  1. B&M Launch Coaster?
  2. I want to see a roller coaster that speeds up 1/2 way around, I have high hopes it will happen but I dont think theres going to be a call for that type of thing for awhile as this would lead to HUGH tracks
  3. More a kids park than a family one, I cant see tussauds putting anything good there for adults as theres a sister park 'thorpe park' very nearby
  4. More a kids park than a family one, I cant see tussauds putting anything good there for adults as theres a sister park 'thorpe park' very nearby
  5. Dragon Khan with minimum braking in the break run befor the 2nd loop and intwinded corkscrews!
  6. My only big drop tower is Hurukan Condor at 330 ft, I don’t know about other towers but the seating options are great, offering 'seatless' as you just have a G-string style of seat with legs dangling bellow, and then your draged up 330ft really quickly as each of the 5 carts are only 4 seaters, when you come out of the kool voodoo temple decoration your all ready rather high but then it goes alot faster and you can see for miles to the beach and to my apartment and by then the dragon khan looks small, but still it drags you higher and higher then it slows down abit and the last 30ft goes so slowly and your getting more and more worried about the drop! Then you pass the camera dangling out in front of you on a little stick that makes you wonder what’s holding you on and you look and its this tiny little shoulder restraint going into the G-sting and you dont dare push against them but then the cart tips over pushing you on your tiny restraint and you have to put all you faith into it then you assume the position by put legs and arms straight out in front of you for maximum fun. You then stare down wondering if you can see any friends that chickened out but at that height you cant see anything. Of course now its the waiting game, some of the carts drop straight away some take much longer, I guess the park wasn’t busy and as it was too intense for most people they could have kept people up there all day if they wanted to, CLUNK FLASH serious airtime! Flying out of my G-string for ages getting faster and faster up to 70MPH and then in the voodoo temple then maximum G brakes slamming me into the Gstring making my hole body stop dead on top of my family jewels making me scream! Then you get to struggle out of your Gstring and used to a nice refreshing 1G. After that you have a photo of you drop with a nice fisheye view showing the hole ride. Therefore I believe this drop tower to be the best one ever, unless of corse all the others are like that in which case it’s the best because it has great themeing!
  7. Personly I think there not kool as I feel they lack emotion and thats makes them far to ironic for there own good.
  8. martinb says - *FREEFALL*, your telling me Blackpool Pleasure Beach doesn't have any history? No I'm not but good point nether the less I think that disney theming is really fake, i meen it might be kool for kids to look at but all I see in there castle is a huge waist of money and I kina kring at everyone enjoying it! Altons castle looks great is a really castle with history (when building castles woz kool). Also theres HUGE amounts of disney theming and like no flat rides... I would rather a spin and puke than any of the crud they have there, and whats the big idea of the rides where you Que for ages only to find out you have been tricked and theres no ride at all! ie aladins cave and MANY others, i dont like traveling out of my own country expecialy when its to go to france and find I might as well have spent my weekend driving around the M25 for all the fun there themings going to give me! On another matter I like the walking around Alton and find it 1/2 the fun of going. I must atmit I've still not got around to going to blackpool I kina see it as a dirty smelly metropols type thing, mind you I like the country and you probably like citys, but still alton has nemesis, air, oblivion and others where as blackpools kina skank for roller coasters mind you there woodens look kool even if they are fecking old. (feckings kool to say right? fecking might not have reach the US and maybe then seen as evil slang of another word but I would rather just get told than having this whole lovely message removed- thanx) - So concluded Altons way better And anyway as Hicko says we have already had a Alton Vs BlackHOLE and Alton won hands down O and BMPP I have noticed Alton has a 24 hr staff and service gate to there car park that i tryed to sneak into one night and got turn away, so I then parked right out side the main gate and got woz owoken by the security dude wanting to know wot I woz up to, anyone who went to Alton on its last day of the season last year and turned up early might have seen my old grey escort parked in shotgun posision out side:) its all about beating the ques!
  9. Yeah the vid makes it look abit lame with all videos you cant get any feel for Gs, speed and hight, so with that in mind it looks sweet!
