  1. Nope, he did not put one in for himself. I have to say if there ever was a single person on this planet with the skill, passion and knowledge about games and theme parks Robb would be it. If I was Atari I would be offering him mega dollars to bring his ideas into what the the next RCT game should be. It would be worth every cent!
  2. Cannonball Run looks to be another winner for the park. It really is a shame to have such limited track pieces in this game. Those runs over the water would look so much better if they didn't have to be so choppy. Oh well, it is just the way it is.
  3. That was the "NEW" ride for 1993. I spent all that money on a season pass last fall and this is what I get a stupid swinging ship. I am never coming back to this park again! But really, your buildings while still lacking a bit are much better than before. Glad to see your improving. You are really starting to get some great angles on them, now if we can talk you into getting away from full size blocks... How are the guest moving around the park, any problems yet? Remember, hidden tunnels are a guests best friend.
  4. I agree with ^. If a park has everything you want/need to build your own park there is nothing wrong with using it as the the base for a park you want to build. As for the Rapids Ride, I think it is the best ride in the park at the moment. Also wanted to send out a huge WELCOME to TPR and give you a heads up about posting here. I highly suggest you read the GAME FORUM ETIQUETTE topic before you post again. I would hate to see your topic shut right after you started it.
  5. Sad and pathetic, I don't think so. Here is your gift, it is a blank landscape about 100x100 in size, 4 entrances and completely exit pathed so you should never have problems getting guests off the map. It includes almost all the major coasters, rides and stalls that were part of the original game. In other words there is NO custom content and no WW/TT items used. At anytime you can load this saved game back into the editor and remove and add any content you want. The only thing you will lose is the parks objective. I have it set to "HAVE FUN". The only way to get it back to that is to use the TRG trainer. There is no money in the park and all the guests have average stats. So if you build something big or small the guests will ride it. Like I said before the park has four entrances all of which are in line with each other so if you build a path from one to the next you will always be able to find the very center of the map. When you open it up for the first time the center is marked with an "X". With this map you should be able to build just about anything of any size. So have fun and please share with us all what you come up with. Coaster Dioramas Park.SV6 Just for fun and to show you the kind of coaster diorama thing I was talking about I made one. This is a diorama of Heartline Twister coasters. Sounds boring right? Well when you see them I don't think you will find them boring. In this little diorama you will find two racing Heartline Twisters, one backwards and one forwards. Four other attractions were added to the scene along with stalls, park staff and a complete Medieval theme. No trainers where used while building this park with one exception, I put block brakes on the coasters. Had to use 8cars for that. I don't like it when they have brake failure and kill my guests. With block brakes that never happens. Anyway take a look if you wish, it is just simple OLD SCHOOL RCT2 at it's best. I am not saying your dioramas need to be this extravagant, I just wanted you to see how they can be if you choose to put some time into it. It took me about 7 game years to make this so that is about 7 hours total work. The only picture I am going to show of it is this shot from a distance. Just wanted you to see how big (or small) the diorama is. If you want you can take some pictures of it and post them, I just didn't feel comfortable posting pictures of something I made in your topic. Heartline Twister Diorama.SV6
  6. I am working on a little present for you to build and theme your coasters with. I will have it done later today.
  7. This game crash when trying to open or test a racing/dueling coaster is something I have experienced also. For me it seem to a totally random event. All I can say is make sure you SAVE your game before testing or starting for the first time any ride that has Synchronise with adjacent stations checked. It has been a while since I built any racing/dueling rides in a park so I really forget what I do to try to avoid the crash issue. I do remember pausing the game and putting them on test and then unpausing so they leave for the first time, I also remember just getting one started and then the other and while testing checking the box so when the next train(s) leave they start the synchronisation at that point. Honestly I can't remember what worked best. So keep trying different ways to start them out and see what works the best. No matter what you do, ALWAYS save before you start one of these types and save again if your going to go back and work on them after they have been open. Even if you haven't had any problems for many game years. It is a glitch that can happen at any time.
  8. ^ Just go back to your very first post and hit edit. At the top you will be able to update your topics title and sub-caption.
