iamfeelingfatANDsassy Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Hey everyone! This I've been a member for a while, but havent posted yet, and I figured my trip to PGA yesterday would be a good way to start. So we got to the part at about 10:45, and got through the metal detectors, and headed straight for the carousel. My friends wanted to ride the bottom so they could ride the "exotic" animals, but were dissapointed to find the ostriches and pigs already occupied. We got off and started heading for Invertigo. On the way we stopped off at White Water Falls: walk on, great ride. Then it was off to Invertigo. We had about a 20 minute wait (longest wait of the day) for the last/second to last car. It was a great ride. I personally don't find this ride rough, but it is very forceful. I grey out everytime I ride, but only when I am facing forward. Next up was Drop Zone. Ten minute wait, great ride. My group of three ended up sitting next to a girl who had never rode before. My friend asked her if she needed me to hold her hand, and she said she a boy friend, then i told her I was gay and all was good. Over all great ride. Next we walked over to Centrifuge for a walk on ride. Very fun, love the laterals. We then headed over to Psycho Mouse for a 15 minute wait, a pretty good ride, and one REALLY awesome onride photo. next we went over to Logger's Run. It was my friend's first time on the ride, which resulted in an amzing on ride photo, just not as good as Psycho Mouse. Next was Delirium, 10 minute wait, great ride, and amazingly enough, GREAT ride ops!! They were very efficient and KIND! Who knew that happened at PGA?! Anywho, we headed off to Rip Roaring Rapids which was a 15-20 minute wait. We got soaked, and sat next to some cute boys We stopped for lunch at the American Grill, and I (being the only "enthusiast" in the group) made sure we got a seat right next to where the old Greased Lightnin' entrance was. I wish I had liked rollercoasters when this was still around. Next we headed off to Top Gun for a ten minute wait for the back row. GREAT ride! I love this ride no matter how many times I ride it. I noticed the new video system installed, does any one know where these are available for purchase? Finally we went back around the park to Demon, (we realized we had missed it earlier) and had a walk on, ok, ride. It wasnt too rough, and the waterfall was working unlike last week when I was there. The only REALLY rought spot for me is right after the second corkscrew, I think its just a bad transition. Over all we had a great day, and we were all surprised how kind and courteous all of the staff were that day. Hopefully things will stay this way the rest of the summer!
Calvin Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 That's great! I hope things look up for the park and Cedar Fair doesn't ruin it. ARE YOU LISTENING CEDAR FAIR? Centrifuge is fun, isn't it?
Bush985 Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Glad to hear that you had a good experience. The park was pretty dead yesterday, which made for a good day. I was pretty bored too, but hey, that comes with the job. Hope you had the "Best Day Ever!" -RD
CP_RULES Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Sounds like you had a good time, but why no ride on Vortex?
iamfeelingfatANDsassy Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Oh, I forgot to say, Vortex and Survivor were closed. I saw them testing Vortex a few times and when we rode Eagles Flight/Delta Flyer I saw them working on the train with the pruple restraints....
Rollerholden Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Oh, I forgot to say, Vortex and Survivor were closed.... That's pretty lame. Their new ride being closed all day? That would tick me off. I haven't been there since they still had GL and Stealth. Glad you had a fun day with short lines!
man Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 lol I almost went yesterday went today instead though. Vortex and Survivor were still closed
Domm Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 hey! i was there that day too. finally used my free ticket after my 8th vip visit. i've been going after 6 week nights lately. the lines are perfect at that time. that was the one day that i finally told myself id do survivor but yup it was still closed. why'd you skip grizzly? i dont think its a great ride but do it everytime anyway cause its a walk on. they gotta get orleans orbit up and running again. it would make the visits a lot better.
