I'm gonna be coming to sfne sunday october 8th. I'm from montreal but I'm visiting two six flags parks (sfgadv and sfne) on the 7th and 8th. Anyhow I'll be ariving at the park at opening (which is at 12 pm! ). I have a couple questions.

1) Does my la ronde season pass work at sfne? Do I have to go to guest relations or something? I wana know because I dont wanna wait in a line for no reason.

2) Will I need a flash pass if I wanna hit all the major coasters within 5 hours?

3) What seats would you recommend me to ride in for each coaster to have the best experience possible. (taking into account airtime, speed, comfort etc)

4) In what order would you suggest I ride the coasters to minimize the wait?

5) Are there any good restaurants in the park?

6) How much is a sros ride photo.

7) How's the weather there in october... is it rainy and cold and can I expect SROS to be open?

8) Are there any good flat rides in the park?

Last but not least my brother is scared to ride SROS seeing as someone fell from it in 2004. I told him the ride's restraints were modified but I'm not sure. What exactly changed? Anyone have any pics?

Okay questions i can answer:

La Ronde pass i'm almost posititve won't work.

Modifications to S:RoS: train now cannot leave the station without all restraints being properly secured and seatbelts added.

Park has decent flats.

On the Cyclone I'd advise sitting in the middle of the train if you want to have kids.

But if you could sit in the front car last row and if your lucky you may get a pop of floater air for about 1/2 a second on the brake run.

Or you could *staple* your self into the eat with a tight seatbelt. Hope any of this helps. Oh yeah and get Flash pass standard just in case of "Less than amazing" operations.

GRRR! Why can't you wait until the 9th! I'm going to SFNE for my birthday on the 9th (If partk is open)! lol

Well it can be cold but I wouldn't suspect it to be rainy!

Thunderbolt has some good Airtime, sit in the second to last car, first (Or middle, I can't remember) row.

I've heard either S:ROS or B:TDK lines are empity at park opening, go to those!

Hope this works.

Turn your La Ronde pass over and read the top section titled "where may my season pass be used?" If it lists Six Flags Theme Parks you can use it, if not, I'd bring it anyway because you might get a discount on tickets. Have Fun!

Ok.. Let me try my best...

1) Does my la ronde season pass work at sfne? Do I have to go to guest relations or something? I wana know because I dont wanna wait in a line for no reason.

Yes it should work. I have seen people use LR pass's to get into TGE. And my SFNE pass works at LR. So a LR should work at SFNE (The back of the pass SHOULD say what parks it works at)

Maybe. IF Frightfest is going lines can get VERY long at times. So a flashpass/qbot might be smart. Judge for yourself when you pull into the parking lot.

3) What seats would you recommend me to ride in for each coaster to have the best experience possible. (taking into account airtime, speed, comfort etc)

SROS - Front (the air is much better... -the first drop.. And the view is MUCH nicer...)

Cyclone ride the frontseat of the back car for some crazy air off the lifthill.

Thunderbolt most of the time you cant pick.

FLashback most of the time you cant pick.

MrSix it doesnt matter.

PITT take the back if you want to slide around a lot.

ME.. Doesnt really matter.

BDK most of the time wont let you pick your seat...

Great Chase.. doesnt matter.

4) In what order would you suggest I ride the coasters to minimize the wait?

I would hit up SROS first.. If not go down to Mr Six as it gets a very long SLOW line. (and then you can hit Cyclone and Flashback as both are right next to Mr Six)

5) Are there any good restaurants in the park?

I dont eat big meals at the park. I just get an ice cream and such... Sometimes I eat at the subways.

6) How much is a sros ride photo.

I havent got one in 2 years. But I think its around $8

7) How's the weather there in october... is it rainy and cold and can I expect SROS to be open?

The weather is fun in oct.. it COULD be hot.. Or if your lucky.. It could SNOW! and SROS will be open in whatever. I have been on SROS in the snow (and rain). They will only close it if there is thunder.

The price for the basic photo is 12 dollars for all rides that have photos. The cardboard holders for the photos are crappy though. On S:ROS, sit in the front if you can, the expierence is amazing. On B:TDK, sit in the front for expierence, or the middle if you want to avoif headbanging on the corks. On Mind Eraser, get the front if you can, it's smoother. On Thunderbolt it really dosn't matter, on Cyclone, sit in the last row for insane ejector air. Can't help you on where too sit on the kiddie coasters, and on Mr. Six it doesn't really matter.

I'll add my $.02...

If you have the chance to "choose" which SROS train you're going to ride, take the red one. In my experience, it's a much faster ride. General consensus is that this is due to the fact that the blue train is usually used for single-train ops and thus experiences much more wear and tear.

Thanks... finally can someone give me an order of rides I should do considering I wanna ride SROS, BATMAN, MIND ERASER, Cyclone, Buzzsaw, double trouble, time warp, nightwing, tomahawk, scream and catapult.

I'm llooking for a map but couldnt find it anywhere.

Alright. Here is my opinion.

1. Dunno.

2. Probably not.

3. For Superman, anywhere in the train is pure bliss, but there is the usual difference between the front and back. And for the comment of the red train being faster than the blue, its highly unlikely that there is much of a difference at all. Maybe by less than 1mph difference. And, I would think that the blue train, because it runs more, would be more broken in, and would run faster.

For Batman, I don't know, I didn't ride it, but Its probably going to be similiar throughout the train.

For Mind Eraser, probably the same through most the train, rough everywhere.

For Thunderbolt, I was able to choose the last seat in the train, and there was amazing ejector.

For Cyclone, this is a rough, bumpy, peice of crap. I sat right in the middle of the train, and it was still painful.

For Mr. Six, it doesn't matter at all. ( Though I would definetly say, go single rider if there is a line, even if its just a switchback or 2, it will take forever on this slow loading- though awesome- ride.)

I'm not gonna mention the kiddie rides, there is no point.

4. I went around the park in a traditionally clockwise-motion, starting in Crackaxle Canyon, and heading around. I'm sure the coasters at the far end of the park and Superman won't be too crowded if you hurry. And the day I went, it wasn't that crowded at all, so Superman only had a 30 minute wait- because it broke down.

5. They're all fine, okay food, and pretty pricey.

6. 8 something bucks- what I do- Take a picture of the screen with my digital camera. Bam. 8 bucks saved.

7. Heck, when I went in July, it was cold and wet, and pelted rain that soaked everyone through and flooded the main pathways. They had to close down the Splash boats, even. Bring a jacket.

8. Plenty of good flats. Tomahawk is great, so is the one by Mr. Six, the water rides are all great, its all cool.

And about the restraints, please. The idiot that was thrown off was way too fat to be riding, and his restraints weren't on securely. Trust me when I say that they are the safest things on earth if you don't try to do something stupid and maximize your air. First you put on a seatbelt, which has 2 locks, and then they really strap a t-bar down on your lap, really staple you in, so you are snug, and the seats are bucket so you can't fall out. As long as you don't intentionally try to mess with the restraints to give you wiggle room, you will be perfectly fine. And you are more likely to be killed driving your car there than riding. And btw, If you don't rids this, you are missing out on perhaps the best coaster ever created by mankind.
