Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!!! The Tuesday update is something fun to do near an amusement park that Big Mike visited and hopefully you will soon too! This episode is The San Antonio River Walk in San Antonio Texas, just a little ways away if you are visiting Six Flags Fiesta Texas! We are lucky to have a couple guest stars on this episode with The Mighty Big Man, Megan (Pirouettes907) and Laura (cal1br3tto)! Hope you enjoy!!! Peace, Big Mike The San Antonio River Walk!!! Megan, Laura, and Big Mike visit Tony Roma's on the River Walk for a very special occasion, Laura turns 21 today!!! The nice thing about the eateries by the River Walk is that you can eat on the edge of the water or up on a ledge overlooking the River Walk! Here you can see where the boats turn around. Tonight we chose to eat up on the ledge and since it was Laura's birthday, she got to sit on Big Mike's lap!! The next day we went back to eat again since it was so much fun the night before, but this time we chose to sit on the edge of the water! The advantage to sitting here is that you get close up ducky time! A dinner on the River Walk is not complete without a mariachi band playing beside you during dinner! The Big Man wonders if there is anything better than food, music, girls, and being on the water with ducks? The River Walk has shops, eateries, and fun things to do on each side of the river, and you can get across by these bridges the girls are posing on! It is also a great spot to yell down and scare everyone in the boat below you! Check out the guy in the front row, Big Mike got him! Of course, Big Mike wouldn't bring the girls all the way here and not let them get a boat ride on the River Walk! The view from the boat is nice, as you can see all options on both sides of the river. You can't come and say you have been to the River Walk without actually riding a boat on the river! Big Mike actually does not have a list of coasters in order, he only prints out a rcdb sheet and writes the number on there, then has to shuffle through a load of papers to find the exact number. Sometimes Big Mike does not find the sheet like tonight Journey to Atlantis! Only a 5 minute wait, super nice! Overview. It's a water ride and not a coaster credit, right? Big Mike won't give away the surprise to anyone who has not been on it yet, and everyone who has already knows, but Big Mike did sneak through the shrubs to give you a hint on what happens behind the building! Kraken! Overview. VIP line for The Mighty Big Man for sure! Lift. There is the Kraken!!! Shamu Express! There is Shamu! Lift. Other rides at Sea World: Sky Tower. Paddle Boats. Sea Carousel. Different Sea Creatures to ride. Shamu's Happy Harbor. Swishy Fishies. Flying Fiddler. Ocean Commotion. Jazzy Jellies. Wild Arctic. You can take the motion side or the non motion. Big Mike took a non synchronized motion ride once here and got super duper sicky poo! Now that the rides are taken care of, Sea World is mostly about the animals, so here are a few: Dolphin Nursery. A Big Mike favorite, the Clydesdale Hamlet. The greatest horses! Best name I have ever seen! Dude will be pulling the beer wagon soon! Shark Encounter. No idea what Big Mike was trying to pull off here, but it failed. That's not a fail though! Big Mike went by The Oyster's Secret and wanted to find out what the secret was! A quick look inside and a bathing suit clad babe caught Big Mike's eye! Big Mike had to get a closer look at the female art form. Yikes, caught looking! Big Mike found out what the secret was!!! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike finally attends The Little League World Series! You know the event is huge when the Good Year blimp covers the action! If this was video, you could see the message scrolling on the blimp "Welcome Big Mike"! Of course, perfect landscaping. Nice scenery of a father and son. Big Mike used to play little league ball too, and to say he was a superstar would be an understatement! This Williamsport complex consisted of many fields. ESPN is in the house! Many people said they saw The Mighty Big Man on TV that day! Today was a semi final game between Asia Pacific and Japan, with 2 USA teams later, the winners advancing to the finals tomorrow! View from the outfield. Center field camera. We are going on air soon with live coverage! Team Japan emerges! Every team groups up at a monument in center field before the game starts. A better view of the monument! Little League World Series 2010, finally off Big Mike's Always Wanted To Do List! Big Mike continues his tradition of checking out the foul poles of every stadium. Yep, this event always gets crowded! You have to be a real big wig to get seats in the stands like Big Mike did! Big Mike is more of a "be with the people" kind of guy, so he headed out to all the real fans in the outfield! Good thing too! Look who I found! Jordan from TPR! (jbarner) Jordan came with his own sign to