  1. Honestly the game that I have played the most on any system would have to be Monster Hunter. I don't know how many of you have even looked at this because it wasn't advertised much and the review scores were pretty abysmal. It really is a very unique game though as it puts you up against some amazingly powerful beasts in the game and you are actually pushed to beat them often. Instead of most games where you can rely on levels to boost your stats you have to rely on your wits and you equipment. Monster Hunter has kept me busy for a good 72 hours now and with all the online action I have yet to do I will probably see at least double that out of it. Take a look at the videos on Gametrailers.com it is an absolute blast that can be played for 30 minutes or a couple of hours a night.Pimping Mode> I highly suggest anyone interested takes a look around as it can be found at some stores for $20 and others for $30 but it is disappearing quickly and unlikely to get another printing. Oh yeah I love my PS2 and GC. My PS2 currently has over 90 games (most purchased for well under $50).
  2. I really don't know what people are having trouble with on RCT3... Although honestly most of the problems seem to come from a combination of Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU. Take that as you will. The only problem I had was the first install failed to properly pull one file off the disc so I had to re-install and then it worked.
  3. I'm surprised you guys weren't bashing it on the ride... I mean seriously that ride looks about as exciting as some of the restrooms you guys hit in europe... Honestly though I have always had problems with the videos. I don't really know why but they are just incredibly loud in quicktime and all the other programs I use. Maybe you could try a different codec or something sometime.
  4. Wow that is a really small ride... Hmm wish you could put diagonal corkscrews in RCT3... That is one of the few things I wish were in it.
  5. Angry Gumball it is using software rendering to create the movies. That creates the best quality but it does slow it down a lot. I personally don't mind it really. I've never used that FRAPS program you talk about.
  6. I love the game... It has some serious performance issues at times but it is a blast to be able to build real mountains and such to run your rides around is just so much fun. I created a 300ft tall B&M dive machine with insane curves around a massive mountain. The thing that is really fun IMHO is you can create little coaster videos with this and distribute them. I've seen some absolutely amazing jobs of themeing. I think honestly this is as close as most of us will ever get to our own amusement parks.
  7. Notice the second pic has a disko (I think thats right) and the suspended coaster has an elevator style lift. Also IGN has pics of a new wide raft ride with descending curves, an intamin half pipe, a skycoaster, chance aviator, chance chaos, the famous titanic slide (oh which park was it robb...), and what kinda looks like fabbri boosters (dunno if those are copied from someone else or not)...
  8. I would love to meet some peeps if anyone is crazy enough to want to come to CO. I know that they are credit whores but even I don't know if I would ride some of these if they weren't the only nearby parks. Of course we do have one of the top waterparks.
  9. I know there are plenty of other programs that will do that... I mean why would you post postage stamp sized bitmaps online... Just giving you a hard time but seriously... bitmaps online?
  10. Mr. Six you obviously don't understand the occasionally dry British humor. Honestly the funny stuff was between the crudeness and horror. Ah what a great movie I really need to get it.
  11. The img tags didn't work because you are using bmps... Ugh those things are evil. You know those are uncompressed right? If you just compressed them to jpg's you would be able to easily quadruple the size with a smaller file size.
  12. Six Flags Elitch Gardens... Yeah pity me... Still Half Pipe is pretty cool. I'm not really sure where I fall on that list I guess western.
  13. Shaun of the Dead has been out for quite a while on DVD. It was a very limited release in theaters. Go check it out.
  14. Rob I thought you did that last night with the naked obese websurfer picture... Yeeah...
  15. Jonathan I think I remember seeing that paint can in the tunnel as I was there last summer. On the day when there was just that absolutely huge rainstorm. What a great day to go... 2 hour lines for almost everything and then it all gets shut down because of the rain. Still at least I got on Nemesis Inferno and Collosus which was my goal. Actually I got about 3 rides on Nemesis because the singles line was incredibly good.
  16. Wait wait... Jonathan you put Nemesis Inferno ahead of Nemesis?!!!(or did you forget Nemesis?) Are you nuts!! Nemesis Inferno was pretty decent but Nemesis actually throws you around and has some incredibly speedy moments. Collosus though was pretty damn cool. I was impressed by the track layout although I am more of an airtime person it was pretty amazing that there was only like 1 bunny hill and two curves on it the rest was all inversions.
  17. Oh man I saw Shaun of the Dead last summer on an airplane ride to england. I didn't love it as much then possibly because I was trying to eat airplane food while watching a zombie movie... When I saw it in the theaters in the fall it was great. With the audience it was hard not to have a good laugh at all the silliness. Honestly though my favorite parts are probably early in the movie as he is completely unaware of everything going on around him.
  18. You can set it to time lapse and watch as the day flys by.
  19. Honestly there are all sorts of things I am excited by... An other option would be nice. I think Barnstormer will be interesting as the lift chain drags you through what is basically an inversion. Screaming Squirrel is finally getting installed this year. There are some new mixes on the intamin rockets. There is the rumor that S&S is preping a next gen X. Honestly about the only company I'm not really excited by is B&M. They really haven't pushed anything recently and their rides seem to keep getting more and more tame. Honestly I could probably sleep on some of them. Ok yeah so the B&M comment may have more to do with the more traditional rides. I think Sheikra could be cool. I thought Oblivion was pretty cool but over too quickly. I do miss the intense B&M's though. Rides like the original Nemesis are just that little bit more intense than current ones seem to be.
  20. Robb why did you have to say something like that... Those sort of rides are about all I can ever hope for at a park like Six Flags Elitch Gardens... All they ever put in is those standard small dinky things that no one really gets excited about. Now this year they are putting in a ride in the water park that is exactly the same as what has been at WaterWorld since like 1999. I wish SixFlags would splurge on a new custom ride for us but I don't think it is gonna happen. Hell I would be exstatic for a X-Car which would fit perfectly in the small footprints of the park.
  21. Where did you get some of that stuff from though? I have never seen that thing that looks like the whip or the little frog hop type thing.
  22. Actually I remember another time which was similar. One time when I went to Six Flags Over Texas we were going to go on Shockwave and watched as the lift slowed incredibly and stalled on multiple occasions while we were in line. I remember how slow that climb to the top was thinking it was definitely going to die and they were gonna have to get us out. Finally after what seemed like an eternity we went over the top and ran the course. Then I looked back and the people that got in the train after us were stalled on the lift...
  23. I love all the disclaimers saying that you shouldn't do anything with it... I especially liked the bit where it says that you shouldn't pull down the restraints as they may not be possible to release. Can you imagine that...
  24. None of that is from time twisters. I believe some of that is the Amazing Earl's creation some of them I really have never seen. That small bumper cars thing I have never seen before.
  25. I don't know about everyone else but being first on is kinda a weird feeling to me. So have you ever experienced it and on what ride. If you know anything about the breakdown that would be kinda fun too. (BTW this is more of an excuse to play with the POLL I am sure everyone has had this experience at least once.) Personally my most recent experience was early last summer when I went to Elitches to try out the Half Pipe. Well it was down about half the day and then they said it was getting close so they would allow people to line up. Well we waited about 45 minutes and were the first on. That was a very interesting ride because it is very possible to be accelerated sideways to start and rotating at the top while getting airtime is pretty cool. Still I can't tell you how sick I was feeling watching the thing run up and down with the poles swaying and them having trouble releasing the restraints at times.
