Hey Folks, The Big Man here. One of those days where I just did not feel like putting an update up, so I threw something up just for the heck of it and to keep my perfect record going. I appreciate the handful of nice people who always have nice things to say, you know who you are Big Mike honestly can't wait to get to next week and take a week off for riding coasters and not having to put updates up for a week!!! Anyway, this is a very small park named Ocean Beach Park in Connecticut. Someone found this coaster sometime during the 2010 roller coaster season, so Big Mike went out to ride it after thinking he had Connecticut completed already. It's not much, but then again, neither is this trip report lol. Hope you enjoy anyway. Peace, Big Mike PS - Everyone got shut out on Monday's drawing, standings stay the same. Ocean Beach Park! Prices for passes. Prices for tokens. Map. Big Mike inserts 3 dollars for... .... 3 tokens. The coaster here is called Dragon. Reverse angle. Safety barriers to prevent accidents. I am not sure why the coaster is called Dragon when all I see is Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner? Train. Whatever the reason, Big Mike did not care as he just came to get a credit and get out of here. Other rides: The water slide was closed. Seen better days. Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! Today Big Mike takes you way up, like 13,000 feet up in the mountains! This episode was filmed in the middle of July, but there was still some snow to go play in, and Big Mike did just that! Beartooth Mountain is on the border of Wyoming and Montana, and is just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. I hope you enjoy the beauty of it all! Welcome Big Mike Readers!!! Today we share some fun with the TPR gang while we visited Mazatlan Mexico during Robb's 40th Birthday Cruise! Mix in some sun, a cruise, the TPR gang, food, and an adrenaline rush and that all equals a GREAT time! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike ps - All 7 finalists came up empty yesterday on the 4th drawing of The Big Mike Road Show Reader of the Year Contest! Big Mike in Mazatlan Mexico!!! Guess who else is here, a lot of the TPR gang! Big Mike even reaches the 5-10 age demographic for the Big Mike Road Show! This is Rhiannon, daughter of Maureen (moinab) Big Mike strolls the town of Mazatlan. Lots of taxis for lots of TPR members. Our group got a nice open aired vehicle. Applebees anyone? After the taxis, we had to take a boat to our destination. Big Mike could care less how long the boat ride took, he had Lou by his side! Off the boat and on to some tractors! Cruise boat to taxi to boat to tractor so far if you are keeping count. We passed little towns. Lots of ATVs are ready for us. This was a half beach/half ATV ride tour. Big Mike started by relaxing on the beach. You can relax anywhere, but you can't go in the nice blue water all the time. KidTums sighting! There was even a sighting of that legendary Bandito Big Mike! Actually, there was a whole gang of them! Big Mike is ready to ride! Now you can see why we had the bandanas, so you don't eat dirt! First, we drove through some fields! We also made a few stops to see some wildlife. Next, we rode through a little town. The little kids would come running out to say hi to The Mighty Big Man! Big Mike doubled back and gave lots of kids some dollars! The final stop was a ride on the beach!! The Big Man is ready to open it up on the beach! ATV riding in the sand on the beach. Clear sailing ahead to reach top speed! A nice way to end the day in Mazatlan Mexico! Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike

There seems to be an unwritten rule about being too tall or heavy for this ride, and Big Mike met with a little resistance when he came to collect the coaster. A quick explanation of "Traveling the World Riding Roller Coasters" was all it took this time, and The Big Man saved the Big Mike Charm for another day, we don't want to overuse it for sure! Theming. Big Mike was allowed to sit in the front seat so he could ring the bell! Another coaster collected! As Big Mike says after getting off each new coaster credit, "Ka-Ching!" This particular place is actually right next to a few parks in Coney Island New York. The parks of Coney Island are bordered by the NY Aquarium on one side, and this baseball stadium, Keyspan Park, on the other side. You can do what Rick (Coaster Palooza) and his wife Gyendolynne and I did, see the game, eat at Nathans, and ride the Cyclone! Hope you enjoy! Rick is here to watch his friend Gabe umpire the game. Rick and Gabe go way back! While Rick is chatting with Gabe, Big Mike is the center of attention of the Cyclone Girls! