  1. Just got to Hyena Falls and now just waiting..... just waiting.... just waiting..... I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! This last hour is killing me
  2. Ok, just rode Voyage and got a complete look at the site and all i can say is WOW, whatever this is gonna be, its gonna be incredible!!!!!!
  3. I cant believe how massive this is gonna be. The construction path coming all the way down paat hyena falls down to where splashing safari meets back into the main park.... possible an immelman here.
  4. Paeks crowd right now is moderate. Walkes on raven as usual, and about a 15 minute wait for legend which is only running one train. Next is Voyage and a look at the site
  5. Here I come Holiday World, see you in 2 1/2 hours..... I absolutely cant wait for tonight...
  6. I almost forgot this one. It was when I went to Mt. Olympus last summer.... about an hour after opening, a father, mother and 3 kids behind me in line for Hades 360. They were all talking about how cool all the waterslides and go carts were and how excited they were to ride something as big as Hades and then the dad looks at the mom and says "I can't believe this place, why haven't we been here before, this place is great" then looks at the oldest kid and says "Six Flags in Chicago needs to come here and get some ideas, more amusement parks need to be operated like this!" I just sat there in disbelief for a moment before facepalming myself. I said "ideas on what, 20 ways to die?' I just got stared at for a minute with disgust as my friends and I laughed knowing they had no idea what they were in for the rest of the day. Then the dad says to the kids in a lower tone, as if to try for me not to hear him "how about we skip going to Six Flags on the way home and stay here 2 extra days"
  7. Personally, the footers aren't NEARLY as large as everyone was making them out to be... some coaster footers are known to be as big as trucks, these arent even as big as a compact cars
  8. I've got to say, theres quite a few people here that would make GREAT detectives..... and a few others here that would hold the door open for the robbers (and also make me want to bash my head into a wall with there absurd comments)
  9. With being a SF pass holder for 25+ years, I think I can safely say SF is n a lot of trouble right now and its being ignored. I'm not saying its like the Premiere days, god those were awful, but its slowly starting to head down that path. Ive been to 7 SF parks, 3 of them recently (SFSTL being my home park), and they were starting to look good and have better atmospheres, and then in the past 2 years, they seem to be neglected again. SFSTL used to be a top park in the US, then it was neglected for a very long time, then Shapiro came in and things started looking good again, and then the past 2 years came and the park is practically in shambles.... not to mention some of the worst guest service I have seen in years. SFGAM the past 2 years seems to have slipped too, from the guest service, to the general maintenance. IMO, SF needs to forget about rides for 1 year and instead invest that money to general maintenance, landscaping, a new training/ guest service program for employees and a new line of marketing. I love SF parks, I really do, but Im starting to get fed up with numerous issues... Rude employees who seem like theyre being bothered all the time, advertisements all over the parks, random games just thrown all over the place, the complete and utter neglect to the parks, the constant dumping of money into their flagship parks while the others suffer, but the worst.... THE UNWILLINGNESS TO FIX IT ALL!
  10. I am all for a wingrider. I dont know why so many people want a flyer. They are uncomfortable, a tad slow on the load and unload, kind of boring, and dont give you that "punch".... at least IMO. I would rather see this be a sit down or floorless, but I have no complaints about a wingrider. I would love to see HW build a wingrider that compares to no others yet built, something that really says "this is how you do it". And IMO all the clues and evidence points to a wingrider. Theres a little chant that keeps going through my head that keeps saying "wingrider, wingrider, wingrider....."
  11. Nope. That's wishful thinking. Thunderbird has nothing to do with Thanksgiving itself, nor a direct correlation with the Mayflower, or Pilgrims. Yeah, remind me again what relation The Raven has to Halloween. Thanks for the help, ZeroGravity. I see what youre saying but i also get their logic. Ravens/ crows are seen in classic scary movies and scenes.... cemeteries, dath, around scare"crows" which is a classic halloween symbol.. I get the whole Thunderbird thing with thanksgiving and this storyline. With Thunderbird being a native american word and native americans are part of thanksgiving and that Thunderbirds are the makers of large storms much like the storm the crew is dealing with in the 66 days. Im not saying it males complete sense, but I get it.
  12. From what Ive heard, the trough is just going to be filled or a slightly raised track system will be put in the trough
  13. So no one really said if theyre gonna try to be there for the announcement tomorrow. I'll be getting therw around 330 to hit up the coasters a few times, have a bite, then get a good spot for the announcement. I cant wait!!!
  14. I've been thinking the same thing, but yesterday's clue really says wingrider, so Ive been looking at the construction cam and think it is still possible WITHOUT having to go over the building. The left footers on the straightaway could be vertical and the right footers could be the diagonal footers connecting to the left. If the track is above the left footers, looks that theres just enough room to do so.
  15. No offense but did you seriously say "lack of variety at SFMM"?... if anything, they have more variety than any other Six Flags park IMO
  16. If it is a launched wingrider, it could be considered a first of its kind by because its by B&M.... thats the only thing I can think of, but who knows what HW has up their sleeve
  17. Im going with a Justice League theme. It was talked about last year and it would fit with the Justice League theming in the DC area.
  18. I was thinking this same name a few days ago, but thought I was crazy. I was thinking wingrider bird type names and looks like you were too. And now with the 65th clue, it almost confirms it IMO. As much as Ive been hoping for a launched wing rider, but at the same time was somewhat doubting it, I am pretty much convinced this is what it is!!!
  19. I noticed the footer on the right with whatever it is on top too... not sure. The other footer looks to have a bucket on it. As much as i was thinking winged coaster, now Im thinking not, because of how close the straightaway of footers is to the building. At this point Im not even guessing because Im just that lost lol
  20. Not trying to make anyone upset, but I think we're getting a tad off track from the main subject here.
  21. So heres the big question, who on here plans on going to the park Thursday for the big announcement and how busy do you think it will be? I know my roommate and I are making the 3 hour drive....
  22. ^ I was thinking the same thing. And also, Helix, Shambhala, Wild Eagle, and Dämonen, just to name a few
  23. You literally took the words right out of my mouth, I couldnt say it any better. Here's my arguement. If its a flyer, the long straightaway would put the tracks on the left because the building is in the way on the right. but if you go to the left, there also going to be obstructions...
  24. Large footers dont necessarily mean extremely tall. Many B&Ms have large footers for numerous supports meeting in the same location. Example: Batman the Rides have big footers and those arent massive coasters. Im also starting to think of another possibility with this coaster. It may have a lift AND a launch...... kind of like Maverick, even though Mavericks lift is sort of a launch, but you catch my drift
  25. The building is probably going to be a computer/ electrical building. And with its placement next to that long straightaway of footers, makea me think even more this is going to be a launched coaster
