  8. It is certainly going to be close, but I hope this campaign works!
  9. The need for a Park-to-Park ticket to experience the Hogwarts Express has now been officially confirmed by Universal, in addition to confirming the inclusion of a new themed restaurant in Diagon Alley.
  10. More official details have been added to the announcement post. I'll continue to add more as it is released.
  11. Universal Orlando has released their official press release detailing The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley! https://www.facebook.com/UniversalOrlandoResort http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-hill/a-huffington-post-exclusi_1_b_3233177.html
  12. I also think it is very premature to be discussing the notion of Planes-themed additions to any of the parks considering the film hasn't even been released yet...
  13. ^Considering the account that posted immediately above you represents a member of the team in-the-know at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, I'd go by what Jamie is telling us.
  14. ^We know for sure Greezed Lightnin' won't be returning as it is simply beyond repair. It was also noted that Thunder Run could take up to $1 million to rerefurbish to a point in which it is smooth and won't rip itself apart. Hart is expected to add two "major" additions to the park in addition to doubling the size of the water park.
  15. It is nice to see them at least attempting to add some safety netting to the ride as opposed to outright removing the coaster. I wasn't able to ride it during my visit to La Qua in 2006 due to heavy rain, but it is good to know that there's at least the possibility that the ride will still be around when I return in 2016.
  16. I really love how Toverland has transformed their outdoor section of the park so heavily over the last five years. This place sits at the top of my Must Do European parks along with Europa Park, Alton Towers and Liseberg.
  17. I think the chances of that have come and gone considering the entire structure is gone now... Not that I would be against Rocky Mountain coming in and starting from scratch and building a bigger, better successor to The Beast.
  18. I think the mat is probably a really smart idea, provided it doesn't drastically alter the ride experience for the rider. I love body slides, and I know that many like them because of the feeling of nothing between you and the slide, but if meant a safer, more comfortable experience, I'd be totally fine with seeing this spread to other parks with body slides that might need it.
  19. Interesting to see Outer Hanks is still unchanged, despite some of the other parks changing theirs up (specifically Kings Island). Still wish it was still operating as a Bubba Gumps at the time of the Deep South Trip, as I would've been able to add another one to my Bubba Gumps credit count...
  20. Boy do I miss Japanese strawberry cheesecake crepes... Boy do I miss Japan...
  21. Great to see the Brit Crew still in action! Haven't seen James since the East Coast trip when he suffered through the Toboggan at Lakemont Park! Thank you guys for letting me live vicariously through your European and UK adventures... Still have no idea when I'll be able to get back out there to experience the parks for myself, so this helps take the sting out of that wait!
  22. ^The land has survived just fine during the ride's annual refurbishment each year the park has been open, so I doubt that they'd be installed purely to help the land. Realistically this is more a move motivated my revenue. Those games generate a lot more revenue than most people realize (this was explained to us at Bob's Space Racers during the TPR Industry Tour) and their continued placement is an ongoing effort for most parks in Orlando. That being said, if the quality of theming behind this games is on par with the amazing games from Bob's Space Racers over at The Simpsons Ride, I'll be totally fine seeing them here.
  23. SeaWorld Orlando has sent us a press advisory regarding the latest update of 'Behind the Freeze' for Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, this time focusing on the ride's lead protagonist, Puck the Penguin.
  24. It looks like they're pulling the train up the hill! I'm seriously curious to see how long this park manages to stay open.
