  1. I read about it in a newspaper here in Sweden. It looks crazy but still fun! Here is a video from Sweden, but i think it is the same - http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/nyheter/utrikes/article5553553.ab
  2. Everyone who has been in Skara Sommarland this year, know that Tranan's uphill sounds very much. The rollercoaster has now undergone a minor repair, so that the volume is now slightly lower. In the autumn when the park is closed, they will fix the problem completely. This information comes from a friend of mine, who works in the park this summer.
  3. Great reports from Gröna Lund and all the other parks! Your t-shirts with the text "I went Insane" are nice! I also have a t-shirt like that. But I have three words more on my t-shirt Yeah!
  4. Hey! Great photos from Liseberg! I agree that Liseberg is a fantastic park . I visit the park 1-3 times every year (Perhaps on Monday). Very cool that you had to go behind the scenes at "Spökhotellet Gasten". I hope you have more photos from there! Last time I went it was in May, and I had to go at the front. It was actually very fun!
  5. It costs 249 SEK for a day!
  6. I can't wait to see the photos, even though I have already visited Liseberg, Gröna Lund and Skara Sommarland this year! I hope Tranan worked as it should. They had some problems with the ride last Friday when I was there. But I could go on three times! I live very close the park, so you almost passed my house on the way to Stockholm
  7. Nice trip! Great to see pictures of Liseberg's old HangOver! I went the new Tranan (S&S Power Eagle coaster) yesterday at Skara Sommarland. A nice rollercoaster, but it could have happened a little more. I hope it works as it should on the 16th of June when the "Scandi Trip" visit the park. Because they had some problems with the ride yesterday. Once had people walk out of the wagon in the middle of the ride. The car also stayed in the uphill sometimes.
  8. Great updates! Special when you live in Sweden! I have visited Tivoli Gardens for some years ago, and it's a nice park. But it's fun when you come to Sweden. Especially this year, when we have got four new rollercoasters! (Yes, I know. Two of them are for children.) But anyway, Tele2 Insane is different, and on Friday I will go to Skara Sommarland and go "Tranan". I live very close to the park. Can't wait to see more photos!
  9. It was a full page about it in our local paper. They said that also Flumeride had been stopped while Kanonen were still. Some people had to get out of a boat in the uphill...
  10. Thank you very much Loefet! Your English is better than mine, hehe
  11. No, the emergency brake didn't stay the train when the belts off during the ride. Not the station brakes. I don't know exactly how it happened. But according to media the passengers had to travel almost a lap without seatbelts.
  12. I have bad news. Tranan premiered on Saturday. Belts off a few times on a wagon and it stopped. But once belts off and the wagon didn't stay. Passengers had to travel nearly a lap without belts. No one injured, but a 5-year-old girl was shocked. See links below (in Swedish, of course!) http://www.gt.se/nyheter/1.1590425/balten-lossnade-i-berg-och-dalbana http://anytime.tv4.se/webtv/?progId=767379&treeId=100782&renderingdepartment=2.757 (video!)
  13. Hey! Tranan opens today, and there is a new video uploaded! http://www.expressen.tv/GT/1.1586842/gt-testar-tranan
  14. I read on a Swedish news site Liseberg can now start planning their development of the park. But the area (carpark today) will not only include attractions in the future. Also a new a new parking garage, a new hotel, and a "air tram". This project would be decided later this year. Liseberg hope that this project is clearly about 12-15 years(!). http://www.gt.se/nyheter/1.1584388/sa-vill-liseberg-vaxa-soderutthat Liseberg in future
  15. Hey! New updates with photos from Tranan's blog, and two new photos at RCDB! Enjoy! Tranan is now open at the weekend. (But I will go on the 12th June) The first S&S Power Free Fly in the world! Tranan at Skara Sommarland, Sweden. The lift uphill. Yeah! The wheel fasteners.
  16. I was there Saturday, May 16. I got in free because I ran "Lilla Göteborgsvarvet" (a running race in Gothenburg for young people) on Sunday. I never went Rabalder, because it was 45 min queue. It wasn't worth it! But I liked Hanghai, it's a cool ride! (only 15 min queue) But I can recommend to go the Gasten Ghost Hotel at the front. I have gone it before, but never at the front. It was fun and scary! Especially when you didn't see where you would go.
  17. Sorry, my English is not the best. But I finish the ninth grade this year. Skara sommarland hosting a party called "Last night with the gang". It's for all young people who finish the ninth grade. Now I hope you will understand better!
  18. I think that the stamp will be sold in the park. But it will be sold in stories all over Sweden. The booklet of stamps will be called "Swedish highlights" (Svenska höjdpunker).
  19. Balder will be available in one of the new four stamps in Sweden issued May 14. (The other three are Turning Torso in Malmö, the Kaknäs Tower in Stockholm and the ski jump Lugnet in Falun).
  20. The new ZacSpin-coaster Tele2 Insane, at Gröna Lund in Sweden! Yeah!
  21. I live about an hour's drive from Skara Sommarland. When you quit school here in this region, usually held a closing party. I hope I can go on the June 12. Special this year when Tranan is new!
  22. Yes, it's true. But they said they will have staff in the queue which ensures that the weight distribution is at an approximate. If two people want to sit next to each other, you could find some that weigh about as much together.
  23. Here are my videos on Tele2 Insane:
  24. Nice pictures! No summer without Liseberg! I hope I can go there now, in May. And I am very curious to see what happens in 2010. Maybe it's time for a expansion at the south carpark and a new rollercoaster? I read about it in the local paper. But it must be a rollercoaster that does not sound too much, maybe an indoor rollercoaster? And the Swedish women's team was there to inaugurate Liseberg's new game "Straffsparken". You can read it in on of Liseberg's press realeses http://www.newsdesk.se/pressroom/liseberg/pressrelease/view/vaelkommen-paa-en-provtur-286541 . Of course the girls went the rides when they were there. Yesterday they played a match against Brazil at the new National Arena "Gamla Ullevi". So I think everybody were in Gothenburg this weekend.
  25. I read in Aftonbladet that yesterday, when Gröna Lund opened, Tele2 Insane stopped a few times. The longest stop was in 4 minutes. But Gröna Lund says there is no danger. They say that they only fine-tune something in the programming. http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/article4994994.ab http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/nyheter/inrikes/article4994743.ab I think that Swedish newspapers are more ware of the amusement parks this year. Because the last three-four years, it has been some incidents at Swedish amusement parks. For example, last year Liseberg's Rainbow crashed. So if a rollercoaster stops now, it will be headlines.
