  1. THANKS!! My buddy, Marnetmar created an awesome custom scenery Hollywood Tower sign for me!!! Here it is: Didn't he do a great job?!? Thanks, Marnetmar! -Derek
  2. Thanks, everyone! That is just the standard steel wild mouse coaster...it came in RCT3 vanilla. I use block brakes as boosters. Most of the clown art I drew myself...except for the Halloween mask images and photos. -Derek
  3. This site also has some great info on the attraction...as well as other Vekoma Mad Houses: www.madhouse-guide.com/?s=1&lang=EN -Derek
  4. Thanks, EVERYONE!! The garden isn't so spooky in the daytime...just messy and overgrown: Even a spooky garden needs a "gazing sphere": Overhead view of the queue/gardens so far: The Moonlight Terrace cafe in the daytime: And the finished cafe at night: the lily pond now has some "little friends" in it: ENJOY! -Derek
  5. Thanks! I do have several ideas for my next project but I haven't decided which one to do next yet. EDIT: Tonight I started making the park file a bit more peep friendly. I added a restroom in the gift shop and here is a little outdoor cafe called The Moonlight Terrace. -Derek
  6. THANKS, everyone! The crumbly walls on the building itself are from Luckygirl's Harbor sets and the ivy is from The Cook's ivy set. Both are available on the Atari community forums. Sorry...no new screenies tonight...had a class at church tonight. -Derek
  7. THANKS, guys! I've been working on the queue through the garden. It seems that the garden has been a bit overgrown and spooky ever since that fateful Halloween night back in 1939...the night the tower was struck by lightning...and all those people at the party...well...you know... -Derek
  8. Thanks!! Yes, I'll be editing a full queue and ride video when it's all done. question...do Robb and Elissa ever look at this forum? I'd love to hear their opinion of my ride so far... -Derek
  9. THANKS! Okay, everyone...I need your help before I go further. I took some folks' advice and added more lighting on the lower parts...and along the portico where the queue will wrap around the base of the tower through a garden. Do you like this brighter more lit-up tower better? Check out the test video here: http://media.putfile.com/Tower-of-Terror-Lightning-FX-Test-2 and the screens below: What do you think? -Derek
  10. THANKS! Yeah...I'm not quite finished with the lighting yet. So far I've only shown shots of the animated "lightning" effects on the outside of the building. -Derek
  11. Patience is a virtue...or something like that. Worked more on the exterior trim and I added a rooftop garden... -Derek
  12. THANKS! I still have quite a bit to finish before I make the video. Finished the Tower tonight! -Derek
  13. THANKS! I got LOTS done tonight! Here you go! I still want to add a large octagonal cupola to the roof of the ballroom on the 13th floor...but the tower is almost done! I also made a short test video of the lightning effects at the top of the tower: media.putfile.com/Tower-of-Terror-Lightning-Effects-Test and some closeups of the details at the top: -Derek
  14. THANKS! the interior is complete and the ride is finished...I may touch up a couple of things here and there before I make the video though...there are lots of amazing new custom scenery sets coming out...so I may "freshen up" some things. The gift shop at the exit needs shelves and merchandise, for instance...and a fellow on the Atari boards is currently creating a magnificent custom scenery set of gift shop stuff right now. Etc. -Derek
  15. THANKS!!! More tower screens...still lots of work to go...not even any windows yet... -Derek
  16. Thanks, everyone! Please don't worship me though... I'm just a dude that likes to make dark rides...I'm not God... As far as releasing the ride goes...I'm still thinking about that. I plan to edit a full video for sure. -Derek
  17. THANKS!!...here are a couple of updates...I only worked on it for a little bit tonight after church. I just added some detailing on the exposed hallways and I'm trying out some new scorch marks on the side of the building...I'll be adding some more of those. -Derek
  18. Thanks, everyone! The scenery is free...and it is available through the Atari site in the custom scenery forum. It's great stuff! I finally started working on the lightning-damaged-zapped-into-the-5th-dimension part of the exterior: -Derek
  19. These shots show the enormity of the ride building so far...wow...that'd be verrrry expensive to build in real life... -Derek (sorry about the double post if that's not allowed...)
  20. THANKS! More...zzzzzzzzzzzzz.....lobby and gift shop... -Derek
  21. Thanks, Everyone! Here are a few new screens. This exterior stuff is very tedious...it's gonna take me a while... -Derek
  22. Thanks! I usually only release a video because releasing the game file involves linking to image files that I'd have to release too. It is tricky but I may try to do it with this ride. -Derek
  23. Actually, the only objects I used from that particular pack were the open elevator doors and the closed elevator doors. The rest of the stuff is selected from dozens of sets and combined. Thanks for the nice comments! EDIT: Anyway...here are the first exterior architecture screens. These are of the main entrance...where the lobby is. -Derek
  24. Thanks! The elevator doors are actually custom objects created by a talented Atari community member named Disfan1. They are part of his Tower of Terror set. -Derek
