  1. That awesome Julie! Glad you and Kevin had an great time. I do miss stick figure Kevin though.
  2. That was AWESOME!!! Only if more parks had employees like that.
  3. Bonfante is truly a beautiful park. The pictures don't do it justice. It is a kid's park though. So I get bored with the place very easily. Well... I have the 2 credits there now. I guess I don't need to go back.
  4. Yeah... I've pretty much given up. Derek and Heath pretty much own this thread now. Hop Devil beats out Widmer any day. On another note: I start bottling the Weiss Ass Pilsner on Friday!!!
  5. ^I'll probably be down again in a couple of weeks on a Friday after work. I still need to ride Survivor. I need to pick up some more supplies for the brew store in Concord anyway. And BTW... The Votex crew was the fastest and friendliest crew I have ever meet. They were dispatching trains faster than I've ever seen any other B&M Stand-Up operated. Faster than Mantis. Top Gun on the other hand... 2 people on the platform while there were 5 people hanging out in the control room??? Thanks man!
  6. ^Yeah... we were all set to come out for Holiwood nights. But stupid me waited to long to purchase our airfare. I checked one last time last Wednesday before I canceled our room at Santa's Lodge. $745 was the cheapest airfare I could find. I couldn't justify it. So we just hung out around home. Sorry... I'll let you know when were out next time.
  7. Karen, Gavin and I spent the weekend down near Great America. The entire PTR can be viewed at http://www.brainville.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=359 Here are some teaser photos.
  8. ^I have purchased a large fridge for the garage so I can ferment the beer at the exact temperature I want it. The next batch so be just about perfect.
  9. I don't plan on filtering this beer in any means. Gypsum was added during the brewing process, so that will cut down greatly on the cloudiness. Calcium Sulfate is great to add after the the steeping of the grains. It's collects a lot of those proteins in the beer that create that cloudiness haze.
  10. Well actually... your kind of right. Common Name: Hops Genus/Species: Humulus Lupulus Family: Cannabinaceae, the same family that includes Cannabis sativa/indica (marijuana).
  11. Anyone want to take guess at what I'm planting in my garden today?
  12. ^Kind of reminds you of Disneyland Hong Kong... doesn't it?
  13. ^A brew like this will take 2 weeks to ferment in the carboy. Then after that I will prime it with corn starch and a bottle it. It's needs to sit in the bottle for 2 weeks before it can be consumed.
  14. Yo... E-Dawg, can you change mine to "Do you know where your wife is?" Thanks!
  15. Alright... the hippies won, so pay up!!!
  16. The beer at BJ's sucks, but the pizza is the best I ever had. Ignore the thumbs up. Because these beers tasted like crap!!!
  17. ^Happy birthday Craigger's!!!
  18. So as some of you might know... I'm a brewer by trade. I work for one of thee largest brewing companies in the world. Well... brewing the same thing day in and day out get's old REAL quick. So what I wanted to do was start brewing my own stuff at home. This was test brew for sure. I made a lot of mistakes and I'm not setting my hopes high for this brew to taste awesome. Brewing from 750BLS to 5gals is a big difference and a challenge. Here are some teaser photos. All photos can be viewd here http://www.brainville.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=354
  19. I justed finished my first brew. 2 more weeks and I get to bottle it. Then 2 weeks after that I get to drink it.
