  1. Nice job on the TR Nicole. I am not a big fan of the waterparks, but you make it look very inviting. I have never been to Darien Lake.
  2. Great TR Ted! That was a lot of travelling. Glad to hear you both made it back safely.
  3. Great TR Mark! I am surprised that you didn't like Cornball Express. We really liked it and it gives some unexpected airtime. It's great to see your pictures! You really take some awesome photos.
  4. Nice TR. You always detail the park so well, even if it is good or bad. Hopefully we'll get up to the northeast at some point. This gives me a good look at the parks. Thanks!
  5. ^Lori, thanks for the info on the Smashed Pennies at Holiday World. I am looking forward to collecting them!
  6. We ended up getting a great deal from the hotel for tickets at Idlewild and a discount off the room, just like at Kennywood. The discounts were so great that it was like a buy one, get one free. The day wouldn’t start out all that great though. It was raining and pretty much a challenge to get through the park. The rain would be on and off the rest of the day. Lakemont Park had $1 Wednesdays. It only cost us $4 to get into the park and get all day ride bands. Even with the rain, we were able to ride Leap the Dips and Skyliner. It is a really great little park. Thanks for reading the Trip Report! Finally, out to dinner. Drinking some beers from Victory! Big baby. Gyendolynne's sister, Heather, combing the dog. We leave our day the same way we entered it. There was such a downpour as we were leaving Lakemont and for the first part of our drive back to Fredericksburg. I hope you enjoyed the trip report. I will post just a few home pics. $1 Wednesdays also meant $1 kettlecorn. Coming down. I am in the front seat all by myself! The first drop provided some good airtime. There were no seatbelts, so I got a great lift. YAY!!! The view of the ballpark from the lift hill. Up the lift hill. Happy to be riding. 3 can fit in a seat. Go Curve! Skyliner was running great! Toboggan wasn't running due to the rain. No seatbelts, no lapbar. A couple of photos of the track. Here we go... We're really excited that it isn't raining and that we don't have those ponchos on. Up the lift hill. We're ready to ride! I know we didn't just enter 6-Flags! I can't believe he is texting. First, some historical references. Hey Gyendolynne, what do you think about getting to ride the oldest rollercoaster? Onto Lakemont park where they have $1 Wednesdays! It is $1 to get into the park and $1 for all day ride tickets. $0 for parking. I will leave Idlewild with everyone's favorite picture. I knew I was afraid of the Jack in the Box for a reason. Some things just don't look right. Actually, little Red Riding Hood scared us because we weren't expecting anyone to be in there. Aaaaaahhhhh! The big bad wolf! Be afraid. I tried this at Disneyland and it didn't work there either! The 3 little bears' house. I know I can get that knife! The good ship Lollipop Along came a spider... Hi Mother Goose. The next few photos are of Story Book Forest. Some will have captions, some won't. I hope you enjoy the photos! This area is really neat too. We took a lot of pictures here because the rain finally stopped. I really like this area of the park. We didn't take too many photos here because it was still raining. Yes, we're riding one of the oldest carousels...again. They're all there! Oh my! Your invited to the castle! Gyendolynne doesn't know what she is in for. Oh man, I was just on this last year. Come along, come along... Okay... More interesting facts. The look from the bridge, yes there are a lot of raindrops still coming down. Time for Raccoon Lagoon. Frustration at the end of the ride. I kept trying anyway. Absolutely no snapping! I'll ride, Gyendolynne will watch. Let's get on their new ride. It's not raining that bad now, but it hasn't stopped. A little Rollo Coaster history. Oh well, we'll just get ponchos on and ride. As long as the rides are running. Man, it just won't friggin' stop!!! I don't know if I have to go to the bathroom bad enough to run through this. 15 minutes later, it started coming down harder. We're dry though...for the moment. The YMCA kids running from the picnic area to the bathrooms and back! This is what the park looked like 5 minutes later. Boy, this looks familiar for some reason. The rain is on the way though.
  7. ^^Thanks Justin! ^Bobafett - Jack Morey was talking about the rollercoaster at lunch time at the rendezvous picnic pavilion. He was looking towards the other pier (North) and saying that he wanted to connect a rollercoaster between the two piers. I think it is between the old Hunt's pier (next to where the Nor'Easter is located) and the pier we were at for lunch. Unfortunately we didn't stay for the group discussion on this. We really did have a great time at Wildwood and we would go again if we lived closer. I don't know when we will get a chance to go to Philly again. Thanks for the comments thought and the informative website!
