We had been always talking about taking the kids to a Dodger game but never had gotten around to it until yesterday. We left for the stadium around 10:45 and got there by 12:15 or so. Gotta love LA traffic. Our original seats were sort of high up, so Gregg decided we should try to upgrade them. A few minutes later, we had tickets in a great spot, orange section for those of you that have been there. We were in the shade the whole time and there was a nice breeze so it was not too miserable. The game was good, the Dodgers lost 7-5(shocker!). Amanda and Josh got to have their first Dodger Dog and loved it. I think they also managed to have nachos, peanuts and pretzels throughout the game also. After the game we met up with Justin and his girlfriend and went down to 3rd St. in Santa Monica. It had been about 10 years since Gregg and I went there and I had forgot how many freaks are there!! We decided to go to Hooters for dinner. Let me tell you, this place is not as bad as I had thought it would be. Sure the waitresses wear skimpy outfits, but it was a fun atmosphere and the I think we all had a fun time. The only downfall was that you sit on like barstools and they were not real comfy. The bathroom was in the basement and kinda freaky looking. Josh loved the attention he got when he had his picture taken with the Hooters chicks. The food was good, I would definitely go back. After all this excitement at Hooters , we walked down 3rd St some more, watched some of the freaky performers they have, went through the mall, and out to walk to the pier. We could see the coaster as we were walking and decided to get that credit. It was freaking cold! If you ever go to the beach at night, take a jacket and wear pants! We reluctantly paid the $4.50  each to ride the coaster. What a joke! It was not a terrible coaster by any means, however it was not that thrilling either. For $4.50 you get to ride it twice. I think I laughed the whole time. We got off the ride, more freezing than before and headed back to 3rd St. We said our goodbyes to Justin and went through the scary parking structure to leave. We got home and we were all pooped. It was a really fun day. Here are some pictures to share: Justin in the mall SMURRF! It should be blue. Josh finally did SLAYER! Amanda and I on the ride...I look SO thrilled! Justin and I in line for the great coaster, freezing. Had to ride to get another credit.. Yay, Pacific Park They are opening a Bubba Gumps, the sign says Summer 2005 but didn't look ready to us. Some wacky performer who was tossing bowls and stuff... We even got the Hooters girls to do SLAYER! Josh was the stud of the evening and made some new friends. Hooters Girls doing the YMCA on the barstools.. Justin and our waitresses Justin was thirsty! Kristi happy to be at Hooters Justin got a cool hat for his birthday...SLAYER! Penguins rock! SLAYER!!!!!!!! Kristi and Josh Gregg, Amanda and Josh Dodgervision Go Dodgers! Dodger Stadium

If you go to a Dodger game make sure you take some aspirin or something for when all the "thundersticks" get to your head! Those things are loud and when you have everyone around you smacking them together it can get really hard to keep your sanity!! -
^^ Thanks for the advice. I think we will pass then and wait for dvd. Plus it isn't playing anywhere around us. I think we will see either "War of the Worlds" or "Bewitched".

What are your 4th of July plans?
Sir Clinksalot replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Random, Random, Random
Well no, it doesn't really mean anything to us, and to be honest, we don't really care much about it either. I just thought I'd join in and say what I would be doing on the 4th July. We don't really have any special days where we do stuff like you do, except maybe Guy Fawkes Day, where we have fireworks and bonfires and stuff (November 5th). -

I'll probably do the same stuff as i do on the 3rd july, 5th july and 6th july etc..... Not much maybe go shopping. Walk the dog. Clean the house. Play RCT3 and Soaked. And then watch Monday Night Raw, except that will technically be the 5th july cos it's on live at 2.00am. It's gonna suck now that Batista has gone to Smackdown and Raw gets that loser Cena. -

Yes, every boomerang I have seen goes back up the back spike and get's braked to hell coming in the station. What the video shows is different. The train goes back on the spike, higher than a normal boomerang, doesn't slow down but goes back through the station, up the cobra roll a bit and then back to the back spike. It THEN stops like a normal boomerang. Do we have to post a video of a normal boomerang??? -

Lifejackets used to be filled with sunflower seeds for flotation Snapple is cool! -
Ok, so I saw the same as Gregg, except Hostage, anything with kids in it I could not handle and the little girl was named Amanda so no way. We watched the Pacifier. Vin Diesel...WOW I thought it was a really cute movie and he is just hot!!! Hitch...well I fell asleep watching it. What I saw was ok, but I don't know if I will re-watch it or not. I think I will take Amanda to see "The Perfect Man" at some point this weekend and Gregg can take Josh to see "Batman". Kristi "I am waiting for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with hottie Johnny Depp!!! " C.

If I never hear the song "Sweet Home Alabama" again, it will be too soon. It's a good song, but after about 5 million times it needs to be retired. -
Watched 4 movies over the past few days: Hostage: It was good, not great. Had some cool action though. The Pacifier: Liked this ALOT better than I thought I would. Not the best movie ever, but it was entertaining. Hitch: Also liked this one. Kevin James was pretty funny in it. Cursed: FINALLY ... a good monster movie. This movie was everything that Van Helsing should have been. Cool effects, cool monsters and a pretty good story. This was done in a way that only Wes Craven could do it. I loved that it took all things good about old school Werewolf movies and improved it. The only thing that bugged me is I didn't know this was a Werewolf movie. I don't know how it did in the box office, but if it had been clear to me it was a Werewolf movie, I would have wanted to see it more. Definately worth checking out IMO.

Saw Batman Begins the other night and couldnt wait for it to end. Christian Bale is such a crappy actor and they may as well have used a cardboard cutout for his scenes. awful.

TTD STUCK ON TOP!!!
Sir Clinksalot replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Congrats on reading the article. Was there video of the last time it got stuck with riders on it? No? Then I think maybe this qualifies as being NEW. Or are you implying that it's nothing new that whoever started this thread is late with the news? Either way, your post came across as being really unnecessarily smarmy. If it's not news to you, why'd you waste your time reading the post? /not in the mood. -

Did anybody hear her on the phone? Was she talking to someone who was on the ride??? Sure sounded like it to me. Either way, it was cool and something you are not likely to see again anytime soon. -
