^ Cool update. I have not had a chance to see Jungala yet, the tigers look awesome. I hope Busch gardens will install a webcam for construction. Have they done that in the past? I know they have registered the domain name for Cheetaka.com and could possibly have a camera there. I would love to here some of your guesses on what the layout may be. Maybe a little launch out of the station. I think they will go immersive with some sort of pre show. What is that figure 8 for? Then the first big launch. Will this thing ever get high? Will it have to slow down like Maverick to enter the second big launch? Cheetaka is officially Florida's best coaster

Best Out and Back Coasters
dragonskeep replied to PhillyGirl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Magnum is a thing of beauty. -
I saw a photo on a Behind the Thrills trip report, (sorry can't include it here but Weiner Looping made me stupid), that had both sides of the trench installed. Seems like the trench is too narrow for a Wingrider type train. The figure 8 looks a little tight too. They are really moving along with this , can't wait for track! Would Maverick be the best coaster in Florida? I think so. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetaka

Favorite Coaster at Cedar Point?
dragonskeep replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Magnum has a very special place in my heart. It's big and fast and feels like you could be thrown into the lake at any moment. What else could you want in a coaster? The atmosphere the year it opened was the best ever. -
I think track may be on site by then, but probably not installed. Just go snooping around nearby empty lots instead of riding coasters, just kidding of course. Have a good time in September but i think you will have a real good reason to come back next year. All I need right now is to see this trench being dug. Soon? I guess there has to be a drop out of the station. Praying for AIRTIME . I wont care if it's all low but I would love a Tophat or a fast launched lift hill.

Intimidator 305 Media Day Complete Coverage - Kings Dominion

If this were the only thing released from media day, I would still be driving up in June. It makes me laugh when I look at it. I think I am getting my very own Intamin soon. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
dragonskeep replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Its always exciting when The Point gets a new ride. I actually am liking it more as it is finished. If it keeps folks off Maverick then I'll love it -
I hope we don't have to wait until 2012 for this coaster. With retracking Gwazi (maybe flyers), work on Kumba, and the animal interaction I just had a bad feeling about it. That's quite a bit for 1 year. Could we get a new coaster too? The sale is looking ok to me. What kind of beer do these guys make? I forgot about Sesame Street, there are a lot of nice changes coming to the park.

The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

A hyper at BGT would be perfect. They would have a real sweet collection at that point. Just don't get cute and build a Maurer Sohne. I know they had a problem getting clearance to build Sheikra at 200 feet, I would love to see them go higher with this....or launch it to 80 or so and then go up 200. As long as it's a hyper I will be pretty excited. -
I was there a week ago on a Sunday. They were running 2 trains and there was a wait of 2 hours. I quickly headed to the quick queue counter, it was after 5 so it only cost me 20 bucks. My wait times were less than 10 minutes and I rode at least ten times. The ride is pretty great. I am not sure how it rates overall but it is considerably better than Superman at Great Adventure. The thing is flat out beautiful, Seaworld did a great job. As others have said the Pretzel loop is very intense especially in the back. I really love the drop off the brake run into the splash effect and the waterfall fly by. You can actually touch the water from the left side of the train. The interaction with the walkways is also very cool. Manta is a perfect addition to Seaworld. Between Manta, Kraken, and the Shamu shows it has become one of my favorite parks. Hey Robb, is Seaworld typically a TPR destination? I am sure you will enjoy it in October and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I would love to say hi if you will be here for HHN. Take care.
