Worm Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Hi, I'm going to make a dive machine of what i hope the new coaster at BGE will look like. I have a problem and that is to make the coaster stop at the top. If i select complete stop at the brake run (picture) for 3 seconds the train falls over the drop and stops halfway for a split second and falls the rest of the drop. The train is coming REAL slow at the brake run so it couldn't be speed. I believe my colors are correct of what i can see from the teaser video. You'll also notice the trains is 4 rows and not 3, but that is to give the train a bigger feel and look more like a dive machine. If someone can please explain me how o fix this or even beter to it for me. (see download) PLEASE someone help me! <-Worm-> First drop. Suppports will come later on Unnamed Dive Machine.zip Please only fix the stop!
Golfie Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I tried working with it, but I can only get it to stop, go, stop, go, stop, drop. Here's a track I made a while ago with a holding mechanism before the drop. My best suggestion is to delete the drop and the hold and rebuild them. Andrew C.
thefitness Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 i tried to play around with it too...no luck try making the break shorter(as in length)
Worm Posted August 16, 2006 Author Posted August 16, 2006 thanx for trying you guys, but i have done it before and even if i use the eact same coater and strat editing, it fails! Here's my previous dive machine: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzone/view.php?file=1879# Go check it out, i'm quite proud of that but has improved a LOT since and learned how to use AHG.
IwantRevenge Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27622 I made this Dive machine a While ago and it inlcudes a working Brake, just follow what I did at the top and it should work nicely. Also I belive that holding brakes do not work in Shuttle mode once you finish it and put it in Continuous it sohuld work.
jamesissoocool Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 yeah it will only work in continuous mode
coasterlover420 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 ^Why would you put a dive machine in shuttle mode? And for the brakes, the only way it will stop correctly is if the next block is occupied.
Worm Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 thanx guy i can't believe i was so stupid! it was in shiuttle mode for testing...
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Yeah i do that to the hold only works in continuous, and the brake's deceleration MUST be set to 2G so it is stroger than the force of gravity. And the Stop go stop go drop thing is because the speed limit is 6 set it to 124 so it wil Grab Stop & Drop. Hope this helps here it is. Unnamed Dive Machine.nltrack
IwantRevenge Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 ^Why would you put a dive machine in shuttle mode?. When your building it, to see previews of the ride in the Sim.
Worm Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 I've decided to put 'Griffon' on hold after the press release to see what the ride will have and make a recreation! Thanx a lot guys!
jmicha Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 It stops for a few seconds on the first hill. Watch the video of the ride on this site and you will see it does indeed have a holding brake on the first drop.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 The thing that looks like a chain IS the holding brake.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 In the ShieKra Video the train stops for 4 seconds.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Why don't you believe what you believe and i'll believe what I believe.
Screamomatic Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Well... This is a crappy fantasy Dive Machine I made, it might give you some ideas... Flashback.nltrack