  8. Thanks for the photos Ted. Lori, We have done an Ohio trip, I just didn't know about the pennies... Little Coaster Girl, I had no idea you could take your dog with you. That sounds interesting and scary at the same time. BeemerBoy asked about my smashed penny collection so I thought that I would take a picture of it. I haven't added many of them to the passports, but I will when I have the time. Here I am with the whole pile of pennies. Here's the collection. Many of them are still in a couple of bags. The "smashed penny kit" is on the right.
  9. The hotel we stayed at by Kennywood had a special discount for the park. This turned out to be a great deal. We arrived at the park before 10:30am. The rides don’t open until 11am, so we were able to go around the park without a big crowd. Once the rides opened, we got on everything! I won’t bore you with all the details of the rides. Ted and Catrina arrived in early afternoon. The rest of the day went great! They showed us around and told us a lot about Kennywood. Thanks so much for coming out to meet up with us! It was great to see both of you. Every day should end with a tub with jets! Bye Kennywood. Hopefully we'll see you again sometime. There are a lot of old items here, but you really wouldn't know it by looking at them. Just some info. Kangaroo hop. We were definitely pushing the weight limit with me on this ride. Yes he was. Once again, one of the oldest carousels is here. Funny An actual camera in the alien's hands. But it's still a disk-o. There's a lot of nice theming. Onto their new ride. Phantom Jr. See, I am a little dry. Ted, block all the water please. Coming down... Going up... Hey Ted, you don't get wet on this, right? Rick and Ted in line for the log ride. A second ride on Jack Rabbit. YAY! Next up.... I don't think we would have ridden half the rides you both got us on if you didn't show up. Here we are in line for Garfield. Hey, look who's here. Ted & Catrina came out to join us. Thanks for coming and showing us around. Now for a swing. I found this funny. This wasn't his splash, but it was the boat splash here. It seriously has to be one of the biggest. Trust me, he's in the middle there and he makes it. and now for the conclusion, I shall jump from this dizzy height into 10 feet of water. I can't swim! Weigh the anchor. Aaarrgh Captain, should we dive, or dive, or dive? Here's the narrator. Apparently it rains every July 29th in one of the counties here. They have 10 contestants, aged 15-17, try to win the pageant. No Jahan I didn't get any phone numbers for you. Before the show, there was a Miss Rain Day competition. Aaaarrrgh! Everyone is going with the pirate theme. We took some time to watch the dive show after lunch. Front row on Racer though. Back row please! Down the first drop. Time for Jack Rabbit. I don't know why the girl in the front was already grabbing her head. The flyers go right over your head when your on the bridge by Jack Rabbit and Racer. Sure, all smiles now. We are actually in the last row too. The drops gave Gyendolynne some unexpected airtime. Mainly because I didn't tell her about it. :0 YAY! Another woodie. I think this old couple might be Gyendolynne and I in about 40 years. Only complaint at this park. There should be fans in the queue area. It gets extremely hot up there. Gyendolynne looks scared. I think she is more worried that there aren't any fans in the queue area upstairs. Seriously, why aren't there any fans!!!! This was operating and we rode it. The ride op is reading Catch-22. I actually couldn't believe this, but I guess you have to catch up on your reading sometime. Our first ride of the day. We thought this picture might turn out nice. I would like to ride Thunderbolt with Kenny. Over by the mine train, I think. I have only been here twice, but this has to be the a light crowd. See, I told you it was early! There's Jack Rabbit from across the way. Some history for everyone. Same here, but you can see what Kennywood looks like with no one in the park yet. Here we are at Jack Rabbit. We'll get on this later on in the day. We were here too early. The rides don't get going until 11am. Hey Cowboy Joe, did you ever hear the one about....just swappin' yarns. It looks like we're going the right way. We first have to go under the road to get into the park. That's Phantom's Revenge in the background. Hey, we're here for another thrill packed day at an amusement park!
  10. I'm going to give a few responses to some of the comments/questions. Ted - I think going to DelGrosso's during the Italian food festival would be the best time to go. Maybe we'll do it again. Gloria in Italian should be interesting to hear. Erik - Yes, we did make it. We also got to Kennywood, Idlewild, and Lakemont. The pictures and report should be up soon. Schmoofy - We didn't ask about when the Flying Turns is going to be open, but I'm sure they would say, "2 weeks." It is an inside construction joke. Anyone that saw Money Pit with Tom Hanks would know what I am talking about. Beemer - I honestly have no idea how many smashed pennies I have. I do have around 10 of those passport books filled. They have smashed quarters in them too! I have a lot of pennies in a box at the moment. I need to get a few more passports. Maybe I'll take a picture of them later. The one collection that I didn't get all of was Disneyland's 50th anniversary. Too many machines were broke. Lori - You have a smashed penny from the Ohio Turnpike??? I would never have looked for one there. ECZenith - Dante's Dungeon didn't do it for us. Man that's a lot of D's. The ride just didn't seem all that great. Twisterbret - I hope you had a good time at the event, we did. The staff at Morey's Piers is great! Once again, depending on time, I hope to get this TR up and finished soon.