get on TV! Big Mike couldn't help but notice all the fun everyone was having on the hill in the outfield and wanted to be a part of it! Statue on the hill. All you need is some cardboard and the hill provides the rest of the fun. Big Mike did not want to miss out on the experience, so The Big Man went down the hill right after snapping this picture. It was fun!!! The upper boon dock seats, often referred to as the Bob Eucker seats in baseball. The lineups for the upcoming USA game. Maybe one day we can check back on this thread to see if any big league players played today! The game was thrilling as Japan scored a run in the bottom of the last inning to tie it and won it in extra innings, and eventually won the whole thing! Little league teaches you to have good sportsmanship. The complex had a whole area of activities, sales, demonstrations and such as well. This episode, Big Mike and Megan were visiting Wild Waves and the Puyallup Fair in the state of Washington and took a side trip to see this one of a kind attraction! Actually, it is far from a one of a kind place, there are so many of these places all over the place, but this was the VERY FIRST one of them all! Big Mike and Megan bring you the World's first Starbucks!!!! Hope you enjoy! Big Mike has never really even gone to a Starbucks before, yet he tracked this one down just for one reason, it is the very first Starbucks ever!!! Now with all the Starbucks out there right now, Big Mike thought this was special enough to check out! This is the special plaque seen in the front of the store!!! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! Wednesdays mean a small, little park... and Big Mike has an unusual one for sure! Big Mike was on another whirlwind tour of many states at one time, and no matter how Big Mike planned it, there was absolutely no logical way Big Mike could get this coaster! The parks before and after it was Oaks and Enchanted Forest in the state of Oregon, and Silverwood in the state of Idaho, and Big Mike was trying to get the coaster at Country Mercantile in the state of Washington!!! The only way Big Mike could get this coaster was to use The Big Mike Charm, and use it in full force!! Big Mike came up with a plan to leave Silverwood at closing and drive all the way to Country Mercantile and find a hotel there, wake up and hit Country Mercantile at opening at 7am, ride the coaster and then drive all the way to Oregon for those parks the same day! Craziness for sure, especially since the rides at Country Mercantile won't be open until 11am! Big Mike needed to try at least, and decided to use the Big Mike Charm to the fullest to get this accomplished! Big Mike made a call, or two, or maybe even three, and explained the plan and the importance of not leaving a coaster credit behind, and asked REALLY REALLY nicely if they could open the coaster up just for Big Mike VERY early in the morning! Of course the 1st call said 11am no matter what, the 2nd call was met with more compassion and they said they would try to work it out, and the 3rd call confirmed that they would take care of The Mighty Big Man!!!! The moral of the story - The Big Mike Road Show has some serious clout Hope you enjoy! Country Mercantile in Washington, a fruit stand coaster! Yep, a little amusement park right next to the fruit market! Prices. Overview. The coaster, looks like a Python Pit outside! Yep, that is Big Mike and Megan at 7am collecting a coaster credit!! Another coaster credit conquered by The Mighty Big Man! I tried to look back and see what number this was, but after 5 minutes of looking gave up! Other rides at Country Mercantile: Carousel. Airplanes. Train ride. Halloween extras! Straw Bale Maze. Big Mike loves mazes! Corn Maze too. A quick ride, a few pictures, and Big Mike was on his way to Oregon, but only after stopping inside the store for a nice breakfast! I know that someday I will have used up all the magical power of The Big Mike Charm, but until that day, I will continue to use it to its fullest power time and time again! Hope you enjoyed! If you are ever out that way to ride one of those remote roller coasters, try to check it out as it is the first declared National Monument in the USA! Since it is Valentine' Day too, I figured that this would be a good time to show this episode since Big Mike was lucky enough to meet two super hotties while visiting The Devil's Tower!!! