yes, they could easily build new warehouses, but where? It really doesn't work if you have to cross the street to experience half of haunt. They did file a permit to remove the Church of Reflections off property for future park expansion, but that's right next to Soak City. I think if anything that might be where a multi-level parking lot might go, freeing up space on the main plot. They could then remove the parking lot next to the hotel and move maintenance buildings across Western. But the problem remains for haunt. In my opinion, Cedar Fair is missing the boat if they aren't actually looking at ways to expand the park and exploit their location in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world. Market cap is what matters and Disney and now USH are both proving how high that cap can go in this region. Knott's above every single other Cedar Fair park has the potential to be an absolute giant. Disneyland has 4x's the attendance. USH has 2x's the attendance. Sometiems I wonder if CF is too wedded to Cedar Point to see the opportunities they have in other markets.

Do Timber mountain Log Ride and Splash Mountain count as dark rides? -
One guy on you tube kept claiming it was a Gerstlauer Infinity. Claimed he had a friend on the project, or something like that. A couple of days before the announcement he actually went to city hall, pulled the permits and saw the blueprints. City hall wasn't posting their July permits online, but anyone can go down and ask to see them. Anyway, that one guy ended up being completely spot on from the very beginning. As a side note, he was at the ceremony and actually did a better job of streaming the entire event than Knott's did. He was the one they were probably talking about when they said someone actually got it completely right. I give the dude credit. He deserves it. Same guy that spied on his parents wrapping Christmas presents HAHAHA!

I feel bad for Knott's on this stuff. Literally every small problem at the park ends up in the press. It can give an impression that they don't take care of their attractions. We had family friend who worked security at Disneyland for years and he told us accidents happen all the time there, but the park covers most of them up. Only the worst accidents at Disneyland end up in the press.

Did anybody else read the LA Times article? The VP of maintenance and projects actually confirmed that they did have plans at one time to put a large coaster in the park, but scrapped the plans because it would have ruined Ghost town and used the money to refurbish Calico and the Log ride instead. That's the first confirmation I have ever seen from Knott's that one had actually been planned. To be honest, I think they made the right choice. Ghost Town is something special and SIlver Bullet did kind of damage the shows at the Wagon Camp.

And, after reading all of the countless pages in this thread about the giga coaster just to have coast rider be revealed.....I can certainly understand everyone being nervous....so am I....but something different happened this time....the infinity rumor stuck. the rumors changed in the days and weeks before coast rider was announced. That's why I'm rolling the dice and guessing Infinity. Plus.....wouldn't it really be the perfect coaster for that spot? But, in any event, I'll be here tomorrow to cry with the rest of you when we find out about our new half pipe coaster......

Knott's doesn't tease rides. Never have. But they did keep that webcam on 24 hours a day over the spot as they dug and refilled holes. I'm not the only one here who sat up late watching them dig. I think they were messing with us. And I think a Gerstlauer Infinity is going in there. If you think I'm wrong about them not teasing rides, feel free to go back to page one of this thread and start reading all of the speculation over the past several years and how Knotts handled all of those attractions. Hint....they said absolutely nothing and did zero promotion until they were announced. Knott's doesn't tease.

Three and a half hour media event and dinner, the City of Buena Park not releasing its monthly building permits list, a wall up around Coast Rider.......all for a half-pipe? Knott's has played everyone like fiddle. Worked us like garden tools. Pulled the wool over our eyes and fooled the world. It ain't no half-pipe.......something big is going on...mark my words.

Yeah they run soooooo slow. They seem to be enjoying each other's company, tho. There is one girl there who's a little older than the others who seems get them running quicker when she's around. But when she's not....just wow. The part of the line that goes thru the bottom of the building is a hot, humid nightmare.

It may have been there, there is still one there, a new style, but it was not used. I live two miles from KBF, rode that thing more times than I can remember. It was the single largest complaint of GR fans in later years after they installed or started using that brake, because it slowed down the second half of the ride.
