  1. I'm just going to leave this here... yes they're wasting no time on the front gate plaza.
  2. Welcome, future person, to the year 2016. Could I know the lottery numbers for this Saturday please? I ENJOY SEX WITH PEOPLE DRESSED UP LIKE ANIMALS You'll probably fit in great in the coaster enthusiast community... The filter got me. That's a filter?! Holy crap, I love this site. What's it a filter for? Look at the original post you quoted me as saying such

  5. Yes, GCI is doing the retracking/reprofiling
  6. That hasn't been revealed yet - was just told by maintenance that the current rolling stock is near the end of its lifespan and the plans are to replace once retrack is complete. One would hope Flyers are what is in store.
  7. Part of the 4th part of the TW retracking is to purchase new rolling stock
  8. Mexican is coming. Rumor is at Mary's Spring House
  9. 1. Yes the helix to the flat curve will be done this off season. It was pre scheduled so GCI's other projects will not effect it. 2. Fjord Fjairlane is not a Huss Swing-a-round. It was a prototype for a different company but I'm too lazy to go through my records to see which one right now (I'm at the Mizzou game) 3. Forum is going to be dark next season 4. The storage will be a general storage building. 5. MAMBA has only used 2 trains this season. The third train is by the maintenance building. 6. Monsoon only used 2 boats this season. 7. A determination has not been made on DiamondHead at this time.
  10. This makes me tear up. Pretty sure that was the last ever trick track on any coaster in the world left. Good riddance.
  11. PR Guy said it would be after the season the last time I talked to him through Facebook
  12. Both MAMBA and Patriot have had full queues most of the evening the past two Saturdays
  13. I think a looping Cobra's Curse would be pretty awesome
  14. It started mid-September Ok. I would like to go, but from these recent posts about crowds I'll just wait until next year and go in September. Seems like it will be less crowded. "Less Crowded" is only marginal. Friday's are the least crowded days but again only "marginal" The event is a hot ticket in KC. Just pony up the money for Fright Lane and go enjoy yourself.
  15. Yes, at the time that it was built, Wild Fire was one of the larger B&M sit-down coasters out there. It still produces a pretty intense ride.
  16. Well the captions under the photos [ https://midwestinfoguide.blogspot.com/2016/10/project-2018-sdc.html ] say that this is behind the restrooms in Echo Hollow.
  17. Did you guys see that footers have started to show up on the new coasters? https://midwestinfoguide.blogspot.com/2016/10/project-2018-sdc.html
  18. Clearly you've never been to any the Orlando parks. But still, daaaayuuuum. Parking on the grass?! 2nd Saturday in a row this has happened. Corn Stalkers last week had a stand by line of over 3 hours. There were reports of 22,000 last week in attendance on Saturday. The park will only get more crowded the closer to Halloween.
  19. I disagree with that strongly. I haven't been to WOF's haunt so I can't compare them as great as you'd be able to, but I went in all of the mazes last night at Fright Fest, with the exception of Blackout (I've ignored that one since FF 2013), and they all had very strong themes and stuck to those themes pretty well. The Slaughter House had jars and barrels of human parts, and all the actors were dressed and equipped with meat cleavers and machetes and such, Blind Fury had amazing theming with the rooms full of stuffed animals and dolls, the racks of makeshift toys made out of arms and legs, and the actors in that maze always fit the maze very well too, not to mention the awesome boiling room finale scene with the flamethrower. Camp Killamore was set up like different parts of a summer camp like the Killamore Theater, the bathroom, the different dormitory buildings, not to mention the finale in the Mess Hall. Then Night Terrors, the new one for this year had different rooms based off of different fears. The fear of death, fear of clowns, etc etc. I don't doubt that Worlds of Fun is ahead of Six Flags St Louis considering they aren't in a restructuring phase, but given the increasing amount of money the park is putting into it year after year I feel it's becoming a pretty great Halloween event. You disagree with it strongly but haven't been to Haunt so you can't compare the two? I'm going to stop you right there.
  20. After completing my visit to WOF today (and visiting Fright Fest last weekend) I can safely say that Fright Fest has nothing on HAUNT. The maze quality is night and day. WOF's mazes are all professionally done with actual themes that are carried through the entire maze. SF's mazes almost feel like a high school project in comparison. I'm not trying to be a fan boy here for WOF but come on SF step it up. You were the original Halloween event in the state there's no excuse to not have a better event (or at least equivalent).
  21. HAUNT at Worlds of Fun this Saturday
  22. This so much. I love our Haunt but I feel that you have to go-go-go so much to see everything that by the end you are get desensitized from being worn out that it almost ruins the final houses of the night.
