Yeah, I tried to post our USH pics from yesterday 4 times today. Still haven't been able to, well mostly because I'm at work. -
Be Cool I loved "Get Shorty" and was really looking forward to this movie. It didn't dissapoint for the most part. Chili Palmer is absolutely one of the coolest cats to ever grace the big screen. This one wasn't quite as engrossing as the first, but it had some absolutely awesome performances. Vince Vaughn was his normal hilarious self. Andre 3000 (From Outkast) was very funny in his first role and I can certainly see him having a future in movies. Seeing John Travolta and Uma together again (and seeing them dancing again) was totally awesome. The chemistry they had on Pulp Fiction is still there. But ... the star of the show ... the man with the plan, who stole the movie in one of the most hilarious performances EVER ... yes, I said EVER ... The Rock. OMFG!!! Kristi didn't even realize it was The Rock at first. Playing a gay bodyguard who wants to get into acting and sings cowboy songs about wanting men. My God ... I just can't explain how good he was in this role. I love it when I see actors being self-depricating, but this took it to a whole new level. Doing a Monologue from "Bring it On" and doing 2 parts in a "MONO" logue was absolutely one of the funniest things I have ever seen on film. The bonus features also include the full "Cowboy" video. Even if you don't care to see this movie, even if you hate the Rock, see this movie. He is the star of this movie, and all the other actors in the movie easily admitted it in the making of featurette.

Good job Wally! -
We are so used to regular Diet Coke at this point that Diet Coke with splenda is too sweet for us. Weird.

Wow ... school. What's that? When I was in school I was about a 2.8 GPA until my Junior year when I got serious and went up to a 3.75 GPA for 11th and 12th grades. Unfortunately only 2 years of a high GPA didn't help me get into a good school. Why the hell does a 9th and 10th grader need to worry about college? It wasn't that I didn't want to do good in school, I just HATED homework. I would ACE all my tests, but wouldn't turn in homework. No teacher ever explained to me why I still would get a "C" if I got 95% or better on each test including mid-terms and finals. I mean, I studied for SAT's for exactly 1 day and pulled down a 1420. I'm not stupid ... well ... I'M NOT!!! Now that I'm on the "other" side, I see it alot different. Thankfully both kids do very well in school, and enjoy doing well in school. I just hope it keeps up.

Dayton actually might be a possibility. Found flights on Delta getting into Dayton at 10:19am connecting through Cincinnati for $319. Funny thing though, checked to see how much to just fly into Cinci and it's $484 for the same exact flights, just no connecting. I will never understand how these airlines work.

First, thank for all of the tips, VERY much appreciated. Second, this will be a kids free trip (if it happens) so child swap, etc won't be an issue. Third, tickets won't be an issue since we would just get CF AP's from Knott's before we go (We have coupon's for $60 Knott's AP's, don't ask us how ... ) Fourth, if we ended up flying into Detroit, is there another park on the way to CP that we could do on Friday Morning/Afternoon and just get to CP on Friday night? Then we would do GL on Saturday and CP on Sunday and Monday. Of course, flying into Detroit would mean less time at CP on Monday. Regarding WDW, it's strictly a money issue. Our WDW hotel package was alot (even though that was paid for) but the cost of plane flights for the time we were going were heading up, instead of down and it was going to cost us close to $2000 to fly. So we decided we couldn't really swing that this year and are now looking for trips we can do with just the $$ we will get back from WDW now. Thanks again for the awesome tips, hope this trip works out.

^ Eric, you clean up so nicely ... Did you lock that girl up yet???

So, now that we have had to cancel our WDW trip we are thinking of possible other trips we could possibly do. Unfortunately we probably won't be able to do any trips that are already planned because of work stuff. No Dells or PPP. So, the only weekend we really have to do a trip is my Birthday Weekend Aug. 19th through 22nd. So looking at possible trips for that weekend, I thought of CP, plus flights to Cleveland look to be cheaper than to anywhere else. The plan I had was Geauga Lake on Friday, CP on Saturday and Sunday and something else close on Monday (Or a 3rd day at CP). But, researching this trip has brought up a few questions: 1. Does Breakers Express also allow for early entry into Cedar Point? 2. What are the best (cheapest and clean) hotels to stay in near Geauga lake. 3. I know CP isn't the best park to go to on a Saturday, but realistically how bad will it be? 4. Is 2 full days (Saturday and Sunday) enough for CP for people who have never been? 5. What other area parks could we do on Monday that would allow us to get back to Cleveland airport by about 5pm? Or would it be better to just have 2 1/2 days at the point? 6. Would it be better to do another park on Saturday morning, CP on Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday and all day Monday? This trip is in NO WAY set in stone, or even penciled in a calendar. Kristi and I really haven't discussed it other than a "Hey, what about CP that weekend". I've just been slow at work today and had some time to do some reasearch. Here are some more screenshots: The first 2 are of Steel Dragon 2000, which I'm still not happy with. Still WAY too many forces and I can't get the layout exact with the limtations of the game. I think it's as close as I can get it though. The second set are of Shockwave. Shockwave queue and station Shockwave Steel Dragon Queue and Station

Another awesome TR: I have a few questions though. What is Coca-Cola light? I'm assuming it's Diet Coke. Second, about this picture: Why is Dan biting Elissa's ass? Did Mary's Ice Cream hit Dave's head? Was that Sugar Free Ice Cream Dave was eating, or will we soon learn of the first casualty of this trip? And this picture makes me miss you!!! Is that wrong
