As shapiro once said Rome wasnt built in a day we really need to give six flags time to get the ball rolling with sfmm when it does you all will be surprised with the metro slated for a fall reopening mind you i have not a clue who they are going to contract to make the parts it needs to run. With the new x trains already on site but hidden from view are just the steps they should be taking to get this flagship park of the company back in the swing of things

Well i guess you guys have no idea how much power it takes to launch it up there. Its so much power edison had to make a grid for it there is a direct feed to the industrial center and under the past owners it would have been a huge power bill . I think once its repainted they are going to try to make it go the full 100mph its running like at 82 now

THATS IT ! im moving to england -
Hey all this will be my first official trip report here well i was sitting around the house bored out of my mind lol so i got my bike out and went for a ride. Just so you all know the city is slowly making it easier for bike riders to go to sfmm. I got to the park at 12:45 and the park was really dead as in hardly anyone there first credit was good old revolution 2nd row it was a walk on i know you all think it is a killer on the neck and ears but if you sit up straight you should be ok. Next up was tatsu again another 2nd row ride a 25 min wait they had station 1 closed off for ert or something i"m not sure yet. i did riddler 2nd row single rider line which was a 5min wait it was alot smoother today i guess they sandblasted the bumps out or added fresh wheels all and all a great ride. I headed over to deja vu mind you it had broken down when i got there i headed up the single rider line and they had just started getting it going again and as luck would have it i got the front row wingman seat i barely had time to secure my glasses but it ran really fast and it was alot smoother . Next on my list was my baby goliath this is my ride i rode it 58 times on its media day and i stll love it they only ran one train but they made up for it with fast loading times i can never get enough of this beast but its always givin me the ride of my life. I headed home the long way past the town center and hit the bike paths all the way home about a hr ride and my feet are still killing me lol next time i take the bike ill remember my gel pads lol. To be honest i love going on days like this multiple rides on the popular coasters and seeing old friends who still work there I hope to post more trips over the summer please give me your opinion on my first one "thanks and see you at the park"

SFMM TR for 04/21/07
coasterjunkie91350 replied to Jhcbiinoc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh no, I haven't given up at all.....if my friends had not wanted to leave, I would have been fine with staying to close, and I feel sure that I will be returning many more times over the summer. I can see and understand and accept that point of view.....I do agree that they should be trying to fill as many seats as possible. The point that I was making, and one of the reasons my friend got so upset was that this had never happened in the past. I had one instance a month or two ago back shortly after X reopened, where a different grouper on the stairs side first assigned me to sit on back row/outside. I politely asked, "Could I please get a seat closer to the front of the train if at all possible? I don't mind waiting a few minutes extra." I would have been fine with rows two, three or four, but I stood aside, he let a few more people and then told me I could go ahead to the first row. So a lot of the upset was because it was unexpected, he was already frustrated with the crowds, and he felt as if the employee was a bit rude about it and even more upset that the two girls got to go where they wanted. I wanted the front too, but I was just happy the ride was open and to be able to ride and get on so fast with that crowd there, and I am not generally one to complain as much. Besides, I think the crew since X has reopened is doing a fantastic job of making it work as efficiently as possible. Very much so, at least IMHO. The back row of Tatsu, especially at night, is one of the most forceful rides I have taken on a coaster. You are practically hurled through all of the elements and I cannot even think of words to describe the Pretzel Loop, yet the whole experience is smooth as glass. IMHO, any seat on Tatsu will give a great ride, but the very front and the very back are unique experiences. I agree with that.....actually, I agree with both sides on the issue to some point; I see why they do assigned rows and why it's necessary (moving the line), but not everyone does ask for the front or back or a specific seat and it shouldn't be that much of an issue. I can guarantee you, if the operator had politely said to us, "I'm sorry, but due to how busy it is we are not allowing any preferred seating today", rather than "no", and had he not allowed anyone in front of us an alternative, then my friend would not have gotten nearly as upset as he did and would have been a lot more understanding. His comment to me as we were going up the lift was that in customer service, you never tell a customer "No", but you either offer an alternative, you explain why the policy is in place and you are unable to meet their request, or you do what you can (within reason) to make the customer happy. And if you have a policy, don't be selective about enforcing it-it should be consistent for everyone. Hey i will most likely be spending the morning and early afternoon of my birthday there so we should tear it up -
SFMM TR for 04/21/07
coasterjunkie91350 replied to Jhcbiinoc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think alot of psa crews are short staffed that area by the main gate is part of area 1 in which i use to work they should have had a psa person out there . as for ops they are putting too many rude high school kids to operate key rides and frankly it should not be that way and sadly im sorry for how your friend was treated but im glad you guys went and had a good time don't give up on the park yet they are just getting the kinks out -

Blame it on who they use to staff it "The Japanese" when will they learn non english speaking employees have no place operating a major ride like tatsu.
