  1. True, but you know that there's no way they could sell that land for houses and keep the park there. All that would do is create one of those places where the new homeowners do nothing but bitch about the park (like Dornye or BGE). I still say the reason they're investing nothing into it is to shut the place down eventually. Hopefully Wild One would be moved if this happens. dt
  2. Now that the announcement is official, this thread is done. dt
  3. Here's the official announcement: http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/hersheypark/fahrenheit/index.php Speculation Thread Closed! dt
  4. ^I still say they're holding onto it to eventually sell the land. They will make an incredible amount of money when they finally decide to shut the place down and replace it with condos. dt
  5. Crap, the SFOG Deja Vu is the only one I have not been on. Ah well... dt
  6. Post Of The Week. dt
  7. I just deleted a bunch of posts with exceptionally pointless bickering and personal attacks on users. Crap like this is not going to be tolerated. Bans will be coming if they don't stop. Final warning. dt
  8. "Ride Of Wetness" sounds awesome. dt
  9. I really hope to experience this event some day. Thanks for posting the pics! dt
  10. That would be the god that is Dio. Freak Kitchen - Wall Of Stupidity dt
  11. ^It likely costs a lot of money to hire a construction crew, have them do some of the work, then keep them on retainer during months when no construction can occur. I can see these "late openings" being a problem if the rides didn't open until half way through the summer, but opening a new coaster in May seems perfectly reasonable to me. I honestly don't really care when a coaster opens, as it's pretty rare that I make it to a park the first year something is operating. But that's just me... dt
  12. Winter weather plays a huge factor. It's hard to do construction in ice and snow. dt
  13. ^Yeah, it's not like some of us predicted this years ago on Westcoaster (and got yelled at for it). There needs to be a "I told you so" smiley. Hope KD enjoys their "new" floorless. dt
  14. Universal Japan was awesome fun. Best Jaws ride ever, just because of how enthusiastic the boat operator was. dt
  15. I told you that you would miss me... dt
  16. Fuji-Q is like what would happen if Six Flags Darian Lake and Kings Island had a baby and then dropped it on its head several times. The worst operations I have ever seen, and a complete crap coaster collection (except for Hamtaro!). The Japan Disney parks totally destroy all the other ones. Four days there was not enough! And the Pooh ride is the single greatest non-coaster attraction ever. Anyone that does not start laughing when the ride bounces like Tigger simply has no soul. This has been an amazing trip. I will be very sad to leave Japan. Thank you Robb & Elissa for all the work you put into this journey. dt
  17. SD 2000 was fun. It wasn't amazing or anything, but it was a fun ride. That pretty much sums up Nagashima Spaland. Lots of "OK" coasters that are fun, but nothing that makes you want to ride again, or say "I can't wait to visit this park again". Honestly, the best ride in the park was the Bob Karts. dt
  18. Some random thoughts: - Knott's Haunt over HHN?!? Please. - No park in the US should win "cleanest" when compared to parks in Japan. The majority of these places are immaculate. - Like others have said, until Epcot wins for "best food", that category is a joke. Disney food in general blows away pretty much anyone else. - Europa Park makes BGE look like a church parking lot carnival in comparison. - As always, these awards are pretty much a lame joke. I swear they could send out the same press release every year and no one would notice. - Cameron wins the Post Of The Month Award. Be sure to redeem your prize voucher at the gift shop on the way out of the facility. Thank you. dt
  19. Just want to stop in here and say that today we rode the most screwed up dark ride in the history of the universe at Parque Espania. There is video, but even that will not be able to truly display the awesomeness of Circus Musical. This trip has kicked much ass so far, and there is a lot still to go. dt
  20. Age Of Nemesis - Inner Fire dt
  21. Devin Townsend - The Greys dt
  22. Circus Maximus - Ultimate Sacrifice dt
  23. Circus Maximus - Abyss dt
  24. Marillion - Most Toys dt
