Nosferatu Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Hello I’m going to the Us for the first time in a few weeks, and I have a few questions How far is it from Mt. Olympus to Timber Falls Adventure park? If I have understood it right it is walking distance? Is both parks doable in one day? In LA we are staying at a hotel in Anaheim, and while the rest of the family is going to Disneyland I realy want to go to magic mountain. So how far is it? How is public transportation? I propably don’t have a car.
phazan Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Well Magic Mountain is pretty close to Anaheim. But with traffic, it could take about an hour and a half I *think*. So you should be able to do that. As for transportation, I am not sure, it is defidently too far for walking!
benzo41190 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Mt Olympus to Timber Falls is in walking distance, but it would take too long. Your best bet is just to drive there and back. And you can easily do both parks in a day. But it also depends on if you like water park stuff. Even on a Saturday the parks aren't that crowded. You might have like a 20-30 min wait on Hades during the middle of the day, but that's the longest wait you will have to deal with. All the other rides will have like 0-5 min waits at the most. But watch out for Pegasus, that wait can sometimes get as long as Hades. Its not because of the people in line, its because the Op takes SO LONG to dispatch! And for Timber Falls, usually Avalanche is just a train wait or two at the most. Avalanche really deserves at least 5 rides or more. So buy a wrist band pass (which goes down a few dollars at night). Also don't miss the log flume, it is pretty cool. If you want some POVs to look at, I uploaded some here http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26542
SharkTums Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Yeah, Disneyland is 65 miles from SFMM. We've discussed this to death, it is nearly impossible to get between the two on public transportation. As for walking between Timber Falls and Mt. Olympus, yeah...don't do it! It's farther than it looks.
What Now Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 http://www.metrolinktrains.com/ You bored the train at the Anaheim Station. Transfer at LA Union Station. Get on Antalope Valley line. Get off at the Santa Clarita station. From there, ride the bus to SFMM.

I think its strange that Six Flags don't write on their website how to get to the park with public transportation Anyways thanks a lot. I'm going on the 23rd and the 24th of july, so I guess the ques will be pretty long. again thanks a lot!
Golfie Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Mt. Olympus and Timber Falls are a little farther than walking distance... however, they're both in the Dells, so you should be able to do both in one day.
