methylene
I thought it was just New Jersey that was sinking. All those landfills are taking their toll. Or was that stinking? Matt
the_rock401
There is no possible way that a coaster could sink. Don't bet on it. Unless the footers were driven/drilled to bedrock, there is always going to be some footing settlement. It will be a different amount depending on the soil type, and most of the time the settlement amounts to less than a tenth of an inch over 30 years, but sometimes that is enough to really screw up some structures, depending on how much tolerance is built into the design. dragsterfan420
im just aking a question. And im not just doing this to hear myself talk, I actually heard this rumor on another forum. And like Paul said it could be sinking if the footers aren't in solid ground. This happened to the Bat at Paramount's King's Island.