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! We now complete our 12th week of daily Mon to Fri updates! Cruising right along on pace for 200 updates this year, and a little rest and relaxation coming up this weekend as Big Mike starts off his coaster season at I/X Indoor Amusement Park in Cleveland Ohio!! Also, another bright note, Big Mike signed up for Leviathon Bash in Canada this week also, what other Valuable Big Mike Readers are going to be there??? Today's episode of The Big Mike Road Show comes to you from Zuccotti Park, home of Occupy Wall Street! Big Mike went under cover, which means no World Tour T-shirt, and snuck in under the radar to see what was going on in there! Here is what I found out, hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike Zuccotti Park! Why is Big Mike there? Big Mike is at Occupy Wall Street!! The whole park is fenced off to keep all the undesireables inside! Big Mike was going to try and go inside, but with Outlaw Bobby in there, Big Mike had second thoughts for his safety! Big Mike manned up and decided to go for it! The city decorated the park very nicely for the protesters. Artwork too! Big Mike has made it inside and sits in on a lecture on how to stay warm. Yep, Big Mike has fully infiltrated Occupy Wall Street now! Big Mike has come to the conclusion that there are some weird types in here. The police can try as hard as they want, this is one guy they won't be able to evict! This is a nice touch, they have cornered off an area for the bird's Occupy Wall Street! The birds are actually treated pretty well! Big Mike hung out and just listened since there were no hot babes to hit on. This can't be that hard, just sit here all day and do nothing, that's a job Big Mike could handle! THERE IT IS!!! Big Mike is officially occupying Wall Street!!! Send me over a paper since I am bored already! Big Mike can one day remember back when he was part of this movement, but for now, there are too many other things to do in planning for The Big Mike Road Show 2012 World Tour to just be sitting around! I hope you enjoy the pictures! The WILD CARD game for the last chance to advance to the Final round of the Big Mike Reader of the Year Contest will be tomorrow! There it is, the Dragon Wagon! Overview. Side view. The worst view. 36 to 54 inches ONLY! Big Mike stands at a gorgeous 73 inches, 19 inches over the limit and sadly denied to ride. Big Mike was hoping not to unpack The Big Mike Charm on this trip, but it was time to break it out once again! Big Mike always brings it with him on these long and far away trips being that he may only have one shot to get these credits! Time to go back through the off limits area and find the office! You can see in Big Mike's expression that going to the owner of the park to discuss riding a kiddie coaster is not one of Big Mike's most favorite things to do, but when you are in the business of being the best coaster collector out there, these things have to be done! Now, will the owner even grant Big Mike a meeting? Success! Big Mike gets to tell the story of "Traveling the World Riding Roller Coasters" yet once again! Will it work? It's time to see the owner now! YES!!! Craig, the owner of Enchanted Island, makes a deal with Big Mike: "Come back after the park closes and give me a Big Mike Road Show Valuable Reader Pin, and you can ride the coaster!" Big Mike accepts the deal! Since we had some time until the park closed, we took some pictures of everything else at the park for the Valuable Big Mike Readers to see! This was brand new! It was so hot, Big Mike almost joined in on the fun! They did have a nice train ride. Also of note, a Herschell carousel! We took pictures of everything and still had time to spare, so the whole gang went out for breakfast! Big Mike's treat! Hey look, the park is closed..... but it is open for The Big Man!!! Mike the ride operator was waiting for us and excited to see Big Mike! Why you ask? Craig and Mike was checking out The Big Mike Road Show thread while we were gone! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers! It's To Do Tuesday again, which means something to do while out riding roller coasters and visiting amusement parks! Today we hit NYC, and anytime you hit ANY amusement park anywhere close to the greatest city in the World, you should be stopping by! "The Ride" is a combo mix of bus tour and Broadway show! The bus trip is a little over an hour, brings you to many top sights in New York City, but at the same time, occasionally has little performances set up on the streets for everyone to watch! The bus is equipped with an amazing sound and lighting system, full windows, and a 3 level stadium seating. Best of all, everyone outside can see you and hear you! The bus is a real show stopper as all the tourists on the street just stop and stare! Big Mike has some pictures, but you will get more satisfaction from watching the videos I think. This is a tour of the inside of the bus: This is a sample of the entertainment you see outside the windows: (There was a rapper, a New Year's Eve countdown, The Kiss in Times Square, and many more) This one catches the magic of New York City! This is the BEST video, the finale in Times Square where a big crowd gathers to hear Big Mike sing "New York, New York"!!! Make sure you suffer until the end for the HUGE finish! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike So Big Mike was in his back yard again, NYC, and doing his usually job of raising money for more coaster trips! While standing on the corner, Big Mike notices "The Ride" drive by, which you can see over Big Mike's shoulder now. Big Mike just had to ride it and experience it, so he collected enough money on the street to get a ticket! You can see that only one side of the bus has windows, and there are 3 rows of seats. Once inside, it is very comfortable and impressive! The lights and sound system are dazzling! The bus drives along with an announcer describing the NYC landmarks like Grand Central Station! Between landmarks, little sketches or shows are performed outside for everyone to watch, and we can hear everything outside perfectly too! Big Mike also scouted out this cupcake vendor and when the tour was over, went to find him! Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike
