  1. For those unfamiliar with transit in the area, if you're travelling with a group, you each need your own PRESTO card, you can't just load a single card with enough money and have everyone use it...
  2. Yes, but it's an all new kind of suck. In comparison to the suck that's been there for years, this will at least be different...
  3. The southern Roadway Inn is now the Wolf Inn Hotel, looks to be independent and not part of a chain. Can't vouch for it now, haven't stayed there since the change. It was outdated as hell, but serviceable. And the other Roadway Inn is beyond terrible. Waaaay worse than the other was. The staff I met were nice as hell, but it's a straight up dump. If you were being paid to stay there, I'd still go elsewhere.
  4. The video link doesn't work... I have 2 questions though, how big is it, and do you get wet???
  5. If you're having trouble getting the belt on with Leviathan or Behemoth, before you sit down, grab the belt and pull it out really far… It'll come out way, way past what the clamshell restraint will fit... Pull it out, and while you're still standing, buckle it, then sit down... It's much easier than fumbling trying to find the buckle while it's wedged between your hip and the seat...
  6. Yes, if coming from the south, take the Rutherford exit and go straight onto Canada's Wonderland Drive... And if you want a front row on Yukon Striker, just after where the Fast Lane+ merges with the regular queue, there is a queue just for the Front Row... It means a bit longer wait, as the front row takes 8 per train, and rows 2/3 take 16 total, but it's not really that long of a wait and is worth it in my opinion... If you need a red belted seat, tell the grouper and they'll help
  7. For Yukon Striker, on every car, the 3rd seat from either end has a slightly longer belt, which I've seen make the difference between fitting and not fitting...
  8. I've found the merch this year to an improvement over previous years... We're still way, way behind CP, KI, KD and Carowinds, but we're at least on Dorney's level now...
  9. I think the lack of negativity in here is a result of the people swinging the ban hammer having enough of peoples shit and giving them the boot. If they were going to be an asshat about this, they were likely already an asshat about something else previously and got tossed off the cliff. In corners of the internet where the powers that be feel that member count/views is more important than oxygen, negativity over Orion abounds.
  10. I think coasterbill said what I was thinking, far better than I could... I don't understand how people consider themselves enthusiasts when they aren't enthusiastic about anything...
  11. If your bag is large, you won't be able to take it on WMG... They have a box at the front of the queue, if it fits, you take it on with you... If it doesn't you'll have to get a locker... Everything else has a bin... Really like what they've done with the bins on Yukon Striker...
  12. Thursday is a national day of remembrance for the Great Maple Syrup Heist... Friday is take your moose to work day!!!
  13. I think the push for next years passes usually comes late August...
  14. Wow, I never even knew there was a pizza tour! Going to def try to squeeze this in someday!
  15. Actually it'd have to be Six(sees) Drapeau Sur Quebec.
  16. Single rider line for Yukon, no... Single rider line leads up into the station... The Fastlane & Standard queues meet at a point where guests choose to wait for front row, or rows 2/3... These lead up the stairs into the station, where they fill the rows from the queues for those seats... Single rider line is used to fill seats left by adding groups and the result being less than 8, but not big enough to get another group in... Downside is you won't get to choose your seat, but the upside is on a busy day, it can drastically reduce your wait time on Yukon Striker... Behemoth, Leviathan and Vortex, they'll let you wait for the seat you want...
  17. The festivals dont draw much because the food isnt that good, and they only do them on weekends... I fell for it once, I'm not going to Wonderland on a summer Saturday just so I can overpay for bad food...
  18. It is very much a CW thing... It's been baffling visitors for years...
  19. Because aside from the aforementioned Backlot, it's an overwhelming abundance of the theme park standards: mediocre pizza, low-effort burgers and off the shelf chicken fingers... And I'm hoping they've changed it since early in the year, but they had removed the fountains from Backlot, so even if you had a drink plan/cup you either had to go elsewhere to get a drink, or purchase bottled... 9 times last year I wanted to try the buffet (I've heard it's good), 9 times they were closed for private event... Alpen Cheesery always closed, La Cantina I tried once, and the quality was worse than Taco Bell left in the trunk of a car for a weekend...
  20. Agreed with the Tim Hortons/Dunkin Donuts comparison... The reason so many people drink a double-double (2 cream, 2 sugar) from TH is that you need all that cream and sugar to hide the horrid flavour... And if you're looking to save some money, go to your bank and exchange your money before your trip... You'll get a better exchange rate than if you did it at the border, and using your cards up here can often lead to foreign transaction fees...
  21. Was at the park last weekend, saw first hand they're taking line jumping at least a bit more seriously than they have in the past (which was not at all). 2 guys joined the single rider line on YS, and after the merge point of FL/Standby, switched over to the front row lane. Cast member working at the merge point saw and pointed them out to security, who were waiting in the station for them. Best part is the 2 were very upset they weren't going to be allowed on.
  22. No, it's a separate event. Actually, the Gold and Platinum Passes do allow guests to visit Halloween Haunt an unlimited amount of times. Take a look at the benefits of the season passes in the link provided. Ah, thank you I stand corrected That's bonus news for me lol It's the first year for it, very glad they made this change...
