You know this is really so simple. Park/ride restrictions = the park doesn't want you to f****** die!

Seriously this is the worst news to wake up to! That poor kid riding with his mother! This makes me want to cry. It really doesn't matter who or what was at fault (although it should still be addressed) a child just watched his mother die and that is heart breaking!

You know what's funny is just a few weeks ago my boyfriend and I were talking about Courage The Cowardly Dog and saying that we thought it would make a great dark ride! I guess a water slide is cool too though! Honestly though this looks really awesome!

Whatever Holiday World does it will be awesome! I doubt we will see a coaster in 2014 though no ground work or markings at this point make it unlikely. Maybe 2015?

God I cannot wait for a announcement on this ride! Do we have any idea when that might actually be?

^ I'm really happy to hear SDC put cubbies in the station! I felt the outside lockers just weren't working! Every other ride uses cubbies so it confused people. Also it's expected with SDC service and I'm happy they're sticking to it!

^ Right I feel the same way. You know I really wish we could plan like a gay coaster TPR event! I guess it doesn't have to be TPR per say but some type of a official gay coaster enthusiasts event would be awesome!

You know I think they're right. It's not that Vekoma wasn't willing but just that nobody asked. I also agree they are a budget company. I also look at this way when it comes to hyper coasters that is a market that is highly oversaturated. The only thing I regret Vekoma not doing is building more tilt coasters! They should have pushed that ride much much harder in the US! Honestly that ride could have become their hypercoaster! Imagine that with a 200 or 250 foot drop and then a ton of airtime hills! It would have been sick! In the end however it's about profit and what parks want to buy! Unfortunately it seems parks only want to buy boomerangs. Oh well.

So recently I've made a observation about coaster enthusiast and the bear community. Nearly every event I attend I realize most of the many gay attendees are bears! Honestly roving groups of bears walking around and riding rides being all adorable and such! Am I the only one to notice this? Also why bears more than other gay groups? I personally love it though! They're the nicest and least bitchy! Either way being a coaster enthusiast is very gay! And by gay I mean we all are! When I was young I would dream about meeting another enthusiast and falling in love! Also dreamed of large groups of hot enthusiast in a hot tub after a long day at a park but that's a completely different thing LoL Either way I did find myself a amazing man and while he isn't a enthusiast he still rides with me and I love every second of it! Now don't get me wrong I still dream of hot tubs but ehh who wouldn't!? LoL

Ill be there on the 12th of July. My first visit and I'm really looking forward to it! I really hope this park can make it!. Seriously what would it take for people to start going again?

This is really some great news. Kentucky Kingdom could end up being a really amazing park. Fact is it just takes time to get everything up and running! Lets just hope this new roller coaster is awesome! Intamin Please! Either way open park is always better than a closed park!

well my favorite part is Silver Dollar City. so I guess that means my favorite is the chain part. However all of my other favorite parks are independent.

Next time I'm out that way I plan to ask around and find out whats up. If it is someone restoring it I plan to ask if they mind that I document it. It could be a fun series which might also end in a credit for me!

No the ride was in an open field so I could walk right up to it. Still seems a odd location in the middle of nowhere. I'll keep an eye on it to see if anything happens.

That is what I was thinking. It can't of been there long with the mowed field. I assume they plan to restore it however that would be a lot of work. Who knows. I wish I knew the owner cause I would love to get in on a restoration project!

So yesterday while driving on HWY 70 back from St. Louis I thought I saw something peaking through the trees. I could have sworn I saw track! So I pulled off the next exit to investigate! After a little searching through a few back gravel roads I came across this! The following pictures are a testament to the life altering events that took place that day! Do my eyes deceive me?! No they do not! It is a small roller coaster in the middle of nowhere! Oooo Look at those rusty curves! Those rusty lines! Those beautiful rusty bumps! She/He is one sexy beast! Her/his gender is up to it. What a lift hill! It reaches to the sky giving us a chance to touch the face of God! I think I shall name him/her Majesty! Damn girl/guy look at those Joints! I see you flashing your bolts! *blushes* If I climb through the whole circuit can I count it as a credit? I leave you now sweet Majesty! Stay forever . . . Majestic? Okay all joking aside while this is just a small portable ride I thought it was a fun and unexpected find. At least for me! I live in Missouri for god's sake. I have to get my entertainment from somewhere! It really was in the middle of nowhere! Nothing around but fields and I'm sure cows somewhere. Either way thanks for reading!

I seriously hope The Boss gets the Iron Horse Treatment! I understand being nostalgic for a ride, however I rode it a few weeks ago and it was just flat out boring. It has good bones and RMC could really do something amazing with that ride! I rode it when it was brand new and it was fun, it was fast, it was intense. But they have trimmed it to hell and back. Now it is just slow. No The Boss has never been a air time machine but I got pretty much no airtime the last time I rode it!

I'm really fascinated by the tilt concept ! It looks amazing and I'm glad to hear it's fun! I hope we see one state side one day !
