  1. Sorry...I didn't mean to sound rude...I was just concerned...didn't want DAFE to get in trouble since we promised them we wouldn't publish any photos from the inside portions of the tour. I was not aware that people had already posted photos from down inside the maintenance area, the maintenance lift, inside the tunnel near the drop, and up from the ground inside the headframe looking up at lift 1. Where were those posted? I'd love to see those. I assumed that DAFE was the first group to get the behind-the-scenes tour. What group was first? -Derek
  2. Whoa...Dave...you recall that Pete asked us not to post any pictures??? What are you doing posting the pictures from the tour? He told us that we could take pictures but to please not publish them until the end of the season. Wow. -Derek
  3. Thanks! But keep in mind it isn't a recreation...it is a totally new version of the TZ TOT...mine's a roller coaster... -Derek
  4. Thanks, man! I'm almost done filming!!! I hope to finish filming at least tomorrow night...because that is the last night I'll get to work on it for a whole week because we're going to the DAFE Dollywood event! Here are a couple of screens from tonight's shoots to tide you over...something terrible happened that Halloween night in 1939... -Derek
  5. Yes...please post your video! I'd love to see that...and I love the creaks and groans of the ride "train"! Of course you kinda wonder if the whole place is about to collapse out from under you sometimes... -Derek
  6. Heh...been filming some more. I thought I'd share a couple of cool screenies...all 3 are captured directly in the game with NO editing of the image...pretty striking, huh? -Derek
  7. Wow...that Virginia Reel looked pretty dangerous! Cool! -Derek
  8. I guess I'm in the minority here...maybe I'm just weird but I like Spaceship Earth the way it is. I admit that it has its flaws...but I really like it. My wife and I always park at Epcot and take the bus or monorail to the other parks and then come back to Epcot each night to ride Spaceship Earth a few times and watch Illuminations. And I LOVE Jeremy Irons' narration...I hope they don't change that too much...and as hokey as the music score is...I love it...Wow...this breaks my heart...but I'll get over it I guess. -Derek
  9. Sort of... Here are a couple more from tonight... -Derek
  10. I've been filming...here are a few shots from the shoot today. Back to filming... "PLACES, EVERYONE!!! QUIET ON THE SET!!" -Derek
  11. Actually, you will still get an awesome view of the water from the top...remember at the top of the lift there is the 270 degree flat turnaround...you'll get an amazing panoramic view from the top before the big head-choppin' drop. Great pictures, Jason!! We'll have to "meet for lunch" in Kemah this summer sometime! LOL! -Derek
  12. Thanks, guys! I've been busy programming the flying camera editor and filming stuff. I still have tons of editing to do. I needed to open the park up so I could film the queue scenes with peeps in line. -Derek
  13. Here are some screenshots of the TZ TOT: E5D Soft opening and media day!!! Mist in the gardens made for some great photo ops: The lucky first riders (winners of the radio station contest): They loved it! random shots from the day: -Derek
  14. Yep...that's me! The POV will come soon...I've just been super busy with real-life...sorry about the wait. I turned up the video settings a bit for these: front of lobby: New boiler room screens including the never-before-seen lower level: Just because I felt like showing them...heh...didn't have time to film tonight...just snapped these shots to tide you over some more. -Derek
  15. Thanks for the compliments! The stars are from JCat's Spaceworx Set. It is available here: www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524546&highlight=spaceworx -Derek
  16. Yeah...I'll definitely post the custom scenery I've used when it's all done. To tide you over while I'm waiting to test some new custom scenery...some full-color eye candy of the HTH in her heyday... -Derek
  17. they go in this folder: C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed Unzip the file and drop the whole folder there. Hope this helps! -Derek
  18. ^^LOL! Glad I could entertain you! -Derek
  19. THANKS!!! Hey, I was looking through some archives and ran across these treasures here. They are some old publicity newspaper photos of the Hollywood Tower Hotel in 1938...before the incident in 1939 that closed the hotel...sorry the images are so bad...but its the best I've been able to find so far...(Oh...and yeah...the film will show footage of the hotel in its heyday...) -Derek
  20. Thanks! Yep...lag was awful...but not near as bad as it is right now on my Tower of Terror LOL! The "room with all the clowns" was my attempt at a hall of mirrors, hence the clowns and blood splats reflected endlessly into the distance. And yeah...the ride show building was quite large...this early overhead shot gives you an idea of the size: The ride in the distance is my ride called Rotterghast Castle. Screens and video for it can be found here: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524081 The tilthouse queue line was made by placing a queue path sideways on sloped land tiles. Here is a map of the ride I made: Thanks agian! Derek
  21. The ride is 99% done! I've started filming the parts I can film while I wait for one more custom scenery object to be finished. Here is some more random eye-candy to tide you over: -Derek
  22. Well...the rides are already in the game...I just colored them dark colors...and the Freaks tent I made out of custom scenery pieces from various sets like JCat's Screamworx and Shyguy's Circus Center Set. Thanks, guys! -Derek
  23. Thanks, Steffen. Those trees were made by Marnetmar on the Atari boards. He's the guy that made the Hollywood Tower Hotel sign for me too. You can get the trees here: www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=500538 -Derek
  24. I finished the Gift Shop "What You Need" thanks to Iceatcs' great new customizable scenery pack!!! I will release my billboards for the giftshop when I release the ride and video. and a new shot of the outdoor queue...just because... -Derek
  25. I added a little bridge over a pond between the park entrance and the cafe: -Derek