  11. What a great park! We really enjoyed this place. I know so many people talk about it and rave about everything here, but it is absolutely incredible. This is a must park to go to. Phoenix has quite a bit of airtime. Twister is pretty fast and the Flyers snap great. The Grand Carousel is a classic with grabbing for the rings. I only know of Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk that has this too. Knoebel’s history museum is a must see. They have signs all over the park about the floods they have survived. The sky ride is really neat too. Thanks for all the tips Derek. On our way to Pittsburgh for Kennywood, we stopped off at DelGrosso’s just north of Altoona. We rode their mouse ride and took some pictures. They have one of the oldest carousels there. That night we stayed pretty close to Kennywood and the hotel had a package deal with a discount off the room and discount tickets! Here is a shot of the road you come in on from the bridge. We were crossing it as we were leaving. Until the next update. A photo of their Wacky Worm. I didn't buy any shotglasses though. What's in the cupboard? We bought some salsa. Yes, we are from California. and a classic carousel. Actually one of the oldest ones. I think everyone says they have one of the oldest ones. Flying Bob's, we love these rides... Spinning ride, with a kid in full sprint... They have bumper cars... Tehee Nicely themed. We're here for the Crazy Mouse. Can I count this as 2 because I didn't get on the one at Steel Pier? We declined to ride the ship though. Yep, a ship ride. The castle in the back is the entrance to their kiddie area. This place is known for its tomato sauce, pizza, spaghetti, etc. I'm thinking that if the people at Dorney could see how empty this park it, they would make the drive. They have a water park there too. Hello DelGrosso's. This is a neat little park in Tipton, just north of Altoona. Good-bye Elysburg. Last stop on the way out. Some of the camping. The park is really neat with houses that are actually within the park. Seriously, this guy floors the train through the 1 mile of track. Here we are, ready to ride the FASTEST train I have ever been on. Real steam locomotive. This ride always seems cool when your watching it, but then it's just, meh. I believe that is Twister off in the distance. This ride gives a really good overall view of the park. There's Phoenix. Coming back down. I can't see the forest through the trees. Laugh and the world laughs with you.....you should know the rest. Is that Space Mountain? We rode the skyride, which was a major accomplishment since I have a fear of heights and a major fear of these rides. Anyone know where I can get some bread? We thought this puppy was cute. Mailing postcards home. No, this isn't from Knoebel's with love. People walking their dog through the park. Just clean up after them! I had a cheeseburger. I wish I would have had the pizza! We did get ice-cream later on. Lunch time, Gyendolynne had crab cakes. It was a special of the day. Hey guys, when are you going to be done? Back to Flying Turns for some photos and video. Next up, make the fliers snap! Here's our on-ride photo. Back to Twister for our ride. I don't know what that kid is yawning about. This one flies right by you while you're waiting in line. We really like these rides. Nice queue for Phoenix! We rode it twice. First ride and plenty of airtime. Twister wasn't running yet. Pretty cool, you can bring your dog to the park. Knoebel's has a ton of smashed penny machines and they tell you where the rest of them are! Here they are, still working on Flying Turns. Hi Gyendolynne! We had to get these photos. Although we didn't take any flood photos. Just clownin' around! Yes, the sign is inside the park, not at the entrance.
  12. ^Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the Pirate ship skyride, but it looked very similar to the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland. Thanks for all the responses! I will hopefully get the rest of the report up tonight. I might only be able to add Knoebel's depending on time.
  13. We like to take in History when we can on our trips. Today we would go to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We arrived early and beat the crowds. We were a little surprised by this because it was 4th of July weekend. We got our tickets for the Independence Hall tour and went to see the Liberty Bell. The history here is incredible. I won’t bore you with anymore of this. After the tour, we went to Hard Rock Café to get our souvenirs and then went to meet up with TPR’s Derek Ruth for Victory Brewing and a BONUS brewery! Victory was awesome and Derek is a great tour guide. We went to the Drafting House also since it is so close. It is in the top 50 places to have a beer. Derek led the way to Dorney Park after the breweries. Dorney was crowded, but everyone was at the water park. We were able to ride Hydra in about 10-15 minutes and then we rode Steel Force. It was only a 1 -2 train wait. Thanks Derek for all the help! We stayed in Danville that night on our way to Knoebel’s the next day. Here is our on-ride photo on Hydra. Sometimes the most random things are entertaining. Gyendolynne and Derek studying up on their Dorney history. There will be a test later on. We rode Steel Force next. I think Derek looks way to happy. Is he really at Dorney? Couple more of Hydra. He does look excited about it. I might have someone else hooked. Ooooh.... We needed to ride Hydra because it wasn't built the last time we were here. Next stop, Dorney. Hi Nicole! My second beer was Founders. Gyendolynne had a raspberry flavored beer. Plenty of beers to choose from. Next stop, the Drafting Room. Number 45 on the list. What every house needs. Getting a case of beer for the rest of the trip. Self-explanatory. Thanks for the tour. However, if Derek was around, you would go to Victory Brewery instead. Of course, when they were done signing the Declaration of Independence, they went to the Hard Rock Cafe. Piano. They would have formal balls and dining here. Stairs... The upstairs of Independence Hall. Another meeting room. Washington over saw it in this chair. This is where they argued about the Bill of Rights. It's also where they would sign the document. Still the old style look. Other meeting areas for the congress. We thought this looked impressive. Upstairs was where the different houses would meet, senate, etc. Washington actually sat in that chair back there. Philly's famous son. The building had to be expanded as they added onto the congress and this was the spot where it was expanded from. The Ranger did a great job! This is where the first congress would meet and where Washington was sworn in as our first President. Here it is from the other side. Me in the front from the side. Independence Hall. There I am!!! There's the Liberty Bell and yes, that's my arm. More history. We walked through the whole area. I filmed most of it. Our next stop was the Liberty Bell. This has more information on the President's house. They have a lot of street carriages in the area. It was just too hot to ride one and we had limited time too. This is where the early President's house was. They are rebuilding it.
  14. Today was a big day. We were going to Morey’s Piers for Coastin’ by the Ocean, and then we were heading up the shore to Ocean City and ending our day in Atlantic City. We started out early at 5:30am from Fredericksburg and arriving at 10:30am at Morey’s Piers. It was the first year that they were holding an event like this and their staff didn’t disappoint. The piers are the cleanest we have ever been to. The staff was constantly cleaning if they weren’t loading riders or checking the queue lines. The ride ops did a great job too. For those that don’t know, Morey’s Piers is family owned. Jack Morey is the current owner of the 3 piers (Surfside Pier, Mariner’s Landing Pier, and Adventure Pier). The event started at Surfside Pier with ERT on AtmosFEAR (drop tower), Great Nor’Easter, DooWopper, and Dante’s Dungeon (dark ride). You need to ride AtmosFEAR a couple of times to listen to the different tracks that play. The Great Nor’Easter is a looping, corkscrew coaster that goes through their water park that is at the end of this pier. DooWopper is a mouse coaster themed to old time cars and Dante’s Dungeon is a dark ride with scary things jumping out. There was a bonus ERT on Zoom Phloom, which is an interesting log ride. The ride takes you down a small, less splashy side, then you go under the boardwalk (yes, the song “under the boardwalk” plays and it is interestingly themed, I have no pictures though) and then you head back up for their next steeper, more splashy drop. Yes, you do get wet! Mariner’s landing was our next stop. I rode Sea Serpent, a boomerang ride. We also rode their Rollie Coaster. Lunch was provided as part of the event at the Rendezvous Beach Picnic Pavilion, which is at the end of the pier and another water park is there too. This one is called Raging Waters. Jack Morey spoke at the lunch along with a couple of other enthusiasts. They have a dark ride on this pier call Pirates of Wildwood. It is in 3D and I think this is a take off of Pirates of the Caribbean. They also have a few more flat rides. The final pier is Adventure Pier. Here is where they have their best coaster, Great White. It is actually a neat wood coaster with some airtime. We went through their Mummy 3D maze before we rode this ride. It is a must miss. We left and didn’t come back for the rest of the event. They had ERT on Great White from 12:30am-1:30am and then a focus group the next day for ideas on building a coaster connecting 2 piers. It sounds interesting! We went up the shore to Ocean City for Playland’s Castaway Cove and Gillian’s Wonderland Pier. Both places have 3 coasters along with assorted flat rides. Gyendolynne rode the swings and we both rode the drop tower. Next, we finally ended up at Atlantic City. I wanted to ride their Crazy Mouse ride on the Steel Pier, but it was stuck on the lift hill. We went to Hard Rock Café for dinner and then to the hotel. Below are the pictures. That does say the USS Arizona. Day 2 is next.....stay tuned. These next few pictures were in the lobby of the hotel. They looked pretty neat. This one was just ho-hummm. We still like San Antonio's on the Riverwalk the best! Can't get enough Hard Rock Cafes. There was another reason why we stopped here. They're mouse coaster wasn't even running...GRRRR!!!! Next stop, Atlantic City. A very dirty place and traffic was terrible. See???? Gyendolynne rode the swings alone though. She also didn't want to seem too pathetic in riding a kiddie coaster, yep I rode by myself and it got caught on the lift hill! Gyendolynne didn't want her brains scrambled, so I rode by myself. Next coaster with some loops. Taboggan style coaster. Not the Taboggan though. They have a neat carousel too. Complete with a rabbit instead of a horse! First stop.... Hey, we made it! Especially in the heat. It's a bit of a walk. We headed back to Playland's Castaway Cove next. Stay dry! Good-bye Gyendolynne... Of course, there is a log ride. Kiddie Coaster. Swings. Everyone has a ship. The Carousel. This is just in off of the boardwalk. Then we took their skyride to get a good overview of the park. Here we are on their train coaster. They have some great rides here and a nice staff. I always see the smashed penny machines instead. This is what you see once you get in off the boardwalk. Gillian's Wonderland, we're here! We rode this before we rode Great White. After that, we headed to Ocean City for a couple more piers. So I stuck my head in the sharks mouth instead. We made it to our third pier for Great White. It wasn't open yet though. Here is another one of their dark rides. I think they tried to do a Pirates of the Caribbean in 3D here. I just can't believe how far this is in the heat. Here is a shot of Great White from the pier. The next couple of shots are of the long distance to walk to get to the beach. Another shot of the waterpark. There was a pirate themed ship skyride that took you around the waterpark too. I think that is the reason I rode alone. There was also some great flat rides. I rode this one right after lunch. I am the only one on it. They had a good water park at the end of both of the piers. This one is called Raging Waters. I had this funky popsicle Jack Morey spoke at lunch time. Gyendolynne getting her feet massaged. This is one of the best things ever! More smashed pennies. It's their boomerang coaster. Time to ride Sea Serpent I think that's a long way to the beach, but I guess I am kinda spoiled out here in California. On our way to the next pier. Smashed pennies, you'll see a lot of this. Some Classics. They had a pretty good car show on the Boardwalk as well. This was where you check-in for the event. There was a bonus ERT on Zoom Phloom and we did get wet. Is that who makes it? Neat theming though. Here's DooWopper, a mouse style ride. Coming down. Going up!!! I rode AtmosFEAR a couple of times though. We had ERT on this dark ride, but only rode it once. See, I told you it was me! That's my feet in the back row. We made it to the Great Nor'Easter. The Delaware Memorial Bridge. I think.... Early morning, sun is rising over DC.
  15. Coaster Palooza 2007 continues. The dates below have where we went and what we did. There will be a brief re-cap and then the pictures. I hope you enjoy them. Day 0 (just because everyone has one on their trips): Kings Dominion Day 1: Morey’s Piers, Ocean City Piers, Atlantic City Day 2: Philadelphia, Victory Brewing, Drafting Room, Dorney and Derek! Day 3: Knoebel’s, DelGrosso’s Day 4: Kennywood, Ted & Catrina Day 5: Idlewild, Lakemont and Rain!!!! Miscellaneous family/home pictures Day 0 Re-cap: We came out to Fredericksburg to visit Gyendolynne’s family for 4th of July Holiday and to continue our Coaster Palooza 2007 tour. The Palooza didn’t “officially” start until Saturday, July 7th, but we couldn’t resist heading to Kings Dominion on July 5th. We weren’t expecting much because it is 4th of July weekend, but the crowds were relatively light and we arrived around 12 noon! We only wanted/needed to ride Rebel Yell (backwards), Hurler, Grizzly, and Italian Job Turbo Coaster. All of them were running single trains except for Italian Job. Grizzly however would get its second train when we were next to ride. We had to wait another 15-20 minutes for this! We only spent around 2-3 hours there, but it was plenty of time for us. Here are the photos. Grizzly, we were happy at this moment until they decided to add the second train while we were next in line. At that point we had to wait another 15-20 minutes! Ricochet was testing while we waited in line for Hurler. Just us! Full queue shot. Next up... Rebel Yell backwards queue. About a 10-15 minute wait. Nope, not running, but it was testing later in the day. Had to have a shot of the mini coopers First stop. This wasn't here the last time. I like this one a little better than Kings Island. I think it's just because of the speakers. Yep, still has Paramount in there. I wonder when they will take it out of the sign.
