetti Bowl is gone, and we can only hope the SLC leaves soon too!
iZak Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Ah...cool...Thanks! It was just a weird find for me. I go to read the articles for the Japan GP this weekend, and I see a coaster in a pic from last year! Who knew!?
ECZenith Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I always wondered why the place was called "Suzuka Circuit"... Now I know.
thecoasterkid Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 ^ I always knew about the circuit AND the park...just not that the park was that tied in with the circuit. I just assumed that it was a random park located right near the track.
pkdcoaster Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I actually have a F1 racing game for PS2 and they actually included the coasters in the background. I do not think they ever ran the circuit though in the game like Virtua Racing's amusement park did. but that was my favorite track JEFF
SLUSHIE Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 ^ Yeah they have it in GT4, I've always woundered what it was.
