  1. Don't do it! When we went last year we ingested on recommendation by our friends from Cincy who swear by Skyline chili, said it was a Cincy must and Said that it was great. So we went and ordered what we thought would be chili and were served what seemed to be some pre-digested, finely pureed meat product (With a hint of cumin) with some form of artificial cheese substance on top . I am very tolerant with food and can eat just about anything but this is just plain old awful food. Anyone who can say this stuff is good is palate deaf. I am amazed there are multiple locations that sell it and it is also sold in cans (similar to Alpo by the way) at your local supermarket. Eat at your own risk.
  2. It took 1 hour 40 minutes or so on a Sunday just after a heavy rainfall in August.
  3. Nitro, last Wednesday. It was a walk on day at Great Adventure and my family and I finished the day with Nitro, Congo river, repeat twice more then Nitro. It was a hot day and we all new these were are last rides of the year most likely, so it was time to marathon away.
  4. Joker, Great adventure last Monday.
  5. there was no hand stamp re-entry all 3 days we went. app or pass only at the re-entry gate.
  6. I was there Sunday and Monday also and was suprised so many were wearing masks. Social distancing however does not exist here at all. On a side note for those in our boat of coming from another, closed six flags park (Ours, Darien Lake) I had A chat online about using our season passes without a prior visit to our home park and using them elsewhere and was told that is being allowed this year, however, it was a bit of a hassle on our second day as our passes were not scanning as valid even though they were. If you are in this situation, ask for a supervisor and they will check it out and let you enter. It cost us about 15 minutes extra to enter and re-entry was also a problem. I suggest stopping at guest services prior to re-entry and with a little patience and another supervisor visit (another 15 minutes extra) they issued comp tickets for re-entry. You will have to do this every time and suggest planning for this. On a more positive note, everything was running and ops were better than we expected. This was my families first visit here in 9 years and you can forget how non stop aggressive fantastic El Toro is. Nitro is stil my #2 B&M hyper and how much fun this park is. We are off to the park now for our 3rd and final day and hope it goes great.
  7. Yes, agreed, I drive 5 hours to get the point, so a 10-15 minute trip to a good hotel is definitively worth it to me and my family. there are really good hotels there by Milan Rd. and rte. 2. Hampton Inn has been a go to for us and If you don't mind a 15- 20 minute commute, there is a really good Radisson Inn and suites and another even better Hampton Inn right by Milan and The turnpike. All in the same price range.
  8. CP also has their own Intamin shop on site maintaining the 4 coasters and rapids ride plus whatever else is Intamin related. I do not think any other park has that available.
  9. Sharktums for president please and Nina Klemp loves this !
  10. If anyone really needs to see where current progress is at you can go here. https://www.weatherbug.com/weather-camera/?cam=MSNKS
  11. Most definitely this is due to pain. This is clearly the scariest thing at the park during fright fest.
  12. Every year I go to wonderland and I am only really disappointed about the available schwag. This year I was determined to get a hat or shirt and there is just not much to choose from. I guess it's just not Wonderlands thing. Leviathan does have a shop at exit but it is not so great (such a great logo and such a poor selection), Yukon's shop had even fewer available choices (new coaster, I get it, but still). As for enhanced licence, easy process, show licence, scan licence, answer a couple questions , and enjoy Canada. Have fun, merchandise aside, this is a great park and FL+ is the best here for the top rides. as a CP regular this place is a walk on with it in comparison.

  14. My annual Canada's Wonderland day on Tuesday. Last year, when entering the park the woman checking my pass said she needed to see my season pass or a ticket after I handed her my Platinum pass. I just find it amusing that outside of Cedar Point I get looked at funny when presenting my platinum pass (It also happened at kings Island last year at early entry and at Dorney the year before).
  15. There's room. Also, the newer compact coaster stuff can be very quiet and take up little space, just saying.
  16. I can imagine them putting a coaster or two and some Cedar Fair stuff in both parks in Texas and slowly taking an little aim at the six flags monopoly in the region.