  16. Great report Ted. I am glad to see you are back to work. It must be nice to be so close to so many great parks.
  17. I haven't posted in here in a while, but after meeting up with Derek, I thought I would post these pics. Our trip report should be up soon with Coaster Palooza 2007 continuing!!! A Sammy last night at the Log Cabin. Tastes great! Thanks again man. After we got back to the house, Gyendolynne's sister and I sampled the Hop Devil and Pils. I know there isn't any drinking here, but Derek is saying HI to Nicole. My second drink, I believe this was the Founders. Derek posted what we drank. I had the Founders and Gyendolynne drank a Raspberry fruity thingy. Next stop, Drafting House. Table full of happy drinkers. Thanks Derek for the tour. Heading past Philly, we didn't drink at HRC, but at Victory. Our first stop was Hard Rock Cafe Atlantic City. I know, not a brewery.
  18. Great TR Ryan! I have to head over there soon too. I doubt if I will be able to get any of the fun stuff though (krusty-o's, etc.)
  19. Looks like a great trip Derek! We're looking forward to the Jersey piers, but we won't get up to the north ones this year. I am also glad to hear that SFGAdv is having their park do the right things, unlike SFNE. Thanks for the detailed reports!
  20. ^Thanks for the detailing of the park's operations. We are going there the first weekend in August and I am setting my standards extremely low! We have a wedding to go to and it is only 30 minutes from SFNE. I was excited, but now I am concerned that we won't be able to get on everything. We don't have a full day there.
  21. Hey Soren, It was great meeting you at Epcot and even better hangin' out with you, Alessandra, Erik, and Leanne at SFMM. I hope you can make it back to Orlando. Soren's best immitation of Superman! This wasn't one of your most comfortable places I believe. Heading up the sky tower. Even though he probably enjoyed it. I think she got him back with the sunscreen a little later. I believe Soren was enjoying the fact that Alessandra was having so much difficulty getting out of Colosus. Soren, Alessandra and Erik taking photos.
  22. Matt, is it possible to take pictures during the tour? I have been to a couple of places that won't let you take pictures on the inside...Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame is one. If you can take pictures, do you have a couple to post? Thanks man!
  23. ^^We aren't planning on going to CoasterMania, maybe next year. We're going to Fredericksburg, Virginia on July 4th for a couple days and then go to New Jersey and Pennsylvania before heading back Fredericksburg. Early August we're going to Massachusetts for a wedding and SFNE. Hopefully we'll see you at another park sometime. It was a lot of fun hanging out. I wanted to take a picture of the quarter, but time got away from me. ^I appreciate that Justin! The Holiwood Nights event is a really great time to go. Those 3 woodies at night are terrific.
  24. The last set of pictures is from Louisville Slugger. This place is better than what I thought it would be. If you go to Louisville, and like baseball, this is a must stop. We didn't get to go on the tour though because we didn't have enough time before our flight. Oh well, next time. and this ends our tour and our Coaster Palooza for this round. See you in July from..... Another shot from outside. They had their own display. Famous radio personalities. All these bats were over your head in this room. Here is where the tour starts when you go into the mill. The mannequins were so life like. There were quite a few Babe Ruth displays. Advertising that Louisville Slugger had 9 ballplayers signed with them. Babe Ruth's bat contract. More good wood. The bambino's bat. It is actually broke. Here I am in the dug-out helping give advice from Casey Stengel to Mickey Mantle. Great time! I'm pointing at Mickey Mantle's bat. I'm ready to give some pointers here. When you go through the museum, they have a really neat baseball diamond with a full simulated infield complete with dug-outs. The main man! They had this huge glove as a display in one area. More lumber... There was a wall with all the players that use their bats and another plaque of those that made it to the Hall of Fame. I love Peanuts Tallest bat in the world! Here's my first look at the factory. As you walk up to LS, they have these bats along the walkway. Here is the place.
  25. ^Great to hear from you! I am looking forward to your TR at Indiana Beach and Cedar Point. I will post the rest of the pictures tonight...I hope!