  10. Alton towers is the best, as I will now explain. It has history: The HUGE gardens and valleys were created by the 15th earl of Shrewsbury and his so-called army of gardeners and craftsman. It is a unique element that makes Alton stand out so far and what better way to see them than the sky ride. Alton's history has also had many great rides in its past that have been removed to make way for new ones, let us not forget the beast the NEW beast the Alton mouse the thunder looper and the black hole as well as many others. Alton also has the towers that are the largest private house in Europe. It was also rated among the top 6 parks in the world and voted Britains top tourist attraction. The rides! Alton has a good reputation for world class rides and has once boasted the worlds longest log flume as well as the first flying coaster 'air' that’s still awesome even with the likes of Tatsu, we were also blessed with the worlds first drop coaster Oblivion that IMHO still boasts the best drop of any coaster in the world and let us not forget Nemesis, one of the first B&M inverts and as everyone including B&M would agree its best invert with harrowing G forces and many many near missies and inversions. Also we must look up to the huge river rapids, great fun for big groups! As well as many favourite for the youngsters such as the run away mine train the flume, tweeny world and many more places I dont visit because I favour the white knuckle experiences Alton has to offer. The environment. As stated already nothing much can compare to Alton’s gardens, Towers and Lakes that are kept VERY clean, theres a great variety of places to eat and at competitive prices for a theme park, take pizza hut, you can get a small pizza, a side and a drink for less than a £5, that’s better than the high street! Also Alton’s not crammed in like some of the pleasure beaches, also as you enter the world of Alton towers on the monorail your will pass over the breathtaking sites of Nemesis, Air and the river rapids. As for the so-called high prices you should gladly pay! Just look at how many legendary attractions are being built every year, recently we have seen spinball whizer, Rita, Hex (goes without saying that Hex is the best ride of its type in the world) and the newly made charley and the chocolate factory, as well as these pay rides... I haven’t been on the speed boats but they look great much better than the lousy out of date swans, and I would be prepared to pay for these as they are not large capacity so its a good idea to keep them to guests who REALLY want to ride them and are willing to pay alittle extra, instead of letting the kids ride them all day long leaving the adults Q’ing all day for something they would be prepared to pay for without the wait. So lets look over the facts, best rides in Briton if not the world, best location and setting in.... The world, great for all the family even grandma, spectacular shows and events, its also been 'keeping up with the Jones’s ' for decades and is the jewel in the crown for the Tussauds Group. So who’s better? Blackpool? It might have a big one but its old and abit rubbish and lets face it there other rollercoasters are all pants and they dont get many new ones and its not very picturesque is it? Maybe Thorpe park? Its catching up with Alton but will never have its luxurious setting. However for me the thing that makes Alton Towers so magical is the Magic of Alton Towers.... Disney land with its silly plastic castle makes me laugh its about as magical as its silly verkoma rides.
  11. Great track, I have it myself, to bad you dont like the video tho...
  12. IMO disney land paris sux, theres not flat rides apart from 3 that are the same with diffrent carrages, I guess its for kids but also i have no time for the rides where you just Que all the way around and then theres no ride at the end you know the ones i meen next time I'm near paris I'm going to park astrix, nether the less it woz a great TR, o and big thunder is crud
  13. Maybe if you sat at the back the slowest part of the ride would be on the way up and when your on the middle of the top hat and coming down it would start to get faster. Whens the best time to vistit the park for short Qs?
  14. maybe wind resistance and direction played a part? And maybe when u rode it 18 times there woz not many people on the ride... or maybe martinb is a fat @$$
  15. Nice pics, Need to see some rides tho!
  16. There done! I decided on its name as it sums the ride up. Crap.nltrack Its Crap!
  17. Nemesis and Dragon Khan also have diffrent drops, i think B+M have more varied drops than any other roller coaster company
  18. I might be up for that, tho i think 5 points for supports is abit harsh when your giving 5 points for couler
  19. Its out of Obivion and hades, On Oblivion you enter it at 90* (ish) and on hades you go up to 90* on your side so its hard to call however Oblivions tunnel looks great and hades tunnel sux and dont tell me otherwise because it could of had a ledgendary tunnel making it look like your entering hell or somthing but instead they just block paved it
  20. Ahhh SFOG aw well screw it
  21. I have been on the new trains on an arrow coaster at chessington WOA in england, there not the ones coaster_type_of_person showed us as those aint even inverted! The vampire woz the 1st proper coaster I rode and found it slow and forceless but since getting the new seats it seems much faster and you can feel the G also more (probably just as fast but it does feel diffrent, maybe the cars are heavyer or there just fresh), it also make a great difrence to the ride as you feel like your flying alot more and it opens up what you can see, its also good for people that are not at the front as all you could used to see is the next cart infront. I've always though that the ninja looks sweet but really needed open trains so i think it will really make a big diffrence to the ride, have fun on it New trains
  22. Well a picture does say a thousand words... It will take more than a superman to beat this goliath Got all the curves in the right places Over 10 years old and still Intamin miles behind
  23. Hey dude your coasters rule very fun to ride, i think the camel humps at the end of the ride are alittle to fast however the Gs seem ok so maybe it is kool, great ideas for both the tracks tho and nice support work to!
