Our trip for September (23rd through 25th) is changing. Due to outside circumstances our trip is now going to be a "Fun" trip other than a "finding a new place to live" trip. Which has forced us to TOTALLY change our schedule. Basically looking at the parks in that area only Knoebels, Dorney and SFGAdv are open Saturday and Sunday. On Friday no parks are open except for BGW. Hershey is closed the ENTIRE weekend. What I want to know are the logistics of doing Knoebels, Dorney and SFGAdv in 2 days. And still being back to Baltimore in time for a 6pm flight on Sunday. I think we are going to do BGW on Friday morning/afternoon since it's the only park open. Then make our way either to Knoebels/Dorney or SFGAdv (whatever makes the most sense). So my question is, can this be done? And, if it can, what the best plan of attack is, logistics wise. Thanks in advance for the help. Also, if there are other parks that are worth doing that would make our trip not so insane that would be much appreciated as well. Sucks that SFA isn't open that time.

Donkey Does London
Sir Clinksalot replied to StripeyMiata's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dude, that was totally awesome!!! Too bad Robb didn't have a Donkey ... he could have done "Donkey around the world" ... Oh wait ... -
It appears that Samuel L. Jackson is going to be starring in a movie called Afro-Samurai. Yes, you heard that right. Seriously, this could be the coolest movie ever. Read about it here: http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=20906

WOW, how did you get there?
Sir Clinksalot replied to benzo41190's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have only ridden like 94 coasters, so me making a top 10 would include some coasters that would have no reason being in a top 10. The only ride I always wondered (WTF) on was X. I can 'maybe' see it's first year. It was new, thrilling, etc, etc, etc. But now? People are still so hung up on the ride and it sucks. -
Hi everyone, As you may have noticed, the 1st RCT Coaster Challenge is underway. This thread is intended for general chatting about the challenge as well as a place for people to show the coasters they are working on. Thanks for all the interest in the contest so far, it's been really encouraging ! Most importantly, have fun with the contest.

RCT4?
Sir Clinksalot replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Well there is already the PeepCam cheat which does ALMOST that except you have no control. You just see through the peep you renameds eyes. To access that, just click the peep you want to see through the eyes of and rename them to Jonny Watts But yeah a proper PeepCam would be nice. -
You need to use a 3D Modelling package like 3D Studio Max, Maya or Blender to make the actual model then use Jonwil's Scenery Importer to get it into the game. You can find the importer on the official RCT3 forums, be warned though, it's very temperamental and is very buggy as people are still trying to figure out a bunch of stuff. And there aren't any instructions so you have to figure it out as you go. Some Free 3D Modelling packages are: Anim8or Blender Wings3D And Jonwil's Scenery Editor can be found on this thread at Atari Community. I haven't used any of those before though.

Top five things you'd do with a Time Machine
Sir Clinksalot replied to Justin Adams's topic in Random, Random, Random
Actually I have to lean in the "getting lotto numbers doesn't change anything" theory. If someone were to go into the future and obtain the numbers, then return to present time with the information, they're influencing the PRESENT and the POSSIBLE future, but they're not jiggling the past at all. The potential future timeline is now skewed (which, I guess, is actually influencing the past of the future, but since the future hasn't theoretical happened yet, his actions in the present only mean that there are now two possible futures and... Aw crap. Just watch the opening five minutes of Slacker. You'll see where I'm going. (look, it worked in BTTF 2, and that should be the film that all time travel technology should be based around anyways). -
SFMW or Paramount Great America?
Sir Clinksalot replied to Squirt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If I had to choose I would go with PGA. I did like alot of the coasters at SFMW (Roar, V2 and Medusa) but PGA is more of a "complete" park IMO. Top Gun is not to be missed. -
Not a huge fan of POVs, but that was pretty well done. The colors on that camera are pretty outstanding (and I'm watching the vid on a burned out monitor, so that's definitely saying something). You kept that thing a heckuva lot steadier than I've ever managed (there was a reason my contest entry only had about four seconds of (slowed down) POV in it).

Hey Robb, I found a pic of Disneyland Paris on Google Earth. Is this the kind of thing you are looking for? If so we found Parc Asterix, but the satellite pic isn't very good quality, but I can post it if you want! Also, you cant see it on the pic but the car park is way bigger than the park! it's huge! P.s just found Bobbejaanland, Kasterlee, Belgium! (Also not great quality) I'm having fun finding these, let me know if you do want me to post the pics! Disneyland Paris (i think!)

RCT4?
Sir Clinksalot replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That's something I'd love to see, height restrictions, or at least being able to set whether the coaster is suitable for children/adults etc. If RCT4 includes Soaked! features I'd also like to see the ability to set pools in waterparks as "exit pools" so peeps don't get in them. That way it's a bit more realistic. -
Favorite pre- 1980's coaster

Grand National at Blackpool Pleasure Beach! -
I can't believe how good this video is. It's hosted on the Tokyo Disneyland Fanpage so I'm assuming it was Japanese tourists who shot the video. And it also appears they filmed the Block Party a few times and did a nice job of editing and getting the sound right. Enjoy. You can find the video here: http://sulley.cool.ne.jp/anaheim50th/anahaeimbpb.htm

Favorite pre- 1980's coaster
Sir Clinksalot replied to CP_fan_boy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As for coaster that I personally rode before 1980, I guess the only one would be Matterhorn. As for my favorites that I have ridden since: Mindbender (SFOG) GASM (SFOG) Shock Wave (SFOT) Montezooma's Revenge (Knott's) Corkscrew (Knott's) If they were still in good working condition you could also add: Revolution (SFMM) Colossus (SFMM) -
Just got done watching Alexander ... The rumors are true. It sucks ... ass.

Disney has too many bird movies.
Sir Clinksalot replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
^^ What do you mean they don't care if they lose money or not. Of course they do. A company isn't going to do anything that won't make them money. Period. If you will look at Valiant, it was made by another studio. Disney is just distributing it. They have no financial risk whatsoever in this movie. They will make money. As for Chicken Little ... I hope it doesn't do well because then Disney would see they need Pixar. -
In the morning ... Coffee. In the afternoon ... Coffee. Generally a non-fat Extreme Ice Blended from Coffee Bean. Or a Coffee Light Frapacino from Starbucks. In the evening ... Coffee. Same as above. I have been known in the past to get a Hansens energy drink or a Bawls energy drink. I hate Red Bull.
