  1. Check out the latest pictures of Bizarro over at GADV Outpost from our member Railer... http://www.gadvoutpost.com/home.php?action=mgallery
  2. Xpress is pointless...I found it pretty boring, thank god for the theming inside RnR! Goliath was pretty amazing when I went on it this year, I just think my standards were too high after riding Expedition Geforce two weeks before.
  3. The first one is the Texas Cyclone and the second one is the Texas Giant.
  4. I don't really feel like typing a whole big report, so here it goes. Expedition GeForce is my new number 1, Star Flyers are scary as hell, I miss Intamin Drop Towers, and German dark rides show naked women which is amazing. Onto the pictures... Best drop in the world right there... Damn sun had to be right there the whole time I was there... The trains(no modified T-Bars), the drop, the hills, the bank turns, the speed, the hills, the extreme airtime just made this ride amazing. I'm so glad to have this so close while I'm here! Here's a clip from there dark ride, don't view it if you get offended by animatronics revealing themselves... http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/video/video.php?v=514627073059&ref=mf
  5. They had a billboard up in which it looked like a log flume or some type of water ride was supposed to be mixed in with the coaster.
  6. So, I got off work pretty early today and decided to head to the nearest park from me, which is Wild-und Freitzeitpark Klotten or just Klotten park. It only has one coaster, but I wanted to try that and the Nautic Jet boat out. It was about a 45 minute drive and I used my GPS for the first time since I got it which worked out great. Onto the pictures... The entrance. Right as you walk in there is various birds you can partake to look at... We could of walked down and checked out the animals, but instead I headed for the coaster which is called the Heiße Fahrt. It is a Gerstaurler(sp?) Bobsled coaster. It was pretty crazy to say the least... After that, we headed to check out the animals. They got a big field where they have deer and you can just walk up to them and feed them, I like this picture probably the best. Various animals you can see... Also in the park, they had a bunch on self-operated rides. I only went on the Zipper Ferris Wheel or whatever it's called and the Nautic Jet. Which were both pretty insane I must say... Overall, I had a pretty good time and I'm one credit more towards getting past Bubba again...
  7. U.S., St. Thomas, St. Lucia, St. Martin, Barbados, Antigua, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium so far...
  8. I'll be there as well, my first time going to Europa Park as well.
  9. I believe the drop tower is a Huss model but I'm not sure. It's good, the theming inside in insane an all but the ride itself is not as good as an Intamin tower IMO.
  10. Well, I went to Phantasialand today and it was good stuff, but just really cold. Anyways, onto the pictures... First thing we accomplished was Talacon... Talacon was themed heavily and did not disappoint, it was awesome and yes that is icicles hanging from the mouth(not theming)... Afterwards, we headed on up to Black Mamba which was closed until 12. I actually didn't think it would open with snow being on the tracks. So, we headed over to the drop tower in the park called Mystery Tower. I believe it is a Huss drop tower, it was themed heavily and was actually pretty good. Reminded me of a S&S tower, but I still prefer the Intamin towers the most. While exiting we walked past little kiddies driving snowmobiles and watched one totally flip over. Oh boy... We proceeded to Black Mamba as it was ten minutes to twelve. There was a line outside the entrance and we decided to wait until they opened. I was still unsure of them opening because I didn't see any test runs and with the snow on the tracks I was suspicious. But, they opened right on time and we proceeded to the front row. We had to wait about five trains and finally got on, the station itself and the line is incredible. The theming and how the ride interacts is amazing how they did it. We finally boarded the train and we were off. The ride was incredible, fast paced, smooth and one of the most intense coasters I been on. It never let up speed and it felt like my legs were gonna hit something the whole time. Amazing! Enough of the Black Mamba goodness, moving along... We headed to the Escape from Atlantis ride which is basically a simulator just like Back to the Future. It was rough, jerky and pretty boring but it got us out of the cold so it was alright. Plus it was in this Epcot like dome building... Then went and watched the Pirate 4D show right next door, but since it being in German and all had no idea what the story was behind it. But the effects and everything were really well done and it looked like a humorous show of how everyone else in the theater liked it. So then knowing that Winjas were right nearby, we headed over there to check them out. Winjas is by far probably one of the most fun I ever had on a roller coaster. I was laughing the whole time and both sides were great, especially the neat trick it does at the beginning and at the end. Awesome ride! I got a nice cappuccino on the way out to warm up a bit and then headed to the Temple of the Nighthawk. Didn't take any pictures of it because it's indoors and it really wasn't anything spectacular. After wards, got some bratwurst and fries and sat down for a bit before hitting up the final credit of the day. Anywho, the ride was actually pretty good. It had three lift hills and was pretty well paced! The last part of the ride is my favorite and it's up there with Big Thunder IMO. That's about it, we hit Black Mamba twice more and then left because it was just too cold out. I'll be back before they close for the winter again to hit up the rides I missed. I'll end this with just some random pictures... And yours truly...
  11. As long as the launch is as good as Ka's and TTD, I won't care... I'll definitely be checking this out this spring!
  12. It was really nice and the snow was all powder, I couldn't make a snowball. It was good for falling alot!
  13. So from the base they have trips that you can sign up and go on, well last week there was a flyer for a trip to Holland to go snowboarding in an indoor Ski arena. So, me and my friend signed up and it was a blast. This was my first time snowboarding and I had some pretty nasty spills but I was getting the hang of it throughout the end and they had some good beer!!! Well here's some pictures! Here is the board I got to rent for only 20 bucks! Snowworld had indoor slopes, a gym, two restaurants, and a hotel! Really nice place! The smallest hill, which I did a complete face dive into the snow the second time down because some guy cut in front of me! This was the medium hill, it was good because at the end they had padding at the wall so if you couldn't stop(which I couldn't at first) you just slam into the wall and you were all good. I fell right after that... Me trying to act like I'm good or something... The two big hills which also had jumps and stuff in the middle. We did this last and my friend collided with some guy, idiot! ;D It's pretty high up, there's a ski lift that takes you to the top. Some nice European beer! This beer was from Belgium, it was pretty bitter. Oh yeah, it was really cold inside there! Well, that's all I really took from the trip. But, I had a blast and I'm feeling it right now from all the falls I encountered last night. Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!
  14. Has anyone been to Phantasialand's winter event last year? Just curious what rides are open and when the best time to go is? I just moved over to Germany and want to hit it up and it would be great if someone knew more about it.
  15. The Mississippi Gulf Coast is deserted right now, it's pretty scary...
  16. I'm on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi down in Biloxi. I'm here at Keesler AFB for Tech School and the Air Force is taking this very seriously and were probaly going to be sheltered or evacuated somewhere else. People are going crazy down here because there STILL rebuilding from Katrina and if this rolls through it will destroy everything they have tried so hard to rebuild to make the city how it looked before Katrina came in. I hope it doesn't hit us...
