Satoshi Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 7:45 p.m. eejanaika got stuck when hitting on the last brake. looks no one hurt then since the brake was gonna totally work. 18 guys on the ride wanted to get off and some ops let them get outta ride in 20 mins. when they got jammed in that happening some ops have got to hear some strange sound in the brake so they gonna get it closed down for a while. i dunno when it reopens at all. oh my goodness! what's fuji q doing?
trustkill22 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Why are you freaking out? It doesn't sound that bad, With the way you described it it just sounded like it was stuck at the last brake run into the station. Its not like it valleyed or anything like its friend X.
okinawaboy11 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 ^ True, its just a brake problem. It happens all the time. I have no clue how many time's i've been stuck on brake runs. It's nothing new really.
RCoasterny Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Oh noes! Does that meen theire goin to close it like Steel Dragon?
ECZenith Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 A train stopping in the brakes usually happens when the trains get stacked or a sensor is missed. Of course no one was hurt! Eej did what it was supposed to.
stormrider Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I wouldn't be worried. Sheikra is still running even though the top brakes at 200ft up stopped the train. This is not nearly as "scary" for them.
okinawaboy11 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Question. If X or EJ stop mid course or on the brake run and the train is in the middle of a rotation. Do the seats level out so your not in an awkard position?
Thrillrider15 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 ^ I would guess so. I wouldn't doubt they have manual controls for that.
olimonn Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Question. If X or EJ stop mid course or on the brake run and the train is in the middle of a rotation. Do the seats level out so your not in an awkard position? on 99.99% of the cases of midcourse stopping, are valleying cases, meaning that the train goes DOWN and oscillates until it stops. And because of the Gs on a normal operation, on "possible valleying places" (read dips), the track is designed in a way that the train is more or less in a sitting position. So no need to rotate trains in case of stalling. Anyway I'm not sure it would be doable, since the rotation of the seats is a mechanical process and not an electrnical process and only depends on the position of the auxiliar track relatively to normal ride track...
stormrider Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Ah, I see, so they probably account for this during designing. I guess that means no flips at the bottom then (although it would be painful if they did that)
haux Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 "Getting stuck" and "stopping" are two entirely different things. Getting stuck implies that it's not budging. Stopping can happen in brakes and lift hills. It's not a big deal. It happens to every ride.
