  1. Intamin does make water rides ya know... http://www.intaminworldwide.com/iag/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=23&Itemid=33 More specifically... http://www.intaminworldwide.com/iag/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20&Itemid=33
  2. from CP's Twitter: Definitely sounding like a water ride. Perhaps a themed log flume or a splash battle?
  3. Right, but Hollywood Dream doesnt have the music selection HRRR has. Keep in mind that these trains have to download a dozen different songs (out of 100+ songs that we know of so far) in a span of seconds. That system has to be pretty complicated I would imagine.
  4. ^How about the music delivery system to each individual seat. Or the sound setup for each seat. Also, I have never seen LED lights on a coaster train that do what Rockit does. Comparing this coaster to Manta in terms of proven technologies is apples and oranges. Maurer has done 5 of these coasters and this one is the tallest lift. B&M has done 7 of these coasters and the technology itself took close to 10 years to develop so its pretty seasoned compared to the X-Car.
  5. ^Agreed. Shortly after people speculate on a certain manufacturer, they mention it on their facebook page. They are definitely watching what we say and I am sure they are loving this debate!
  6. I doubt very seriously Cedar Point would spend all this time and effort creating this campaign for anything other than a major marquee attraction like a roller coaster. Did they go to this much trouble for MaXair or Skyhawk? But, who knows... It could be a dark ride which would totally surprise me.
  7. THIS is what I want to see... http://www.cantileveredcoaster.com/
  8. Wow, Looks like all the old Paramount Parks are switching to Snoopy. I think KI will be next to announce it's snoopy, but I don't think CGA will get snoopy. The contract with Nickelodeon was not renewed for any of their parks. That is why they are interested in the New Orleans park. I think this is a BAD move on their part. Kids these days relate to the nick characters not the peanuts ones. Yeah, but all the Nick characters currently in the Paramount parks are all old, and ones kids don't know. Wild Thornberrys? Rugrats? Hey Arnold? They probably know who they are, but can't relate to them like people my age used to. Whereas, EVERYONE (exaggeration, of course) knows who Snoopy and Charlie Brown are. Tell that to my two year old that flipped out when she saw Spongebob or Dora. We had to ride everything that was open (KI in May so lots of their rides were closed during the day). I still think it will hurt CF more than they realize.

  10. ^Yeah, it could be one of those new Intamin spinners that are supposed to be very fun to ride...
  11. My guess is either a Premier or an S&S family launched coaster. It adds to their coaster count and gives them an exciting ride for the whole family. The S&S launch is even a green technology that doesn't require alot of power.
  12. ^^From the stats page on the website: http://www.intimidator305.com/public/ride/statistics.cfm Physical Dimensions: Track Length: 5,100 feet Maximum Height: 305 feet Lift Hill Angle: 45 degrees Length of First Drop: 300 feet Angle of First Drop: 85 degrees Length of Other Drops: 150 feet Airtime Humps: 6 including S-curve transitions
  13. ^Thats the standard front page for an IIS web server. It just means the content hasnt been made public yet. It has NOTHING to do with the new coaster.
  14. Anyone seen the "Money Pit" with Tom Hanks? Remember the contractor kept telling him the house would be done in "TWO WEEKS" but it actually took like a year?!?! Thanks for making my day with this post!
  15. Paula, Do you know what the weight limit per raft will be? Just curious to see how many adults I will be able to cram into this thing in May!
  16. Looks like a Master Blaster killer to me! I can see the plethra of airtime when watching the POV, especially with a boat full of adults!
  17. I noticed flags and some clearing in this area in June when were visiting. Definitely you could tell something was going there!
  18. 1/3= 1/3 of a mile long. The longest currently is 1/4 of a mile..
  19. Add water in front of coaster and you have the new addition. World's longest I would imagine. I'm going to say around 1,740 feet long.
  20. Good for Kennywood. As for Premier doing it, I think we will see Premier sell more of these in the future and I heard about a "test track" like product from them that is getting some attention too!
  21. My contact there is now saying they are gunning for HHN. Other than that they are considering legal actions on the manufacturer and the contractors they are so upset at this delay. I know a big law suit could kill little ole' Mauer Sohne so hopefully they will get the issues worked out quickly and calmly.
  22. No, but I did one last week on the possibility of adding animal sections to USF!