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!!!!! Love you guys!! Well here is a change of pace for The Big Mike Road Show, showing that Big Mike is not only a wild and crazy guy, but he has a serious side too! Here is a stop that I made after visiting Amusement Park Drive In located in Montana. Little Bighorn Battlefield, also known as Custer's Last Stand. Here is a little background for this trip report: From Wikipedia: The Battle of the Little Bighorn, also known as Custer's Last Stand and, by the Indians involved, as the Battle of the Greasy Grass, was an armed engagement between combined forces of Lakota, Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho people against the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. The battle, which occurred on June 25 and 26, 1876 near the Little Bighorn River in eastern Montana Territory, was the most famous action of the Great Sioux War of 1876. It was an overwhelming victory for the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho, led by several major war leaders, including Crazy Horse and Gall, inspired by the visions of Sitting Bull (Tȟatȟáŋka Íyotake). The U.S. Seventh Cavalry, including the Custer Battalion, a force of 700 men led by George Armstrong Custer, suffered a severe defeat. Five of the Seventh's companies were annihilated; Custer was killed, as were two of his brothers, a nephew, and a brother-in-law. Total U.S. deaths were 268, including scouts, and 55 were wounded. So, this is not something you see everyday, or may ever get to see, so Big Mike will bring it to you on today's edition of The Big Mike Road Show! Hope you enjoy! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! Thanks for once again stopping in to take a look. It is time to show you another small park, but in actuality, it is really a flea market! Since Big Mike already collected the two flea market coasters at Uncle Bernies in Florida, it was now time to travel to Colorado to hit the Mile High Flea Market! Big Mike tracks EVERY single coaster in the USA, and sooner or later he is going to come visit and ride you! It does not matter if you hide at a farm, a zoo, a mall, a fruit stand, a bowling alley or even a flea market... Big Mike will find you!!! So today's episode is from Mile High Flea Market in the state of Colorado and I hope you enjoy it! Peace, Big Mike Mile High Flea Market!! $3 admission to get in. Wow, look how long the flea market is! Whoa, look how wide the flea market is! Overhead view. The flea market covers a lot of ground. Big Mike does a little shopping on the way back to the coaster. At $21, these stun guns are a steal and they will help Big Mike with the line jumpers at the coaster! ZAP!!!!! The rides are open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Prices. Big Mike is only here to ride one ride, the coaster! Dragon Coaster! Overview. The coaster cars fit either one Big Mike or 3 little girls. Lift. Top view. Big Mike is amped to try this craziness coming up! This element was so forceful that Big Mike could not even keep his eye on the camera. Chalk up another out of the way coaster credit for the Mighty Big Man!!!! That's coaster #871 for Rollercoaster Rider. Even the little girls loved the coaster. There are a whole lot of little coaster credit places near Chicago, or maybe while making a visit to Six Flags Great America, there is a restaurant that my buddies Craig (Iggyace) and Cameron (Cameron) enjoy eating at and knew that Big Mike would too! Kuma's Corner! Yes, it is on a corner if you are looking for it. This poster sums it up well, as they put anything imaginable on top of their burgers! Kuma's is a small place, but it is themed to heavy metal and the burgers are named after heavy metal bands! Side note - Big Mike likes heavy metal and burgers! Big Mike also likes the theming inside!! Craig and his son Casey were with The Big Man all day collecting kiddie credits, thanks to Casey! Casey wanted to know what this green drink was and what would happen if you drank too much of it? Big Mike shows Casey what you look like if you have too many. Casey asked Big Mike if he could hook him up with one of the girls in the poster since he got me on all the kiddie coasters today! Big Mike told Casey he would show him how to get hotties after dinner. The best appetizer there is many varieties of Mac and Cheese!! Loved it! Now here is where Big Mike has promised to ease up on the ducky hiding! Once there, there is a hide and seek game where you need to find 26 elves hiding throughout the park! When you find an elf, you need to punch your card! Big Mike wanted to get the coaster credit ASAP, but he couldn't pass up this elf hiding in the bushes! Rudy's Rapid Transit! Rudy is the lead car. Track. More track. It's a long train. Big Mike plants himself in the back seat. Lots of low areas for grabbing grass. Look at this over and under section! Will Big Mike's head get chopped off? Nope! You are stuck seeing this head plastered on many more trip reports to come Move over kids, let The Big Man through so he can punch his card! Hello Ducky Hunters!! Well Big Mike seems to have given everyone the screw job yet once again! I think Big Mike is going to have to tone down his ducky hiding, and it will start with this next ducky game. For the 2nd time in 3 weeks, no one guessed the correct amount of duckies Thus, Big Mike is ready to put up the next ducky game and will eliminate one of the hidden duckies because it is just too hard and Big Mike wants winners!!!!!!!!
