Thanks guys. If my next vid cam has, say a 3 mege pixel still feature, will that improve the grabs directly off tape?

Hi guys, I am strugling to get good quality stills from DV tape. My camera can take stills from tape but the quality is not very good. Is there anyway I can get Hires pics from Dv once I have firewired it into my computer? I have tried several vid edit programs but they only capture a small image. any ideas?

This place is a lot more run down than last time I visited but still has quite a good coaster. I will hopefully get some pics of Encounter Zone this weekend. This ride op managed to solve the mystery of who made this coaster. Its actually quite a violent coaster. A small part of the lift hill is the only thing visible from outside. You could easily miss the coaster, Thunder Mountain. Mainly Kiddie Rides. The usual arcade games are present. But its just another of those frog hopper things. The entrance to Dangors den has been moved. 3d Cinema. The whole top floor of Sharjah Mega mall is taken up by Antics Land. the track above is a shooting monorail ride.

Glad you guy like the pics. I will add some more later today. The girl in the pink hat is one of the kids of the family that are staying with us, hence more park trips than usual, she was dancing at the time, she competes in dance competitions in the UK.

We are having a party tonight, so last night we got daves Disco bar, my bar under the stairs, ready and tasted some of the beers. Pics from my phone so not the best quality. and settled down to my favourite beer right now. got the pool ready .. sorted the lights out Made sure we have enough beer. Checked the smoke machine Filled the optics. Got the bar nicely cleaned up.

finally got some good pics of Adventureland and Antics land in the neighboring Emirate of Sharjah. This was the first time I have ever seen the log flume operating. They do love Frog Hoppers in this part of the world! and a McDonald`s Adventureland, home to 2 powered coasters

the miami Dolphins coaster has been there fro three years now. I am hoping to get back during the day some time to get some more pics. Iraq was great. I even got a Tshirt with a map of Iraq and the words Allah is great and Allah bless Iraq. in Arabic.

The Global Village is a seasonal attraction here in Dubai. It is usually erected for the shopping festival in January but this year its on for nearly five months, so we took the opportunity to visit before the crowds hit. Usually this place is packed and you just cant move so it was a nice change to See it so empty. And side boobs. Onto the fair next!. Girdles these funky walking animals from japan they have a nice laser and water show The food options are wide and varied And soap The Yemeni stalls sell lots of jewelery each country sells their own products. its a little like Epcot's World Showcase. camels This year is the 1st year you have had to pay to get in. AED 3 around $1 each. it keeps the undesirables away. driving up it looks quite impressive

This is only the sales centre, not the actual park. Hopefully they will get some real coasters soon. I did get quite close to that mock up so can I claim it as a credit?

On my way out last night I managed to drive round the back. Sadly I didn't have my camera but here are a couple of shots from my phone. After the loop the track disappeared into this hole. It IS big enough to fit a train through. the other end appears to come out of the building. The mountain looks quite good as well. More to come as soon as possible. a giraffe! still dont think it is real though.

I have to say. It Does look like real track but a wrong layout. When I can get closer I should have more details. However I know money is no object to this project so they could have bought real track and erected it themeselves. Does anyone have any contacts in the industry that might have sold such track? As this is only the sales centyre, I think the actual park might be quite special, Getting quite excited out here now!!

My sister in law lives near he Dubailand site and casually asked if I had sen the new roller coaster. Of course I hightailed it up there to get some photos. Here they are. And some sort of, big man sat down and dolphins, thing. As soon as I can get closer you will get more pics. they also seem to be building some Elephants there as well. It is mighty impressive though. At least that is what I assume it is, I could no get close enough to see where the track went. Ahh, of course, its n top of the Dubailand sales centre. Its just a full scale mock up has it stalled in the loop? is that track not a bit sharp? This looks amazing, Hang On. OMG, there IS a coaster over that hill! I was reliably informed that there was a coaster sitting over this hill.

^ The Dubai mall is due to open next year, I have not heard of any attractions yet, other than the fact that you enter through glass tunnels in a massive aquarium!. The is some movement at the Dubailand site. I will start a new topic for it after I have been up there this weekend.

yeah I thought that might be the case. I have a week to do European parks, sadly just a month after the TPR Uk trip so I will miss that. I really have no idea of distances in Europe where the parks are located.

Hi, If I were planning to visit Europa Park, Tunesenfryd and liseberg and maybe disney would it be feasible in one week? How dificult is it to get between these parks? Thanks sorry for the spelling.