  9. Take the two files and manually copy and paste them into your RCT2 ObjData folder. Start the game and let it do it's checking. Once done load the park, no doubt it will once again do a checking sequence from more new items. When finished the park should open. The path to the ObjData folder is... Computer..> Local Disk(_)*..> Program Files..> Infogrames Interactive**..> RCT2..> ObjData * fill in the blank with the drive you have RCT2 installed on. ** if you have the Triple Trill Pack it will be Atari instead of Infogrames.
  10. Like the first drop on the coaster, how deceptively fun, I also like the simple scenery around the Enterprise ride, however I think it needs to be turned so that it lifts toward the path.
  11. The coaster is GREAT, the scenery and your double post to get attention is not. Take some time and learn how to use the games scenery and your coasters will really stand out as something to always be proud of. I think you should go build yourself a 100x100 map with nothing but scenery items in it from the origanl RCT game and then put in as many coaster types and a few flat rides and food stalls and start building stand alone dioramas with your coaster designs as the focus. Open them up and let the guests in to enjoy the ride(s) and when your done post the small park for everyone to download and take your new coaster(s) for a ride. BTW, if you do what I suggested don't get discouraged about the words "Not Downloaded Yet" at the top of your attachments, ever since the "NEW" TPR site was unveiled all those many months ago the counters for downloads has not worked.
  12. Building to spite someone is always a good idea, and in this case definitely. It looks GREAT! Love the flag on top!
  13. ^ Short, simple and perfect, as for the wooden coaster looks like a good ride but I'll have to wait until I see what you do with before I make my final decision about it.
  14. A little taller than I was talking about but it works and looks very nice. You need to get rid of those white glitches before they ruin your parks clean look.
  15. Viper looks about perfect and as for the Arrow (Drachen Fire-ish) supports they look to be about perfect also! What an improvement over the lattice, makes one wonder why they (Arrow) ever went back to it?
  16. Sorry Coupon, not meant to be dick-ish with this comment but ^ hit a nerve, SFW had a chance at something big also. I do hope you find the power cord or are able to get a replacement, your new park was looking as good as your last one and given some time and patience will be something big and exciting to follow.
  17. ^ Why so harsh? Here are your supports, I thought these might be what you were after just didn't want to assume. The first item (SUPPS) is the scenery tab for DATs 1-6 (ZIP file). Enjoy! SUPPS.DAT SUPPS1-6.zip
  18. If you raise up the blocks on the roof one more section at the bottom the problem will go away. Just for fun why not put in a small gap between the walls and the roof supported by some poles so you can even see in better and also get it raised up a bit.
  19. Yea, still need these items, thanks to anyone who took the five minutes it takes to do a search of your ObjData folder even if you came up with nothing, I do appreciate it. Thanks SPEEDIE for finding the ones you did, unfortunately to get the last two parks open I need the others also. Here are your items Rezar, the object AP Brick is really AP Brick Path and is an invalid item. It should still function in the game but will not work with the DatChecker so I can not get a picture of it. Sorry. AP Brick Path.DAT 1KLIMSU2.DAT 1KMTRUIN.DAT 1KSUD14.DAT BRTDRP1.DAT Myself, here is what I could find... I probably have the other items you want but I am not really sure what I am looking for. TUMBLE01.DAT TUMBLE02.DAT REEB.DAT
  20. ... sorry, can't get the files to load on to TPR, will try again in a bit.
  21. Haven't forgotten about you SPEEDIE, still working on it. Don't understand why you couldn't get the Restricted Area park to open, did you install the custom rides?
  22. Inverted mouse looks great. Just a question about the Monster wood coaster, In the picture it looks like it might be a racer/dueler but I really can't tell. Is it one or was that just a lucky picture catching two trains on very similar hills in just about the same location. It also kind of looks like one is heading out and one is heading in or one is running backwards? I can't figure it out.
  23. You have a great story going on with this one, also really like the look of the wooden coaster, but I think the six seater trains would be a better fit to the time and type of coaster it looks like it's trying to be with the unbanked turns and such. Everything looks good and fits together nicely.
  24. Happy to see "The new Castaway" is still using the Pirate Barrels. One little gripe,I think those flames would look better placed at the bottom of the tunnel next to the track.
