Against Leather and Animal Testing !!!!
BiCoastal Kid replied to Hercules's topic in Random, Random, Random
The meat thing more than likely started at the Ice Age when it was harder to gether fruits and other edible plant type things. We probably kept eating meat because when it gets hot, there are still animals, so we wouldn't have been forced to change our habits, just expand them again. -
I'm sorry, but i actually found that quite amusing!

Non Racing Colossus at SFMM
BiCoastal Kid replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I never heard that. I always left it to SFMM being lazy. The first time I ever rode Colossus back in '94 I believe it was, it raced. Great way to be my first "big coaster." -
Yeah I can see that. I guess Id like my tattoo to "tell a story." Like my friend Kirsten and Lindsery have platypii on them because that's their personal religion. I guess as long as it reminded me of something. I don't think I'd want to get something because it was "cool" or "cute" because I could wind up growing out of I and not liking it.

I personally don't have tattoos, but knows plenty of people who do and have basically asked the same qustions. THis really depends on your pain tolerance. I have friends who say they actually like the feeling of getting tattoos. Other people may think it's the most painful thing in the world. Really, if you're going to dedicate a portion of your body to a tattoo, it should be worth the pain it will take because it should mean something to you. For a tattoo like the one you describe, that shouldn't take very long. My friend Olivia got a small ohm symbol on her neck and said the actual tattoo didn't even take an hour. It all depends on the intircacy of the design. To heal completely for that smal of a tatoo shouldn't take very long. I know Olivia stopped lotioning hers about a week afterwards and it looks fine. I've never heard of being numbed. My step-dad descrivbed it as getting scratched on a sun burn, and while that hurts, it's not bad enough that you couldn't stand it. Once again, personal thing. I think Olivia's cost 20-40? I can't remember. I jut keep referencing hers because it's about the same size, about 3x3. That's another personal thing. Obviously a place where you're comfortable somebody seeing long enough to put it there. Somewhere where you think it looks well positioned. I Mean really, for that small, you could honestly just print out a picture and start moving it around to see where tyou'd like it. If the needle is clean and sterile, you 8shouldn't* get anything excessive beyond the typical bit of red ness there will be from getting punctured thousands of times with a needle.

Yeah, but how do you differ between civilized(intelligent) animals and non-civilized? Even in our own species there are cultures that westerners would consider uncivilized when, in fact, the culture is just different. So who is to really tell who is right or wrong? It's nothing but cultures assuming supposed superiority when there is no actual guide as to what should be considered right or wrong along all cultural boundaries. So, once again, you're doing nothing but assuming that we are superior to "wild" animals, when to them they are perfectly humane. Just like western cultures assume we're above cultures such as tribes or nomads. So, basically, you can't show me a doctrine that dictates morality that was delegated and agreed upon by all cultures, and until you can, you can take your arguments of civilization and humanity back home because honestly, they don't float. -

Do we catch our meat by ourselves for our own family with our bear hands? If we did, we wouldn't eat that much meat, nor kill so many animals... Well actually, that's debatable. See, you're still basing your ideas on the present and not the big picture. In the past, we used to hunt them down with our hands and simple tools. We did that until we developed a more social nature, when some of, if not all, of the men were sent out hunting. Is that to say the women and children should not eat the meat since they didn't catch it? Then, as time went by, we evolved into not only a social, but an agrarian species as well. We started growing the plant portions of our diet under controlled environments. The next progression from that is we stopped hunting out meat, and began farming IT in a more controlled environment as well. Just like agriculture, you can feed an entire town off of one farm, so for a cattle farm/ranch, you can feed a large number of people off of one farm and slaughter house. So, who are you to say that a perfectly natural evolution of food production methods is wrong? Honestly, the way I see it, it makes COMPLETE sense and is just as natural as bee colonies segmenting their work, lion prides designating certain lions to hunt, etc etc. We just happen to have the intelligance and know-how to take it to the next level. -

A B&M coaster doesn't have a straight section to their drops. When a drop is designed with 1 segment (2 vertices), it gives a real B&M feel and it allowes for more floater air during the drop, which is what B&M really does. He's not emaning it as in perfectly straight. He's talking about the smooth transition between the apex and the valley. Using at least 3 vertecies give you much more control over your drop and can allow you to do many more variations on the simple straight drop. -

Well it also helps that you didn't upload a heartlined coaster when in other threads you admit to not knowing how to use the AHG.... -

yeah, bears can eat berries, too, but they choose to eat more rabbits and fish. Much like I could live off of rice, tofu, and diet Dr. pepper, but i like to have a burger here and there, too. -