  17. Yes, do this. You select a all day pin and it's pretty easy to move around. I also travel with four and we move to a area as a group but do different things and the girls can carry around all their crap with them and have a place nearby to store said crap. the bunnies near SV, Valravn, Rougarou and Gatekeeper are right at the ride. A little travel for Maverick and Raptor and TTD's bunnies are at the entrance only. They are also good so as not to waste a beer you can't chug before a short ride. Traveling bunnies are a must for me and well worth the 10 bucks IMO.
  18. Nightmare at phantom cave, Thrillbilly and Twister.
  19. Boy: Viper, Hagrid, Maverick, Phoenix, Tatsu, Hulk, Hades, Kumba and Comet. Girl: Medusa, Raven, Manta, Sheikra, Hellcat, Anaconda and Millie. Space Mountain and Ninja (either sex).
  20. That was the best ride day ever at CP (6/3/2017) in forever. My family and I drove 5 hours in the pouring rain for our 4 day annual spring trip and arrived about 2:30 thinking it was going be a bust because of a tropical storm warning . Rain stopped right as we arrived. We thought the park was closed for some reason as there were only 2 rows of parking filled. In fact, every ride was open and every ride was fully staffed running 3 trains on everything. Dragster had to wait for riders to operate all 3 times we rode it. By 6:30 my group was so tired of walking to and directly onto every ride that the adults decided to go to surf lounge and abuse the best ride in the park. The rides that night after Surf Lounge were awesome with a super fine mist amplifying the night rides (Valravn at night with that super fine mist, Oh my, and Millennium force OMG) and no lines, full staff and all trains (gotta love CP for that alone when its slow). Surf bar was the star attraction that evening as there were no lines, a good and friendly crowd and time to spare ( Oh and adult beverages and great service).
  21. There was no exaggeration of operations on opening day by the way, By anyone who posted. No one posting here is walking into the park opening day for the for first time and no one will ever confuse DL for WDW ever. It was just was a bad opening day, that's all. I believe most regulars know things will improve and they have already in just the first week. I am most happy for a couple rides on a couple of good coasters after a long off season, I am just very disappointed that there seemed to be no effort by the park opening day to encourage hope.
  22. The park had the problem of the train not stopping where it was supposed to on the magnetic brakes from what one of operators told me a couple years ago right after they got the new train. So rain = no running.
  23. woo hoo new sign. Quick opening day trip report. Got there about 10:45 and first 3 rows of parking are now for + members. Waited in line a good 1/2 hour to get into park (member line was longer). Went straight to ride of steel for obligatory front row first ride of season. ROS promptly opened at 11:00 and at 5 trains back we were on at 11:45 (stupid slow). The ride however was especially smoother than usual, although a little slow. We then went to check out Kale and Carrots (Tantrum) but no luck. In fact only coasters open were the effing Vecoma's and the so called coaster Rolling Thunder. Viper started to run a little later but line was a full station wait and then it eventually went down so no luck there either. Time to take a walk around and take some pictures. Motocoaster was down all day as well as Predator. At one point, the only coasters running were the effing Vekoma's. Even ROS was down due to a very very light mist. after 3PM, Kale and carrots was open so we braved the 30 minute line for 30 seconds of happiness. The Tantrum crew is the best one in the park by far and gives me a slight hope for the future (But not really) . Eventually got on Viper and then got 2 back car rides on ROS. ops got a little better as the day went on but with 20 minute waits with half empty que's it was still a kinda disapointing opening day. I do not expect a lot on opening day but I was not expecting this little. Now on to some pictures. first train of the day. SBNO (Thank God) new lumber for Predator (Hopefully for kindling.) one of the last operating enterprise rides . The kid shows how we all feel. newly available shwag. There are people who ride this because they want to I've been told. glad I am not a member. Blast off. Or not. 2 sets of new wheels on boomerang. oh no you don't. You can't trick me by putting new shiny lumber on this POS. Still off limits. There she is. Ms. Cleo says "I see you for spare parts only". Finally, something positive. If they keep removing pieces, nobody will even know it existed. Green train is my favorite. Moose on the Loose was running one train ops. Nothing in a kids area should ever be named this. Finally bliss. Southern tier IPA. Well, thats a wrap. Hopefully things will improve. Chhers.
  24. Oh and there is good lodging around the Metropolitan Center near Wonderland, I was able to find rooms around your price, Montreal (downtown) also. New York and PA even cheaper.
