  1. lol... Well, I always thought I would get out there some day and ride it for the sake of riding it...but now...
  2. I happen to enjoy the insane stops certain coasters provide. It just gives the ride a wham bang kick your ass finish that just knocks the wind out of you for a second. A good ending for the pastime that is the 'roller coaster'. Sharper the stop, the better.
  3. APOCALYPSE!!!! Well, if you have a helicopter, you'll be able to avoid any sort of apocalypse-type activities, since they are capable of flying from Denver to Houston in under three seconds. Dave "just one of the many things I learned from watching 10.5 Apocalypse last week" Thomas Haha...yeah, I caught that too. It's been proven fact, I hear, from the big administration to the east.
  4. With Miracle Strip gone, it could definately work. Think how many folks hit the Panama City beaches during spring break even. I'm wondering though, could we get a coaster out of this? One that is not a ready made boomerang or something similar... Check the links for more info. http://www.wtvynews4.com/news/headlines/2908891.html
  5. Just got off of Goliath on Tuesday at SFOG. Massive insane airtime!!!
  6. A new Holmes County wildlife park is going to be almost three times the size of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and more than 30 times bigger than the zoo in Montgomery, but importantly pump millions of dollars into the areas economy. The new wildlife park will be located just south of I-10 near Highway 79; part of it will be located it Holms County, the other part will be located in Washington County. The park will be built by the Fowler Center for Wildlife Education. It will be called "Jim Fowler's life in the wild theme park," after one of the world's most renowned naturalists. The park will be the first of a series of similar parks that are set for construction across the country. Construction of the new wildlife park is slated to begin in 2008. Jim Fowler (born April 9, 1932 in Albany, Georgia) is a professional zoologist and was host of the Emmy Award-winning television show Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Fowler first served as the co-host of Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins, and then later became the main host. While Fowler was serving as host of Wild Kingdom, he received four separate Emmy awards and an endorsement by the National PTA for family viewing. Fowler was the official wildlife correspondent for NBC's The Today Show since 1988 and also regularly seen on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, making forty appearances in total as he brought various wildlife animals on the show. In 1997, Fowler joined Discovery Communication's Animal Planet as a wildlife expert and later launched the television program Jim Fowler's Life in the Wild in 2000. Fowler also made a cameo appearance in The Merv Griffin Show episode of the Seinfeld comedy television series (season 9, episode 6), playing himself as "The animal guy from Wild Kingdom". Think we will get any coasters out of this in the long run? Check the links for more info. http://www.wtvynews4.com/news/headlines/2908891.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Fowler
  7. So...I was wondering, concerning both Millennium Force and Dragster(I have yet to ride them, but I have a trip planned in August to the point)...is it advisable to ride them hands up? Wouldn't the speed be too much? I've only ridden everything in Florida and 'that park in Valdosta GA', and believe me, my hands were as free as could be. Never having ridden any coaster above 200 feet as far as I can remember, so I'm just worried my limbs might rip from their sockets from the sheer speeds of those rides. Please tell me I can throw these money grabbers of mine up in the air for those rides because I sure as hell want to. : ) For the record...this is my first post, and I prefer riding with my hands up. Hans
