For the record, I thought The Smurfs, The Muppets, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and even Star Wars for that matter, were supposed to be "dead" too when I retired those toys to my closet three decades ago. Also, did Universal junk the old "Ectomobile"? Just curious, so we can discuss that when a new Ghostbusters film rolls out. Nothing is dead as long as money exists.

Potterburg is to IOA as the US bailout money was to GM. Oh sure, it sustained them, but has their overall product improved? To me....no. Granted, I'm not a Potter fan, but beyond that, the rest of the place is just feeling "tired" these days. Compare that to the other major players in the region, and I see plenty of refreshing changes and improvements happening. There's the difference.

I'll just echo the last three posts. Actually, this sums it up: Even though I may disagree with some of Disney's moves over the years, at least there's still plenty at each park that gives me that "comfortable, feels like old times" vibe. It's become clear to me over the last five years or so that IOA will always just be a "bottom line" park with no real "feel" to it anymore.

Saban's a tool. Period. The best way to start reforming the college game would be to put a muzzle on every coach when they're away from the sidelines.

Sheesh, did a video game come to life or something?

Fair enough.

As much as it sickens me, it's honestly brilliant! There are 7 books worth of material, so I would have to imagine there is plenty of locations that could be worked with. Imagine in the Star Wars universe if one park had Hoth, and the other park had Bespin, and you took a landspeeder to get from area to area. Think about it at Universal. Once you enter the WWOHP at IOA, you can spend the time in there, do all the attractions, etc, then board the train, let's say where the old SInbad theater is now, and that train takes you to the other park, where it drops you off to other location from the Potterverse. (Of course in order to get into that Potterverse, you'll need a two-park, park hopper!) If done right, you could EASILY spend a day only visiting the Potter lands in both parks, and then still have the rest of the parks to explore on another day. It sickens me too, but this is EXACTLY the kind of thinking I'd like to see a place as large as Universal start doing. Even being Harry Potter, the idea of integrating a transportation ride into the connection of two "lands" is the type of thing that would grab my attention, and maybe even warrant another visit. Throw in the Hogwarts Express (that is the name of the train, right?), using technology similar to the Ocean Park Funnicular, and you actually have a winner. It won't happen though.

^ So, you, um, passed someone? That's basically all you're saying, right? What? Where's the emoticon for throwing up? I'm always glad when someone really loves their car, but c'mon man. You gonna start quoting "Twilight" next?
