So I'm transferring to a place called Arcadia University for this upcoming school year, this going to be my 5th year in college (very long story), and I just got my housing assignment today. I didn't get a tour of the building, but I was able to pop in after the tour on my own time to check this and a couple of other places out. The campus is very small and only has 2 dorms on campus, so upperclassmen get off-campus housing at apartment and condos that the institution owns. So to make a long story short, I am in 1600 Church Road Condominiums with one roommate. 2 bedrooms, a living area, a decked out kitchen and an office space. This is going to be a great year.

So, to prevent this from becoming a dead "who cares" thread, does anyone have any nightmare-ish stories about dorm roommates or just bad dorm stories in general from when they were in college or from years past?

If this thread keeps going, I know I have a bunch.

The living area and kitchen look pretty nice, looks like it shouldn't be too hellish at all! Some of the student accommodation over here is seriously horrific (although I should point out that the majority of it is pretty good, seems to just be the extremes).

My dorm sucked. One room of tiny proportions. Two kids. No closets. I barely managed to survive run-ins with the campus police.

The only really crappy place to live on campus is the first year student dorms. And yes, the costs are a little high, but it is a private school so it shold be expected, though, the costs are a little higher because the accomidations are just sick.

It's going to cost me $6,680 for the year, and then another $2,600 for the meal plan.

My form room wasn't actually that bad. They were the largest on campus excepting the family housing apartments. It wasn't terrible, which is the only part about my college which wasn't!

During my last semester on campus, I had a roommate who screamed in her sleep. Yeah, *that* was fun

I transferred to Butler University in Indianapolis and can't wait to move into my brand spanking new apartment on the 15th.

As for bad stories, the guys next door to me my freshman year at IU were probably the worst pairing ever. One was a gay and obsessed with Broadway while the roommate was a homophobic jock. Talk about awkward.

My first year we had a suitemate that didn't throw his trash out. He had pizza boxes to the ceiling, dirty laundry everywhere and garbage oveflowing into the hall. He'd disappear for days and his homies would randomly come in and hang in his room while he was gone(he left his door unlocked all the time). That was creepy.

Second year we had a guy that was way unbalanced. He'd get mad and start yelling and hitting himself with stuff. That was weird.

My college roommate wasn't bad at all. Heck, her senior year she was only there like 2 days a week! The only problem I had was the fridge was too full with Polly-O Ricotta Cheese that I couldn't stock up on beer. She cooked good stuff too, occasionally.
