If they did it right and it was included with admission it'd be fine. The zip-line was OK but not worth the added fee vs outside options at similar cost. But a good one included, or really great one for added fee would be nice. -

I think the "cure" is going to prove worse than the disease. I'm seeing zipline places announcing closure now. I've never seen groups larger than a dozen zipping, seems very low risk. Also don't see many old people there. Yesterday was my cutoff the cancel/move my cabin reservation. Now I'm worried the national park is going to close if the trails before I get there Sat. They already closed the campgrounds and bathrooms. -

No mention of Sevier county or Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg. They appear to not have authority like Knoxville and Knox County have. Unclear to what extent the Governor's order can be enforced. No new penalties or crimes defined. http://www.seviervilletn.org/index.php/covid-19-information/2925-joint-press-release-regarding-business-operations-and-covid-19.html Previously they were asking the State Health Department to issue orders, which may have more legal authority. That said, I doubt DW would go against it. Smaller places might though. Still it would be nice for them to update their page. -

I haven't see any mention of May for Dollywood.Web site still says Mar 28. https://www.dollywood.com/Plan-Your-Visit/Coronavirus-Update I doubt that will happen though. -
Heat and humidity and sunshine will slow the spread. We know the family well (SARS, MERS, and the 4 long in circulation that nobody knows by name). UV from sunshine kills it. Heat kills it. Humidity cause it to fall and not stay airborne. The current rising numbers are more about finally getting tests than spread.

They were well behind other parks, but once Disney closed it was just a matter of time before everyone else followed. But I don't think all areas will open at same time. Disney/Universal will be among the last because so my visitors travel from far away. But I expect SF will follow local conditions more closely since they don't get as many that aren't locals.

Wonder if Dolly will still be at the park Friday? And dang it all, I have a cabin for the last weekend of March. I don't like how this is snowballing. -

Is he a coaster fan? Mention the awards DW's coaters have received and the ride videos mentioned earlier. What parks does he like? What coasters? Other rides? -

Not to mention the added cost just to get in (much like Ober). The single rail matches the first one I ever saw video of, Mieders Alpine Coaster. So I expect it to be a new favorite once I get on it. -

I still like the Goat Coaster best but haven't tried the single rail at Anakeesta yet. All are good though (except Ober Gatlinburg is too short for the price). Oh and I haven't tries the new one on Veterans, near Dollywood, Rocky Top. Supposed go be the longest and has tunnels, but the video looks like 4 long lifts with short runs between them. Oh, and full stop brake runs before the 3 mid course lifts. Think I'll pass on it. So Goat Coaster and Smokey Mtn, both in PF on 321. And Gatlinburg and Rowdy Bear in Gatlinburg. Maybe Rail Runner at Anakeesta. -

Not the same. This is you bought the new Olds hydrogen hybrid sports car and it had some problems (that were eventually fixed) Now will you buy the 3yr old model that's a normal gasoline engine that has a stellar reputation. -

What does LR have to do with it? A first of it's kind coaster vs a stock system with 2 successful installations (and a 3rd for 2020) Nothing about RMC's Raptor design is risky. -

My comment to you earlier was wait and see how the planned rework goes. (Which you conveniently didn't quote) They did a section the last off season and in the spring said they planned more this year. So instead if hoping someone was paying attention, as if they had no intention of continuing the work on it, wait and see what they had planned. While it may be a bit rougher than 2-3 years ago, it's still fine in my book. I don't want every woodie to be smooth as steel. Even new they weren't back 50 years ago, and I want to keep that traditional feel. I've also ridden several RMC reworks and they loose a lot of woodie character. Fun rides sure, but not really woodies any more. -

Well they are already reworking it. They said they couldn't do it all at once so maybe wait and see what they do next. My daughter (and me) disagrees completely, she loves it as is. Thanksgiving it was hauling too. Certainly felt faster than at Halloween (or any prior rides over the last 7 yrs). I'd really hate to loose it and RMC would change the character at lot. Maybe you should ride a few of the really rough woodies still, around. Thunderhead ain't one of them.
